  1. 1: How do you feel about the prequel trilogy so far as compared to the original trilogy? So far, I prefer the original trilogy, but I don't hate the prequels like a lot of people seem to. There are a lot of things I'd like to change about them, but I still enjoy them. 2: Which storyline do you like better, the prequels' or KOTOR's? With what I've seen of the prequels' story so far, I'd have to say KotOR. There are some stupid thing in Ep. 1, and some other things that could have been done better in both movies. KotOR's story isn't perfect, but is still very well done and one of the better story's I've seen, in my opinion. 3: If (like me)you have been disapointed with EP. 1 and 2, do you think that it's possible that the third flick could save the trilogy. Yes. I don't think the prequels will ever reach the status of the original trilogy, but if the third movie is good enough, it will go a long way to alleviate my disappointment over the first two films. 4. Would you like to see more Star Wars films after this trilogy is complete? Maybe. I like Star Wars a lot, so more quality movies would always be nice. But I am doubtful that any additional movies could live up to the Star Wars name.
  2. Yes, most of the Sith at the academy were pretty stupid: "Muahaha, I'm going to go into battle against a fallen Jedi and his two slaves, even though I'm not a full Sith yet and have limited abilities!" On a side note, it would have been cool if they let you actually take over the Sith Academy. Unfortunately, it seems that the persuade option to do so never works. It would be cool if they made things like that possible in KotOR:II
  3. This is a good question. But it's not just the Star Forge that's the problem, it's the entire Dark Ending. I just replayed the game as evil (finished it tonight), and after watching the Dark Ending again, I'm not sure how they could allow you to choose that ending. I mean, the entire Republic fleet is pretty much gone, and the final scene shows hundreds and hundreds of Sith capital ships. So even if the Star Forge was somehow destroyed, there's still all the ships to deal with. It seems to me that any way they could come up with to deal with this situation will feel a bit contrived.
  4. You could get the Sunry case thrown out? Interesting, I never knew you could do that. Ok, here's my question for the thread: What the heck is Jawa Juice? Or do I even want to know?
  5. I don't know how likely this is to get answered, as it relates to the story quite a bit... but here goes: What is the progression of planets like? Is it like KotOR, where you went from Taris to Dantooine, and then had the choice of playing the next four planets in any order you liked, before you finished on the Rakatan homeworld? Or will the planet progression be more linear? Or perhaps it will instead depend on your Dark/Light alignment?
  6. Interesting. I knew your choices could affect whether certain party members lived or died, but I hadn't seen or heard any specifics before.
  7. Most of you here may already know, but a July 9 IGN interview confirmed that other characters besides T-3 can join your party. "There will be other returning characters playing various sized roles. Some are coming back in cameo-type appearances while others will be able to join your party again, just like T3."
  8. lol! On a more serious note, I have no idea about the final. It would be cool if your choices at the beggining of the game, as well as whether you're dark/light, had an effect on the final boss of the game. If they made it like that, having Revan as the final boss for the "you're good/Revan's evil" and "you're evil/Revan's good" choices would be nice.
  9. This is a bit off topic, but I have to wonder... Am I the only one who didn't hate ANY of the main characters of KotOR? I wasn't exactly crazy about T3-M4, but I didn't hate him... it. I mean, so many people here seem to hate Carth and/or Bastilla, yet I liked both.
  10. Hmm.... interesting idea. That could be amusing, if they did it right.
  11. I believe that they said you blacked out on a Republic ship and woke up on Peragus. So they could start off showing the spaceship you were on. It's also possible it may simple show the asteroid field your in, then focus in to where your character is.
  12. I suppose he doesn't have to be dead, but something has to have happened to him, because the main character of KotOR:II is believed by the Sith to be the last known Jedi in the galaxy. So Revan is either evil(And thus a Sith, not a Jedi), dead, or disappeared. For some reason, I just have a bad feeling Revan is dead.
