  1. All in all, I agree to some parts, yet to some parts I think are more or less Bull****. I also saw some official list somewhere posted (can't remember where) of the most powerful Sith Lords of all time, Revan was on 9th place. With Sidious, Vader and Bane as top 3. Nihilus wasn't even on the list. Probably maybe because one really can't call him a Sith, since he didn't give a crap about the Sith Teachings, as Kreia herself stated. I have already stated that the only one who could be truly compared to Nihilus would be the Jedi Exile. Revan and Nihilus are too different types of characters. To quote Visas Marr: he's more than a presence than a man of flesh. Talking about a faceoff between Revan and Nihilus would be absurd in every sense of the word.
  2. also try to keep AA details in your Graphics Options quite low (not over 4x). I know that this doesn't really look fantastic in game, but AA is known to eat memory and lag a computer down to pieces.
  3. They didn't get actually very far. As far as I know the project halted at 15% or somesuch, or so I heard
  4. Revan took some other ship, available somewhere/somehow (probably at Trayus Academy), and left the Ebon Hawk on Malachor V
  5. Note the words ....game is beyond the scope of the project at the moment. *at the moment* leaving a little hint open that it is not impossible
  6. Doesn't necissarily make it a Sith Ability mate. Know that she held the rank of Jedi Master. And Palpatine himself stated clearly that his own master had taught him both the way of the Light and Dark. A sith of Palpatine's magnitude has to know his enemy better than his allies in order to achieve victory, like he did. Kreia knew her ally very well - but was more or less, driven not to win, but to destroy the force. So all-in-all it's a bit dumb to say that she was a True sith, because she wanted to kill the Force itself, not destroy the Jedi Order. If the Jedi Order was destroyed, well that would be a bonus to her. Jedi and Sith had equal use of masking their presence in the Force, I'd assume it would be an ancient technique, dating back before the First Sundering of the Jedi Order.
  7. Would be very good if we saw some (positive) major changes. The whole bugfixing thing has probably droven some fans mad...just take a look at Sturm and Xard...poor bastards
  8. I just checked TG's website and when I clicked on progress, I can see the list of all the Progress reports, but no buglist? Wth? The bugs are finally gone? something tells me that that will never truly be so. Bugs will always be around....*squishes one under his heel*
  9. I'd say that Revan would know somehow to counter it. Knowing that these teachings came from the Trayus Academy, to siphon energies out of one person and transfer it to yourself. Revan found that academy first (as far as we know) and he probably mastered that technique and learned more or less everything essential about it, including minor details.
  10. You seem to forget that that he only went back to know how to leave the Jedi, not to siphon more knowledge from her. But then again, why compare those two? If Sion could rip her left hand off, then i'm sure that Revan could rip her right foot off (at least)
  11. *cough* He's a ripoff of Kreia *cough* Amen
  12. Except when he tried to suck the force out of the Exile. That must have felt like french kissing a 1200W vacuum cleaner. Something tells me you know what that feels like, mate
  13. I know! Anakin was in KKK! or something...
  14. I daresay that Revan's knowledge of the Force would be greater than Kreia's. Know that Revan had MANY masters after he emptied the knowledge of Kreia. And I think it's a bit wrong to say 'intelligence' in that debate, would be better to say 'cunning'. So IMO Revan was more cunning (in most aspects) than Kreia. Remember that Kreia was also considered by other jedi (at the time) as a nutjob/traitor rather than a genious.
  15. Don't feel mate. I just found it too bloody hilarious to be ignored Good to see you around agin Arch, haven't seen you here in a while. (Could be that I haven't spent too much time here either, time to make up for lost time now however... hehe) down to 23 bugs.
