Question about the Mandalorians...
Darth Nuke replied to GirlGamersUnite's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh man, the strength of the Mandalorian went down the toilet from KOTOR to the Original Trilogy...if the storm troopers are Mandalorians who easily die by blaster fire or one stroke of the lightsaber, what happened to their strength? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Clones in the OT were not all Jango Clones. Many of them were made up of a new clone template, or were just Galactic citizens who became Storm Troopers. The Mandalorians during the Old Trilogy didn't have any power anymore, because they were enslaved by the Empire. Though a Mandalorian who faught in the Clone Wars would free them and make them into a pretty good size army again. Mandalorians by the time of the New Jedi Order are already on their way back to kick ass status. -
Question about the Mandalorians...
Darth Nuke replied to GirlGamersUnite's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Lets not be hasty and say Boba and Jango were of the blood line of Cassus. Either way the Fetts have a strong connection to the Mandalorians. Boba Fett even became Mandalore in the New Jedi Order era. -

Well he approves it then. Matters not anyway. That Article is continuity, and Kreia is wrong. -
Question about the Mandalorians...
Darth Nuke replied to GirlGamersUnite's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
and I know what you mean by what Lucas said bo. He said no one work in his movie era, right. Meaning the EU couldn't tell Anakins story, only Lucas could. And Lucas did, but the EU tells story's inbetween like it's down for years like in the OT. Between EP 1 there is EU material okayed by Lucas Between Ep 2 there is EU material Okayed by Lucas and so and so on. -
Question about the Mandalorians...
Darth Nuke replied to GirlGamersUnite's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Um what are you talking about? there has been EU for and between the movies for years, and it's still happening as the Republic series is telling the Clone Wars. If fact this is whay George wanted. George Lucas sees everything EU, and yes he does give the yay or nay on the subject matter. Just so they don't contradict his movies. Other than that all EU material is fine, and obviously he thought nothing wrong with the Mandalorian Article. So Abel worked his ass off to make the best Mandalorian historical Article ever. It was a project by LFL(whom Lucas owns) because the Mandalorian history was so screwed up. Abel took it upon himself to write it, and did a fantastic job. The Mandalorians had been apart of the clone war since 1980, but AOTC changed a few things. For instance Boba Fett was the leader of the 212, but Lucas did his own thing, and that is his right. So continuity makes Boba Fett a Clone Trooper who had beliefs in the Mandalorians Way. Abel took everything that happened to the Mandalorians in the clone war and beyond and made it work. Only thing Abel made up were the fixes which are now full fledge continuity. See Marvel told the story of the 212, who faught in the Clone Wars. Marvel also told the story of Fenn Shysa and Tobi Dala. Abel was working from previously created continuity made back in 1982. So yeah there was material. -
Question about the Mandalorians...
Darth Nuke replied to GirlGamersUnite's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Um, bud, that entire Article is continuity according to LFL. The man who wrote worked his ass off to make sure he got everything right. He is the same one who wrote the Who's Who articles, and his latest is this Mandalorian Article. So it's continuity and should be offically believed. -

It's not in a book, but an Article. It's apart of the Star Wars Insider Magazine. Issue 80: http://www.starwars.com/community/news/200...ws20050110.html -
Question about the Mandalorians...
Darth Nuke replied to GirlGamersUnite's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Um people, Kreia's prophecy is wrong. In the new Insider issue of Star Wars, there is an Mandalorian Article telling most of the history. The Mandalorians are very much alive during the Clone Wars. Though not many are warriors. After Jango's Death, a Arc Clone Trooper who was not reconditioned by the Kaminoians, took off to Mandalore. He rebuilt a group of 212 Mandalorians. This Arc Trooper, named Spar, would take the title Mandalore(though more of a rank at THIS particular time concidering Mandalore is under control of a Mandalorian Government, not just one leader). These Mandalorians faught many battles in the Clone Wars, and by the end only 3 were believed to have survived. Spar, and two friends Tobbi Dala, and Fenn Shysa. Spar's future is never told, but Fenn and Tobi return to Mandalore to find it under the Control of slavers and Imperials. Years later Tobi would give his life to free Mandalore from the slavers. This would leave Fenn to rebuild the Mandalorians. Fenn himself took up the title Lord Mandalore, and would be the first Warlord in decades. After a 20 year reign Fenn was killed saving the life of Boba Fett on the planet of Shogun. Boba Fett, who was hired to kill Shysa, honored him, and took the title of Mandalore. Boba Fett and the new Mandalorian army would face off against the Yuuzhan Vong, and liberate three planet from them. In this time the Mandalorians are once again strong. Kreia is wrong for one reason, and one reason only. She sees only the Dark Side, never the lightside. This is how the force works. The Sith only see what the Dark side shows them. -
I'd rather be Revan again, and finish his story.