  13. [Edit] I messed up the title of the thread, but I seem to only be able to edit my post, not the thread title. Is there a way I'm missing? Here's is the status of each playable character from KotOR, as well as a few of my ideas about their fate. Other ideas are welcome. While there isn't much story info about KotOR:II yet, speculation can be fun sometimes. Obsidian wants to allow your choices in KotOR to affect the story in KotOR:II, though I'm not sure how big of an effect they may have. For example, allowing you to choose either the LS or DS endings of KotOR would almost force Obsidian to make two completely seperate games, as the galaxy would be in completely different situations depending on which ending you chose. So I believe Obsidian will probably restrict your choices to the different variations of the LS endings. How much detail they will go into is unkown. According to some of the recent interviews, your main character in KotOR:II is believed to be the last living Jedi. Which means Revan and all the other Jedi from KotOR are apparently dead. Of coarse, ALL the Jedi were extinct in the original movie trilogy... except for Obi Wan. And Yodi. So I find it highly likely that we will see some of our "dead" Jedi characters return. Revan: Believed to be dead/disappeared? I heard someone say somewhere that Revan disappeared a year after the events of KotOR, but I don't know if it was official. The paragraph that follows assumes it wasn't official, and that Revan is believed dead like the rest of the Jedi. Unfortunately, I believe Revan may really be dead. Annoying, but I think it is very likely true. Because Revan was YOU in KotOR, and thus had no real voice work and tons of different appearances, the problems of picking a suitable appearance/voice for him in KotOR:II would make having Revan in the game a hassle. And since he's not likely to be one of the main charecters, at least early on(he'd be too powerful), Obsidian may not consider the hassle worth it. I hope I'm wrong. Bastilla: Believed to be dead. I think the chances of her returning in some way are decently good. Of coarse, there is the fact that she can die in KotOR depending on your choices. If they let you decide her fate at the start of KotOR:II, then I don't think she could be a main part of the story. Because what would happen if you chose to have her dead? However, she may still appear, even as a playable character, just one that you don't always end up with. Juhani: Believed to be dead. I liked Juhani quite a bit in KotOR, so I would like her to return in some form. Like Bastilla, she can die in KotOR. So assuming they give you the ability to decide her fate, she's unlikely to be a huge part of KotOR:II. But at least a minor role would be nice. Jolee: Believed to be dead Keep on mind, all these sections are based on variations of the LS ending While he's not officially a Jedi, I think the Sith would include him in their hunt. So like the other Jedi, he is "dead." Since he always survives KotOR, he could be a main character in KotOR:II, but I don't think he will be. He might have a minor role, but I don't expect him to a major part of the game. Carth: Likely to be in the game With the info that Telos, Carth's bombed-out homeworld, will play a big role in KotOR:II, I find it very likely Carth will be in the game. I believe he is a strong candidate for a Light-only playable character. And perhaps he's someone you kill if you play as a Dark Jedi. Canderous: Status unkown. Who knows where he is now. I think he is likely to have a cameo role, but not anything major. He was a cool character, though, so I wouldn't mind if he was a larger part of the game. Mission Status unkown Assuming Zaalbar is still alive, one would assume him and Mission are together somewhere. I think Mission has a decent chance of appearing. Zaalbar Status unkown He owed Revan a life debt, so if Revan disappeared, we can assume Zaalbar is probably with him. If Revan is "dead", and Zaalbar didn't die when Revan did, Zaalbar may make an appearance. Perhaps he is now the Wookie Chief on Kassyyyk. HK-47 Status unkown I think he's decently likely to appear. Perhaps he is with Revan, or if Revan is dead, perhaps you can become his new master. I have a funny feeling that if Revan is truely dead, HK-47 will somehow be responsible for it, just like he caused the death of every other master of his. I hope HK-47 appears in some form, because I really liked him. T3-M4 Playable character T3's been confirmed to be in the game, and playable, at least during the tutorial. He's apparently on the badly damaged Ebon Hawk. Makes one wonder what happened to the other characters on the Hawk. Wouldn't you know that the character I want ot return the least is the only confirmed returning character...
  14. I agree, I don't want Revan dead, but I have a horrible feeling they'll kill him/her.
