I thought that the ‘left’ here in the US would be mostly centrist in Europe. Meanwhile, our far-right are somehow even more far right than Europe’s own far-right groups. Or maybe they’re approximately the same amount of far-right since there’s not much differentiation on that side of the spectrum.

Bill Maher isn’t exactly a liberal hero though, and while the hypocrisy is there, it’s not the same level as where Roseanne went. Conservatives don’t deserve to be represented by actors who spout the stuff Roseanne did. I mean, they don’t deserve that kind of image.

As far as the hypothetical military service requirement goes, GD did say that there were Presidents who did have military service but weren’t necessarily great Presidents. IMO, it shouldn’t be a requirement because we don’t have mandatory military service in the US.

There are Presidents who would arguably be worse than Carter. Of course, it’ll depend on who you ask.