  16. See my posts on Page 1. I see here only Revan fanboys stating how Revan would do this, or Revan would do that to pwn Nihilus back to the Stone Age. You really must understand that Revan and Nihilus differ way too much from eachother to be truly compared in a fair manner. Revan wouldn't do s*it if Nihilus would come upon him unsuspectingly. Nihilus wouldn't be able to do **** to defend himself if it came to a Lightsaber duel. The ONLY way to destroy Nihilus was to wound him with a WOUND in the force. Remember that any weapon that would be tossed against him would be pretty useless. Nihilus is more an ethereal being than a man of flesh and blood. Period
  17. From what I can tell it sounds like either your processor but most probably your graphics card overheats, the computer - naturally - slows it down so that there wouldn't be a total meltdown on its circuits. As Mortis said above, KotoR II (and also many other games), seem to dislike ATI-cards.
  18. Know also that Revan found Malachor first and that nobody knows exactly what secrets he unlocked from Trayus Academy. It is possible, that Revan either knows a way to counter such a power - or how to wield one for himself. Knowing Revan's natural thirst for knowledge, it is assumable that he DOES know of this power and also how to use it. Remember that (in game) Revan could learn how to siphon life and force energies out of an opponent to empower himself. Surely Nihilus knew this on a larger scale - but the Developers had to naturally diminish Revan's use of this power. If Revan was more powerful than Nihilus with his own life/force-sucking abilities - lord knows what he could REALLY do to the galaxy.
  19. The short answer is no, you are the sole proprietor of the "modders-are-con-men" theory. As I said before, in a topic that is now locked, you are simply a noob asshat who wants us all to damn Team Ginza to hell for your own, unknown, reasons. You claim to be a fan of Kot0R II, yet you seem to have an irrational anger, or, possibly, a fear, at the prospect of people restoring content that was designed by Obsidian to be included in the final release. Until you can logically explain what doomsday scenario will arise, I will continue to believe that you are full of "guano." Maybe some kind of Freudian envy? *shrugs*
  20. Well said mate. Besides it's very difficult to compare Revan's Power/Strength in comparison to Nihilus. In martial arts Revan could probably take on 4 jedi knights without even getting a scratch. Nihilus was surely powerful himself, but in the end it didn't take more than just one Jedi Knight to bring him down. I'm guessing we all can remember the wise words of Master Yoda "Only a Jedi Knight, with the Force as his ally (can conquer Vader and his Emperor <---i leave that part out since it doesn't fit here hehehe ) Revan's strength was in the power to inspire troops/people to do his bidding, similar to the very onconscious leadership that the Exile inspired into his own followers. Revan inspired people through speaking, spreading teachings. The Exile inspired people by actions more than words Revan's force power differs way too much from Nihilus to be compared IMO. Only Jedi (I say Jedi since I'm thinking of the canon- Revan/Exile now) to be truly comparable to Nihilus would be the Jedi Exile. One could say that Nihilus was the Jedi exile in a very dark, depressed kind of mood (see how far women's moods can go eh? ) my two cents, Rycal
  21. Haha, that was the best thing I've heard in months Major bug? huh? Seems pretty gone to me.
  22. And if we get back to the topic We're back up on 18 (I must have missed the 17 bugs left thing ) ah no matter, hopefully this will be ready by this autumn's end. Let's just hope that TG can keep the good progress up, even if it's harder when vacation's over.
  23. I think the game will still stick to the Canon of KotoR II, where the Jedi Exile was a female human. Though the developers themselves didn't favour any gender in any aspect, they did both a full plan for male and female Exile(s) and I don't think TG will change any of those plans. It was after all, Lucasarts who said that the Exile was a female.
  24. To skip some spam and return to the topic perhaps... I'm quite curious as to how the summer really will affect the project as a whole (in a short term of course). Team Gizka are, after all, humans - so wanted to ask Dashus if you've recieved any reports from your teammates if they'll be leaving for vacation, or if the project perhaps would be put on a hold so that the team would catch a breath and come back in august with renewed powers? Has the TG staff discussed this perhaps? (Yes I know Xard, hereby I'm breaking your theory that TG is a full of All-know-coding-robots on M4-78, who work on restoring the lost content of the entire story, kind of... Someone had to tell you mate ) Keep up the good work.
