I'm a huge fan of Cleric/Mage myself because it's so flexible and there is so much room for experimentation with both spell books to draw from.

Thinking about it I was slightly wrong about the weapon restrictions, Imoen was a thief/mage and she could wear leather. I'm pretty sure clerics and druids do have limitations because of their ethical codes but otherwise once you even out you ought to be able to have a fighter/mage who can wear plate and swing a broadsword, but won't be able to cast spells while wearing armour.

Given how much money there is to be won at these things female gamers likely do have a good case to kick up a fuss about this. Guys as well probably. If the female league is smaller then do they win a smaller pot? If they don't then do female teams have an easier time than male teams to get rich? Wouldn't it be easier all around for co-gender teams or is this the host's way of hosting two leagues and making more profit? (Not that there is anything necessarily wrong with that one) It seems like it's going to pinch some teams who could have made a career out of gaming though so it does suck for someone.

If you dual-class a human in 2nd edition then you can't use the original class until your new class reaches the same level or higher. It never seemed like a good idea to me but if your party can carry dead weight until the character's classes even out then it will probably make the combat more interesting because you're handicapped to start with and then you have a character who is more flexible at the end. Also, this could be wrong but I think in 2nd edition if you multiclass a human then you're limited by all the class weapon and armour restrictions. In other words if you went cleric you wouldn't be able to use blades anymore and if you go mage then you can hit things with a stick or sling but not much else and forget about wearing armour.

Cannot stop laughing, thank you. The show is called "The IT Crowd" and it's hilarious.

Don't hate on them, I like smug rogues. Hell, I (almost exclusively) play smug rogues. (Even when they're wizards.) But I like them even when they're stealing my thunder. I don't hate the archetype, smug rogues can be great and can absolutely carry a story sometimes or make great supporting characters. That said, they're not always written like that and that isn't always the role they're supposed to fill in a story. Sometimes they're meant to come across as asshats and while there can be more to them than that, they aren't going to be Zevrans or Jack Sparrows or Saeman Havarians.

You don't know that though. Sure, he looks a bit silly in that picture but he may have good lines and a good voice actor. He may actually look okay when you're playing and he may have some great armour. He could be based on the old fashioned gentleman archetype rather than the smug rogue who annoys people rather than amuses and the picture may not reflect that. We don't know very much about what he or the pirate will actually be like until we see them in-game.

With any luck it's just the quotes that are bad. I mean Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 all had less than perfect marketing campaigns. It's usually the gameplay interviews with the devs that show off what is good about Bioware titles and a trailer or two to get people excited. The "Awesome Button", hard rock music video, that video interview where someone was talking about cannibal Hawke ect are all par for the course.

Ultramarines turned out pretty well. I don't think it made enough sales to be done again but it did show a lot of potential. I think Warhammer Fantasy also has a good foundation for a movie, especially at the moment coming off the back of the Tolkien films but I guess they've decided to stick with board and computer games.

I agree, I felt bad in AC3....I killed loads of wolves and sometimes it didn't feel right It's just a game but realistic safari isn't going to appeal to everyone. As a gameplay feature I thought it was pretty redundant since you're already hunting humans who were more varied, had better AI and were more difficult, meaning that all the animals were already less of a challenge than what players were already adjusted to. A hunger games scenario in the AC games could be pretty fun though. Or really just a Hunger Games game. Someone should get on that.

I think Atton is probably Obsidian's best written romance. Because the character is so integral to the main plot and his dynamic with Kriea and the way she uses that romance over the course of the game ect. makes all the difference. I'm going partly off of the leaked cut-content as well but there are so many things about that one that were done so well, that whole arc is a really good story above everything else and it's another reason to lament that kotor2 was released as it was and not as it could have been.

My recent UFO assaults have looked more like police raids with teams storming the entry points with flashbangs, stun batons and shields. I agree great game, it's also nice how even though it feels like X-Com there are enough important variations that you can't just auto-pilot back to old X-Com tactics and strategies. And oh my god, how great is that airstrike option? It always used to get so annoying when I just wanted that next piece of research and instead I had to do a couple of UFO crashes instead. Huge time saver.

They've shown Geralt with a couple of different haircuts and beard/clean shaven looks so far so I'd assume that barbers will be about.

After watching Days of Future Past I went out and bought the original with the biggest case of rose tinted glasses I've ever had. I realised about fifteen minuets in what a horrible mistake I'd made. I was expecting Chris Nolan's Batman and instead got the Adam West TV show. It was so cheesy. It's probably a good thing it took six movies to get the sentinels.

Have they said if the different mounts are going to be purely cosmetic?

The smaller the teams the more cooperation tends to happen in my experience. You can of course have bad partners in games like Splinter Cell Blacklist, Left 4 Dead and Portal 2 but I've found for the most part that people will at least try to help each other out when the sizes are small enough to learn each others screen names. Why is the lack of female player avatars such a big deal by the way? Sure it would be nice to have the option but it doesn't really impact the gameplay at all.

I dunno, given that it's going to play more like an action rpg now filler combat will probably be more of plus than a negative or at least last longer before it becomes a chore.

Skyrim isn't in fashion anymore so if DA:I is anything like it then it must be a steaming pile of horse manure that has travelled through the sewers of Paris while wrapped in a pair of sweaty socks that were pulled from Satan's anus.

I was mostly just making a joke, although I think that there was a bug on release where he did show up when he wasn't supposed to. Morrigan can't die but you can stab her through the stomach in the Witch Hunt DLC. Guessing that won't go over so well when you- oh wait, nevermind. That would have been really awkward.
