  1. Ok, highlight this spoiler that i'll post now regards, Rycal
  2. I'm beginning to wonder if any work's still being done on this mod Any word at all from the beta team or the people in charge? How's this Mod going?
  3. Are you two ladies done fighting? Or do you really want to get banned? Personally I just want to get the mod done, but there's nothing I can do about it, so why bother whining?
  4. What system do you run the game one and what is your OS? I have never encountered these troubles myself to be honest :| And I've played this game for years on many many many occasions
  5. have you checked on Youtube perhaps? Search for something like Malachor End movie or something like it
  6. No offense to anyone on the team, but that's just being an asshat from their side. Take the mod for Medieval II: Kingdoms called Third Age: Total war for instance. It was a total-conversion mod of the Kingdoms expansion into the world of Lord of the Rings. The mod started with a few dedicated people, but quickly they opened up positions and they got a huge surge of help and advices and encouragement from the entire Total War community. Their mod involved a lot more work than this mod, and it was done in a little bit over a year if I'm not mistaken, they're already working on their second patch. No offense Dash and team, but maybe it's time to plug the sticks out of the backsides and get some fresh blood in? That is, if you'd like to release the mod this decade. At any rate, good luck to you.
  7. True but... I'd win them all (yes. I know this is literally ripping english grammar in two) Just give me a lightsaber, my KOTOR 2 and rock 'n roll. I'll cut 'em all down
  8. This is indeed odd. I have experienced this myself once or twice but it always somehow fixed itself. I could say that you should try to install older drivers or perhaps run it in XP-compatibility mode if that is possible. I know that Vista has issues running older games, specifically Knights of the Old Republic II: the Sith Lords. There's been a lot of workarounds posted here on the boards. I suggest you contact LucasArts support, Obsidian or Steam and ask them what the problem might be The first thing I'd try to do is uninstall my graphical drivers and install perhaps an older or newer version (if such versions exists). Granted I've never ran anything on Vista because of all the bullcrap errors and whatnot you may get from running older games. Some people are trying the new Windows 7, and from what they tell me it is very good and very stable as well. I believe I'll have a look into it as well. At any rate, I hope the drivers will fix your problems, it sounds like it's a graphical problem since you have no problems with the sound.
  9. Heh, at this rate TSL could come out with three additional party members, Hiro, Mikiko and Superfly! Well I'm not one to speak for the team, but maybe some fresh and new blood would put some more life into the project, and take some weight off of Dashus and the others' shoulders?
  10. Don't know if anyone remembers what Kreia said when the exile was outside Tulak Hord's crypt. "We are like children with toys in prowess compared to the old masters" Should say a thing or two on how both the Sith and Jedi alike have fallen behind in lightsaber techniques, not sure if this would apply to post-KOTOR2-jedi and sith, but still. As for Darth Bane, did he not find a holocron of Darth Revan, teaching him secrets long forgotten? Hence, Revan would most likely beat Bane But then again. Revan was hardly a guy who'd go head-on into a combat situation without thinking about it thorougly, the guy was a genious - not a headbutter.
  11. Especially considering how fail those four years with that persident were
  12. Must say I prefer Refuse's picture a lot more than the guy above him. Hell, at least refuse is positive Don't care when it comes out, as long as it does come out. I'll say openly that I played the leaked beta, while of course it was buggy and crashy and whatnot - It still made me even more enthusiastic to play this mod when it's released
  13. Mantis was updated some: http://mantis.team-gizka.org/changelog_page.php The bug count/assignments are not being updated until the betas have a chance to go through 1.0b11, since there were significant changes made to certain sections of the mod that may completely invalidate some of those bug reports. Just because we don't see the progress, doesn't mean it isn't there. The project's dead when they say it's dead I'm perfectly content with waiting, as long as it gets finished. I'll be replaying KOTOR I and II many more times even without TSLRP, and when it comes, I definately will put aside everything else to enjoy the extra content. Amen to that, Gorth.
  14. Allow me to be candid for a moment: I don't give a rat's arse about when this mod or even IF this mod will be released. I haven't lost hope, but take a look around you. The world eceonomy is in something called a disaster/turmoil at the moment. If the Team chooses to care more about their RL or something else for that matter - is their choice. I'm instead awaiting eagerly a Lord of the Rings-conversion mod for Medieval II: Total war which is on 97% meaning they're two weeks away from their first release. When TG's Restoration Project is out, I'll definately play it. Two weeks or no Two weeks. I just wish Dash and the others best of luck on this project.
