While rogue/cipher/ranger is bad singelclass maby, as multiclass they can add alot so don´t see them as total trash. Rogue can add 100%+ dmg to auto attacks (with diffrent talents). Cipher have big melee nuke. Ranger got good bonuses for a ranged focused char (focused on using ranged auto attacks) and add another meat shield.

Importing save imports choices only. You will be creating character from cratch anyway. Backgrounds do get reactivity. If you recreate your character and give him “Deadfire” background you will get the reactivity. Whom you played in PoE1 won’t matter. Companions who are dead, stay dead. If Eder/Aloth/Pallegina died they won’t join you for the sequel. Luckily for you, there is save editor if you want to create a “perfect save” or you can choose one of the premade saves. Saves are stored in the same place for both platforms. You should have no problems. Bless you <3.

Portraits II
BijaT replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Do you have to use watercolor version? I am no fan of watercolor pics. Or will it look wierd? Also you have to have small version of the pics? won´t the game simply resize your large version into a smaller version? I get it´s better to cut to only face in small version maby but.. -
Did you even check the links? Sure most codes are from twitter, but qute a few from other sources. And exept maby 1? all codes have been 1 or 2 klicks away from twitter, that they woud hide the last codes in some ubscure chinease website that only get 500 klicks a month is not likley.

You think major corporations don't disrupt those? It's far more worthwhile to see that: 1: There's a general consensus among the professional reviews. and 2: Fan and professional reviews match up. A good example of the latter being remarkable is Dragon Age Inquisition, likely due to the reviewers focusing on the core game and players expecting more from the side content. In other area, why rely on "professional" media when random blogs and my cousin's facebook page are so much more trustworthy? Well normaly atleast when i read player commnets/reviews i read atleast 15+ and read the comments. When you read a "professional" review theres ALOT more filler lines and with the same time you can maby read 2 reviews and they are prob from similar sites. But best way i think is find smaller review sites/youtube channels that try to be professional but don´t got thet backing from the industry and therfor prob got a more health view on the game.

They can be useful at day 1 to see if theres any major problem with the game that you can´t wait to get your hands on. But honestly if your that eager you prob don´t care and secondly thease "professionals" seems to miss alot of problems in alot of games and find all the problems in some other games...

still thats 70% base even if its only 2% inrease per power lev thats 88% pure rogue and 84% like multiclass. Tho multiclass will have ther bumb in dmg alot later (when they get access to level 7 abilities). If i understand right multiclass get lev 7 abilities but not 8/9, if multi don´t get lev 7 then its 32%. If we say it´s 5% its 115% for singel and 105% for multi

Theres also deep wound, 20% of your dmg as a raw damage dot on target, sounds potent.. But guess then maby monk/rogue nature godlike will pwn? if your build your monk right he can keep up swift strike all the time prob and that meens constant +2 power lev (shoud mitigrate the reduce power lev from multiclass) and free +20% attack speed Also if you focus on crit, the swift flurry woud be really good (chance for one free attack evry time you crit) Maby one hand rapier and use the modal (+20 accuracy & 50% increased recovery). Dam i wanna build a singel rapier wielding rogue/monk now xD.

Shields
BijaT replied to BijaT's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
guess using light shield? if i understand right most enemies run from engagments pritty fast if they don´t feel threatend by you, maby the guard modal upgrade is enuff? Or maby a high perception/str to make your attacks more damaging. I woud like to know how potent engagment rly is befor building smth so meta like that =D -

BijaT replied to BijaT's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Well fighter have a modal that give +3 engagement (and the other options dont seem that potent) and alot of engagment from other abilites (across most classes). To have more then 4-5 engagement seems to be overkill. 3 from modal, 1 from talent and maby one from weapon/other class. Sure if you building a pala/barb tank or similar the shield engagment bonus may be more important. But honestly any proper tank shoud be fighter or multiclass fighter. -

I also kinda wonder if armor is usefull at an extent for characters that don´t focus on armor..it seems if you don´t have higher armor then the enemies penetration you might aswell remove the armor, the increased damage from full penetration (+30%) seems to not be sutch a burden for non melee chars compare to the increased rec speed. I guess that most enemies weapons will have "normal" penetration (same as party) that will say 6-9 penetration on basic weapons and guess if u play on PotD they give some buffs to them at maby +1 atleast, meening you need atleast 8 armor to reduce the damage from some attacks, 11 to reduce from maby half the attacks and even more later in the game. The best armor gives 10 armor and no other gear (exept some special i guess) don´t give armor and i have not seen any ability that increase armor by more then 1. So you prob gotta be pritty "focused" on armor to get it to a effective level? -
Will you guys use them? With the reduced ammount of characters i guess evryone has to draw even more to the pile. I guess a support charater (that got minimal auto attack damage) may benefit from it, but most solo class casters seems to have a focus on damage/cc/debuff abilities and will at best want to use a small shield (to not loose accuracy). But will there be room in the higher dificulty to have a dedicated tank? or is it a waste of a spot? A pala/chanter can buff allies sure, but allies gotta be close aka draw some of the aggro themself (reduce the demand of super tanky) or far away to let the tank tank and don´t benefit from chants/auras (if they don´t got super long range in PoE 2). And if a pala/chanter want to use offensive spells/chants they prob gonna loose qute abit on the - to accuracy.

Double shield
BijaT replied to Kampel's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Well there is a modal (i guess?) that reduce dagger damage by 25% and increase deflection by 10. Don´t seem to be worth it tho..if your not rly tank focused but then dagger + shield is prob better..or even better hatchet/spear + shield. -
"Migraine" is the best route to go if you want to avoid grossing folks out. Anybody who has experienced it will have immediate sympathy, folks won't fear you're contagious, and it's not suspicious if you look and act completely normal the next day. migraine is not a good option for us. is known by colleagues Gromnir suffers from migraines with aura. https://americanmigrainefoundation.org/understanding-migraine/migraine-and-aura/ had an incident on a plane a few years ago which caused a bit o' a panic before we could communicate we were not having a stroke. got a laminated card for such moments, but were a comic fail. we have migraine with aura and it means 3 days in a dark room wishing somebody would put us out of our misery, followed by a couple days of migraine hangover. would be a week long excuse, if we were so inclined to mislead. as to the thread question, am somewhat disappointed to admit we need only let folks know, "i am going to be out of the office for next few days," to get a couple days o' free time. our relative importance to daily operations is a fraction 'bove insignificant. take care o' our business and we get a fair bit of latitude. HA! Good Fun! You shoud tell Gromnir to get medication. My mother have Migraine and got 3-5 days auras/headec/etc but she found a medicine that stops it within 5min now. I do belive it´s seratonin based but can check agen with her today.

I will pray to the multiclass gods to not fk my party up end game xD right now im leaning towards: PC Pala/chanter (tank/dragon slash) Pallegina, same Xothi priest/monk (wanna check those both special classes out) Tekehu druid/chanter (wanna check those out aswell =D) Maia Rua ranger/rogue (seems like a good combo) I am abit afraid i won´t have enuff damage...but hope dragon trash is as good as on PoE 1 & that immolate is back.
