Mask of the Betrayer
Which game are you playing, exactly? Honestly, I've beaten NWN2 twice, with a monk and a warlock, both classes that don't lend themselves to PrCs at all. I just went vanilla. I've never really used PrCs at all in any capacity in any game. Sorry! I was poking fun at the fact that you wrote Knight's of the Nine instead of Neverwinter Nine...Knights of the Nine being the Oblivion expansion. I haven't had sex in a long time.

WOOHOOO! 1.10 Patch for NWN2 is up!
Any good ones? The Adam Miller one started well, but I haven't even finished NWN2 yet so I didn't play much. My current favorites are C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tomoachan and Pool of Radiance Remastered. Hidden Shrine a pnp remake, but with some great new twists and an added story to go along with the dungeon crawl. The author did a great job making a Mayan/Maztica setting for the module. Pool of Radiance is 2/3rds finished. It starts a bit slow but I really love how the module progresses. It really breathes new life into the first D&D video game ever made and its a great remake. Can't wait for the final chapter. I'm currently trying the top 3 highest rated modules, Tragidor, Dark Waters and Nestlehaven so I haven't formed an opinion of them yet. Thanks! I'll probably be checking them all out at some point.

Mask of the Betrayer
Bumped into two bugs I never had before in the main campaign, both show-stoppers. First Georg never appeared after gathering the militia in the village and now Daeghun (sp?) keeps telling me to go and get the shard even though it's in my pocket. Think I'll just skip NWN2 and go straight to MotB since I can't be arsed restarting...though if anyone has a savegame at the beginning of Act 2 I'd be grateful. Monk would be awesome but I'll take anything at this point so long as it's not evil. *suddenly remembers the size of a NWN2 savegame* OK, if anyone with gigs of bandwidth has one I'd certainly appreciate it.

OK I buckled and installed, just started the NWN2 campaign as a spirit shaman since I still haven't even got much into Act 2 yet. Seems to run a lot smoother than before, thumbs up for that!

Mask of the Betrayer
Given the vast number of race and class combinations, I doubt it. It does break immersion a little but since they'd have to spend half the budget on dialogue for all those different races I'll let them off.

Mask of the Betrayer
Well I've got my copy right here, and the kicker is I'm not even going to play it till I get my new PC. Hahahahahaha!

Wow, Blizzard PWNS WoW player!
It serves him right for bragging about it (I assume) on the forums. If he's spending that much money he should have done a little research first and kept his mouth shut.

10K for a digital posing pouch? What a tube!

Damn it...too late to send a card. We should conspire to deluge the Obsidian offices with birthday presents next year.

Haha! The shoe's on the other hand now! Doesn't happen often that we get things before you do.

My MotB is now being processed so it must be out in a few days in the UK at least. Think I'm going to wait till my new Core 2 Duo @ 3GHz + 8800GTS arrives, any idea if this'll run NWN2 well given that dual core isn't supported?

Games For A Laptop
It's not a site so much as an application that runs a lot of adventure games on modern computers with slightly enhanced graphics. All the Lucasarts games are supported and some of the early AGI Sierra games but unfortunately Gabriel Knight is not supported yet and probably won't be until an enormous amount of work is done.

Games For A Laptop
I have System Shock 2 installed on my laptop and it runs fine. If you like adventure games you could install ScummVM and it's ever-growing library of supported games so long as you have the games.

Now this is what I call hype...
If you'd played the game to completion you would probably find that statement laughable.

Fortress Forever!
OK, apologies to the FF crew...your mod is totally fab, but TF2 is just....it's great really. I can't see myself playing much of FF over the next few months.

It's more of a good natured tradition.

Games you are looking forward to
You mean those old, wrinkly boobies?

Mask of the Betrayer
Is the warlock fun to play Tale? I didn't much fancy casting the same spell over and over for the entire game on release but I still fancy giving it a go at some point.

Fortress Forever!
Opposing Force is a really good expansion, I'd play it at some point. Blue Shift was a bit of a non-event though.
-
Fortress Forever!
Hehe, actually I've never been a full blown TF junkie. I mainly stuck to going engineer and building sentry guns in the most annoying places I could find.
-
Fortress Forever!
I think there are more people desperate to play TF2 than there are for Episode 2. MP always sells.
-
Fortress Forever!
It's a box containing Half-Life 2, Episode 1, Ep 2, Team Fortress 2 (the big attraction for most...the sequel to arguably the most fun MP shooter ever) and Portal (some kind of first person puzzle game with a gun that makes portals). If you preorder on Steam you get to play TF2 tomorrow...price is $45 right now.

Why is the NWN2 modding scene so.... meh?
I think the fact that as mods get more advanced the amount of work increases exponentially is a factor with NWN2 and other games. Compare the number of mods for HL2 compared to HL...there really aren't a huge number of high profile ones, I can think of only 3 that I would want to spend time with (PVK2, Dystopia, FF). I guess you could argue that Valve seems to be developing the mods themselves with DoD, CS and TF2 but it still isn't what I envisioned would happen when Source was released.
