They got rid of Andrew Garfield? God dammit. He was great as Spidey. I take it this doesn't bode well for the Sinister Six and Venom?

So ESO has just become Day Z for computer controlled characters?

I've heard lots of goods things about Divinity, how is the story by the way? I remember reading that there is a lot of humour in the game and then they started talking about how reactive all the elements were and how much use you get out of skills like talking to animals. Thanks for reminding me. Have they concluded season one of Wolf Amoung us yet? How is the Borderlands TTG so far? I'd also suggest to you that Tales of Monkey Island is worth picking up if you've never played it. The first episode has one or two really tedious puzzles but overall that series was hillarious and it's probably still my favourite Tell Tale game atm. Hadn't heard of Lords of Xulima before, it looks a bit like a blend of Baldurs and Wizardry 8? I'll definitely read up on it.

Do you think there's any chance of another Obsidian Fallout being announced?

Shadow Realms looked like an interesting project. As an avid Left 4 Dead player I was really interesting in what Bioware would turn out :/

Hi guys, the time of my second-laptop-coming is almost upon us. I have a hefty backlog to dig into already including Wasteland 2, Dreamfall Chapters, Broken Age part 2, Walking Dead season 2 episodes 3-5, Mechwarrior Online's clanner mechs, Jagged Alliance Flashback and Pillars of Eternity. Was there anything else you guys could recommend that was released from July last year to now? Help me get back into the loop.

I haven't played uncharted to be honest, it's just the comparison I always hear and couldn't think of anything else comparable I'd played first-hand. Okay let's try this, it's like Max Payne 3 without the bullet-time, very frequent easy ledge jumping and climbing, easy quick-time events, easy puzzles, minor levelling and weapon customisation. It's also made by the Deus Ex:Human Revolution team. Check out some gameplay vids (Not the intro tutorial), it'll give you a good idea of what you're getting into. It'll only last a few evenings btw so don't expect a marathon title. But I was happy with it at full price so if you like this genre of game you'll probably be satisfied with it on discount.

Tomb Raider was a fun, cinematic 3rd person shooter with light rpg elements. So long as you don't mind it being like Uncharted rather than the old Tomb Raider games then yes, worth it.

What I wouldn't give for a quality Gotrek & Felix game.

I don't have a pc anymore so I'm posting from a kindle. It has some limitations and embedding videos seems to be one of them.

I think it's brilliant what they did but needed sign-posting. As I mentioned before, you could easily do three playthroughs of DA:I, get the full story and barely have to replay any of the same areas. Replaying the same levels is what usually turns me off of replays, even making different choices that have reactions like in Alpha Protocol, too much been there and done that. If I'd known ahead of time how little impact the areas have on anything I'd have rolled more characters and tried different world states (would have likely felt more balanced too), but like most people I burned myself out doing everything in one go. I still love DA:I but that seemed like a wasted... experience, I guess. Or maybe that was just me.

Xenonauts is amazing, I prefer it to UFO and TftD. Apocalypse is still my favourite of the genre though, even beating JA2 to the number one spot. I wish someone would do a spiritual successor and expand on the interacting factions, individual scientist and engineers, alien types, vehicles, equipment, the living, breathing city ect. There were so many cool facets in that game that were only lightly touched on, a good team could create something monolithic out of the skeleton of X-Com 3.

So long as you still have a healthy budget and a number of experienced troops then you're doing okay. A lot of players use rookies as cannon fodder so 50 KIA isn't even especially high.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/326670/ Hmm, was just thinking about this the other day. It would also be great if Olivia Wilde and Scarlett Johanson were to have a threesome with me. Don't jinx it.

I'd imagine it would be for boss battles and other big moments, ie that's where the locations will be. Makes no sense to waste something like that on a few rats. It would be part of the shaman tree right? So you'd still be getting access to the other shaman abilities putting points into that tree, it's just something else to make that class feel special during big moments.

It's a nice concept, I wish them luck.

They're not as good as Sam & Max Hit the Road, but they're still fun and hilarious games. "Hit him where it hurts Sam, right in the-" Yes they're very funny. I think the Tales of Monkey Island had more frequent laugh out loud jokes though, if that's on sale I'd suggest picking it up too.

Apart from Warhammer Online, which I gather cost GW more than they spent, they haven't really gone 'all in' on videogames yet. They probably want to focus on the models for now, I mean hell, they re-release the same rulebooks and figures in slighly different poses then declare the old ones as out-of-date meaning you can't use the bloody things you recently spent £200 collecting. Thank you very much for the warning local GW which incidentally is why I stopped playing the tabletop games by the way. But yeah, seriously once they release a videogame that adequately does what the tabletop games do and has all the armies and units then the tabletop money pit they've created becomes obselete. It's different with things like Space Hulk and Blood Bowl because while these games are awesome they've always been niche compared to the main games (Although I'd like to point out that both of those boardgame recreated videogames have/are having 'updated' versions already meaning players are buying a new version of the same game again). Would be nice to see Warhammer Quest as a full-on PC title and not limited to tablets though or of course, Necromunda, which was my favourite GW by far.

Dragon Age Inquisition. If you've not tried it yet it's definately a game you can get lost in.

Why does Arsenio Hall have an AK? He's obviously in some kind of war comedy with Will Farrel.

Just to be clear, Dead Island was a first-person Diablo clone with zombie asthetic, crafting and an mmo quest sytem thrown together. A lot of people were expecting a zombie survival game the likes of which nobody had ever seen with a strong story, in large part because that's how the dumbass/actually quite brilliant marketing team pitched it as. It's noteven remotely, but once you get into the city and start getting access to a good selection of weapons and crafting recipies/items then the game really is quite good. Was very buggy at launch though and the matchmaking did kind of suck even after they fixed it. Another problem for the series was that Borderlands does this all much better.

Did it get so much? I don't remember this. Besides, the gameplay is actually very solid (no pun intended). It's just that it has so, so many hours of video stuff to watch. It is a very detailed game, but some things could have been cut... From the videos. Complaints from what I remember far outweighed the praise. The cinematics, worst boss battles in the series, stealth being reduced to crawling everywhere, the mechs being annoying ect.. I liked the gameplay, mechanically the series hadn't been better but I do think that the level design was vastly superior in MGS and Snake Eater. The boss battles, I found most of them to be fun once I figured out what the hell I was supposed to do but several were frustrating to begin with. I didn't mind the cinematics but do have a dislike for some of the more extreme Japanese anime directing that MGS4 is full of (Drebbin, the Beasts ect.). And while the story wasn't nerely as insane as I'd been lead to believe, it did feel like a bit of a weak finish somehow. I think it would have been better to ressurect Liquid proper for the antagonist rather than try to salvage that rediculous arm story from the second game. Instead we got Big Boss appearing out of nowhere for some crazy speach and an exit stage left immediately after. But anyway, though not the best in the series I had a fun couple of days playing it and it was nice to see the story arc wrapped up and all the characters from the series getting a role or a mention. Hopefully the Keifer Sutherland ones will keep improving on the formula.

Shadow of the Horned Rat, Dark Omen and Mark of Chaos were boardgame scale, at least coming from someone where the store house rules were 1,000 - 2,000 point armies per player. The only other one I can think of that did large scale battles was Warhammer Online, but y'know, not what you were getting at. I think the three above did a great job of capturing the feel of the boardgame though, and while there weren't as many spells and abilities, they still had enough. What would you live improved upon out of interesr because for the most part I always just wanted them to add every army, unit and spell to these things and declare that Warhammer had made the full transition at last.
