  1. The campaign is dependent upon my survival! Which works since I'm the only person willing to be a caster. Despite being a spectacularly bad spellcaster.
  2. It's called Dawn of the Seeker in all english references I can find. That might be a localized title, however, not simply translated.
  3. The Katarina-Lucas relationship being seemingly glossed over did end up surprising me. I doubted if the characters even knew, or if it was just supposed to be us knowing something behind the scenes.
  4. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 Hoooooooooo. I like to think of myself as oldschool. "I was there, man!" I mean, I call FPS games DOOM clones. But... I was not there for this. That whole generation of early 3D enemies around Quake. I missed that whole shebang. And this game makes that abundantly clear. It's completely alien to me. Quake had just come out, but I couldn't play it, then Quake 2, Jedi Knight, even both System Shock games. I only came back to PC gaming in 2000, while Half-Life was still king and Deus Ex was just coming out. And it makes me ashamed. :'( That four year gap
  5. So far, the biggest difficulty for me is, that you can't assign favourite spells to quick keys (at least, I haven't found such an option). I've been putting myself on fire while healing goblins and killed myself by spontaneous forcefield creation that catapulted me through the air out into the ocean. Fancy robes or not, wizards swims like rocks If either of you two are looking for co-op buddies, I might know a guy. And by "a guy," I mean "I am desperate for people to play this with."
  6. Anime The girl is Cassandra from DA2.
  7. BH story was one part gameshow and one part Unknown Rival. Could have made for a very funny joke, but I think they were serious. I think the guy whose pants were in a knot was supposed to be important. He was a recurring character and everything. Even killed my mentor of 5 minutes. Don't remember what his problem was. And then there was Tattooine.
  8. I guess I fall into the disliking MMOs in general category. I've played a few, enjoyed them, but I make a point not to commit to them and usually only last a couple of months. Combat was nice. It was faster than wow. It was good for an MMORPG, but not enough to draw me itself. The story I strain to discuss without spewing bile. It wasn't good and I'd encountered worse, but then it just hit a button that I couldn't stand. I understand my low opinion will be a minority.

By default, wireless 360 controllers do not come with a charge cord or rechargeable batteries. You have to buy a "plug and play kit" for that. Some controllers may be packaged with a plug and play kit, but you'll have to double check.
  10. Are we dead yet? No? Obviously my Wild Mage isn't standing directly behind the entire group enough. Or right in the middle. I'm flexible.
  11. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees. I'll be skipping Battlefield games until they bring something back that interesting. The only modern one I played was Bad Company 2, but that seems sufficient to get all I wanted out of the style. Finished The Next Big Thing yesterday. Started off okay, got weak in the middle, then ended especially well. Also finished Dark Forces 1 yesterday. So I'll be trying Dark Forces 2 tonight.
  12. Star Wars: Dark Forces If I ever find the guy who thought DOOM clones and platforming mixed... Actually the platforming isn't bad. It's not fun, but I don't fall too often.
  13. Tomb Raider Legend. Not really able to hold my interest, so I drop out of it every now and then to try something else that might.
  14. If I ever end up in it, it'd better be as Wild Mage or so help me!

They ran out of third party prizes. If you go for any gift pile achievements, you can only get valve coupons and games now.
  16. I don't believe in "years." That's just a construct of the man to hold us down. Be safe if you're going out.
  17. Puzzle Agent Great game. Sort of an American Professor Layton. A bit of a cliffhanger, though. Maybe Puzzle Agent 2 will resolve it.
  18. I like 4E Forgotten Realms. What I don't particularly like is that it is necessarily Forgotten Realms. The new Neverwinter, Thay, and Athkatla, the introduction of Abeir, are all great places. But I don't think they needed to be Neverwinter, Thay, and Athkatla. It seems almost gratuitous to change the setting into a new setting with old names instead of just creating a new setting. And the Spellplague was just crap. It could be nice as a setting itself. It ends up feeling tacked on at times. Like the setting has just become too busy. This city is now filled with refugees, this one has become destroyed, this one taken over by undead, and the political climate of these have shifted dramatically, oh and there was a near apocalypse recently, y'know, for flavor.
  19. Played a couple hours of War in the North. Adequate for me. But my standards are often considered low. I can't recommend it unless you're a big LOTR fan, maybe not even then. Opinion could easily change once more abilities get unlocked.
  20. Not a good day for kitty. I had a reason to suspect a urinary tract infection. So, take him to the vet yesterday. They can't get enough pee to test, so they hold him overnight to test this morning. Tests come back before I even get off work and he has crystals. So he needs a special diet and medicine. No big deal. On the way back from the vet, he decides to crawl under the carseat to hide. And gets stuck. Freaks out, cuts his paw. The bleeding has stopped, he's still walking on the foot and jumping, so I'll check on him again in the morning. I don't think the cut is bad, but still... poor kitty.

They ended up selling me on Guardian of Light yesterday, Binding of Isaac and War in the North today. Yeah, I'll never get around to playing all I've got.