  15. Meaning? Are you teasing us Milti? I like being teased (just realized this can be interpreted in a seriously ...WRONG way. Well, It's not wrong, I don't mind it but..ahem..I think I'm not helping myself here ) At any rate, would be nice to see a progress report update.
  16. Before we stretch this subject thin, I want to make one thing clear. You can check magazine articles and online articles, and you will not find a single comment by Lucas Arts about The Sith Lord's condition. Your first comment is an opinion. Obsidian mentioned the Lucas Art's change in time, they (Obsidian) fully admit it was their fault in agreeing with it. Your second comment is also an opinion. Since you didn't work on the game itself, you cannot comment on what happened behind close doors. We do not have enough information to support or rebuttle your comment. Also, how do you know if those files were accidently left behind, or if they were intentionally left behind. You can not prove a darn thing. What can Team-Gizka do? Here is a question in return. What should they have done? Four years of a massive online campaign to promote this mod, and they expect people to roll over to the tune of WHEN ITS DONE!. After all these years of people looking forward to this mod, Team-Gizka, knowing people were waiting, took almost a year's hiatus. People strolled into the forums here looking for some transparency, and then they get told to stop whynning? After all these years of people waiting, they now owe us for the continued criticism and support. Its no longer a mod where nothing is on the line. This project rests on their reputation, and if they will deliver on a publicaly made promise. Stop criticism? Tough. Did I say anywhere there that I was stating facts and not opinions? And yes, since this is a project of their own free will that can be aborted at any time - They don't have to expect jack out of the gamer/public opinion and say "Done when it's done" Amen
  17. Um... I'm following the mod with enthusiasm too... but "only" 4 years? You realize the released game was created in half that time right? 1/4th the time. It only took 12 months to create "The Sith Lords". Its taking Team-Gizka four times as long to make a mod, and they are still going for another year. Can we cut the crap now please? 1: LucasArts forced Obsidian's hand by pushing them to rush the game before the x-mas sales. 2: With that happening, Obsidian most likely had to patch the game up as well as they could so that it could be fit for a release. That said - a lot of things naturally had to be cut, but Obsidian did themselves and the modding community a favour by not deleting the lost content but keeping it in the gamefiles on the CD(s)/DVD. 3: What can Team Gizka do? Well let's take an example. You see a house in front of you - it looks like it's not completed but still a house that's barely holding up the roof. You come now as a modder and want to remake the house. You get the blueprints with a few notes on that make little to no sense and you have only your skills and the makes-no-sense-blueprints to aid you in your endeavour. You don't know what will happen if you pull one brick and not the other. Will the house fall apart? Will it cause more trouble and so on? Note now that this modding is your freetime, something you're not getting paid for and yes - some people actually do have to make a living. It's easy to be a smartass saying "4 years is waaaay too much" when you're living at home with your parents I'm not saying that Team Gizka shouldn't speed things up - but quite frankly if people don't like waiting, then don't. Nobody's forcing you to see how they're doing. I salute them for even trying to do something of this magnitude.
  18. Well mate it was King Pyrrhus who said "beat one, and three more will emerge" about the Roman Legions. I guess he could've said the same thing about bugs, hehehe
  19. True mate, but it will be compatible with TSLRP, or at least that's the plan. The Mod still needs a bit of polishing, details like crates, more droids on the planet and things like that would make quite a difference. Ah well, let's hope Mr Dash will be back soon with renewed strength to complete this mod
  20. Nope. They didn't rebuild the Droid Planet along with the Droid Factory... . Actually there is one that does restore the planet at least, and some cut content in form of cutscenes: http://www.m4-78ep.deadlystream.com/ I found it not so long ago and I have tried it out, really good work they've done, saw some a lot of new things. Naturally the mod has quite a bit to go but it really was nice to see some new content. Anyways, back to topic I heard that Dashus has some problems IRL, have you guys heard anything from him? I mean - would be sad if the mod got put on hold for 6 months due to that the leader has some problems, which is absolutely okay by me, I mean real life comes first. Just saying it'd be a shame if the project got put on hold. Besides..what happened to those fine progress reports? Haven't had one in over a year
  21. Not true, it's only been a year since the last 'official' update, us beta testers have given many updates since then. Smartass -.-