MY KotOR III suggestion box
Darth Nuke replied to Jesra Winsu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not beign Revan is a bad idea. A trilogy does not need 3 hero's. Revan still has plenty of story to tell. We would still be choosing his gender, light/dark, and what he looked like, so there is no problem. Revan still have a love interest unfinished. He tried to prepare a Galaxy and failed, he now has to fight a enemy a defeat them befoer they take over the Galaxy. Revan definitly has story to tell, and as the hero of the series we should finish it as him. A new PC is dumb, and not needed. A new PC would dwindle the epic trilogy, and the characters in it. Make it less important. -
IT's offical, and Darth and Dantooine are fine in the era. Stuff like The valley of the Dark Lords, Basilisk War Droids, and other small things are what cause continuity mess ups. But either way LFL goes by continuity, and continuity alwasy over takes anything the KOTOR series does. I believe it's a ,we did it first, it goes our way policy. That means in continuity the Valley of the Dark Lords and the Basilisk War Droid look like they are supposed to look.

List of continuity mistakes
Darth Nuke replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, but Sadow isn't in it. It's memorial, Sadows Body is on Yavin. It can't be found, because there is still the possibility that he is still in stasis after training Nadd. Therefore he technically in Continuity isn't DEAD, yet. -
List of continuity mistakes

Only thing is, according to the Mandalorian, the Basilisk is a salvaged one from the Mandalorian Wars. Which still had the animal form, according to Canderous. So obsidian is wrong again. -
List of continuity mistakes
Darth Nuke replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That Basilisk IS a Basilisk War Droid. With enough power and weapons to take out entire fleets, Canderous rode these kind in the Mandalorians proven by his discriptions. Also there is Close ****pit design for the Basilisk that could have been used in the game. Also your right a regular Republic military man could get burt up in the atmosphear. Though these are made by Mandalorians, who HAVE traveled through the atmo on these Basilisk with just their armor as protection. Canderous did this in one of his tales. That Virago looks stupid as hell, with hardly any fire power, and weapons. Long live the SILLY kind that could actually KICK ASS. -

Darth Nuke replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, like I said the mistake WAS fixed, but now it's remade in KOTOR 2. Either Way Sadow isn't on Korriban. Also this is a Basilisk War Droid http://www.galacticholonet.com/Droids/Basi..._War_Droid.html -
List of continuity mistakes
Darth Nuke replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Actually 700 years BEFORE KOTOR 2. And there was no one to move Naga Sadows body on Yavin 4, all the Massassi had know way of transport, and were all killed years later. So Naga is still there. Revan never went to Yavin, nor did any of the Sith. I believe it was even Bioware who said that Naga's tomb should be looked at as a Memorial for the Dark Lord. See they fixed the mistake, Obsidian just remade it. -

Nah, just having a bit of fun. Obsidian did all this research and still made enough mistakes. Quite funny, to someone who KNOWS his Star Wars. -

Naga Sadow isn't entombed on Korriban, his Body is on Yavin 4. -
1. Why are Sith trying to bring back Nadd when he's destroyed? Meaning that Nadds force presence was obliterated by Exar Kun. Nadd isn't even on the force map anymore. 2. A Basilisk War droid doesn't look like a Virago Star fighter from SOTE. Silly or not, continuity is continuity. Plus the Silly Basilisk War Droid can lay waste to fleets. 3. Naga Sadow is ALSO one of the Sith Lords not entombed on Korriban 4. The Nagai shouldn't be mentioned in anyway shape or form. They are a race in hte unknown regions. Who don't make themselves known for 4000 years, when they start the short War with the New Republic. 5. Valley of the Dark Lords, yes, yes, yes. My fav. Now I thought Chris did his research, not even KOTOR made this many mistakes.

MY KotOR III suggestion box
Darth Nuke replied to Jesra Winsu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah, but I don't believe it's a wise decision to deal with Sith like Nihilus and True Sith at the same time. Takes way from the development of the True Sith, who will only have one game to become a dominant enemy. I believe it was the battle of Telos intent anyway, that all the Sith from Revans and Malaks time be destroyed. See this even increased the need to be Revan even more, because he no longer has any Jedi or Sith to help him out against the True Sith Race. He does have the Mandalorians, and they might give the Sith a nice pounding, but they are to small a force now to destroy them. The Republic is weaker than before, and he's all alone. So now Revan has might have the thinking, that he's failed, and this adds to his character. Add a force Ghost Kreia to the mix, and it's all set.
