  1. Thanks for the quick reply Dashus, great to see you people soon getting done with TSLRP, can't wait to get my hands on it Truly a shame to see Team Bantha's work go down the drain :/ oh well I guess that's life. Wanted to thank Team Gizka for their splendid work so far and hope they'll keep up the good work Keep up the good work folks! :D
  2. Bah! females! I can't stand playing a female jedi >.> as much as I can stand being a sith *waits for all the eggs thrown at him* Though I am curious as to if there is a possibility for some (maybe not all) members of Team Gizka to take over Team Bantha's work? I mean Team Bantha did do a valiant attempt to restore a nice portion of the game. They've shown that it isn't impossible to restore the content, all they lacked was motivation (and perhaps due to that RL (n.b Real Life) issues kept them from being as active as they wished). It would be nice to see a KotoR II with both TSLRP and the Droid planet in it, would be like a dream come true. And please don't start the rant about how they'd be bored with reinstating the lost content of Kotor 2 into TSLRP. If they were so bored as I've seen posted, by other people but themselves, they would've quit with TSLRP a long time ago. The motivation is there I believe, I wonder if the strength is too? hehe, hope that made some sense Edit: I'm sorry if this question has been asked/answered - I must have missed it in that case :S
  3. Easy. By not training Revan. What could a Revan without a lightsaber/s and force powers do to the Jedi Council, or any Jedi Knight? One on one, perhaps not. But if you had Atris, Vrook, Zez-Kai Ell, Kavar, Dorak, Zhar, Vandar and Vash all against Revan at once, there's no way in hell Revan would win. Yes, Revan is powerful, but VERY OVERHYPED! A master or two? Nihilus wiped out a whole planet of Jedi, including several masters. I will not get into this whole annoying debate again, but to put simply, given Nihilus' void in the force, planet eating, inhuman, no will of his own status, only the Exile, a wound in the force, could beat Nihilus. NO ONE ELSE could. And no, it does not mean that the Exile is more powerful than Revan. Prepare the Republic by attacking them and weakening them? I don't think so. Revan may have started out with 'good intentions', but it is folly to argue that Revan never 'truly' fell. I think you um, missed something? Revan was not powerless when he was captured, unarmed perhaps and unconsious, but probably more than a match for one master. Many of the masters probably feared that Revan would escape their grip, as charismatic as he was, and somehow manage to get back as the Dark Lord of the Sith, with or without their help. Ponder also over what Revan could've been able to do to the Order (as vulnerable as it was). And if we know Revan's charachter, he would've probably refrained from confronting the council at the point of his capture. He probably would've waited for a moment where the masters would relax and slip up enough for him to Return to power in some way. (Don't ask me how lol) Revan's a strateigst, he does nothing when there's nothing to be gained for the higher cause. Maybe a leftover way of thinking from his First Master? I agree that Revan hardly could've stood against all the masters, maybe he'd take a few down with him, but in the end the Jedi would've overwhelmed him - though I doubt the whole council was gathered at the point of his capture. But that we know nothing of. Also saying that Nihilus wiped out an entire planet and all that. Sure I admit that Nihilus was powerful. But do note that Nihilus never engaged any master in hand-to-hand combat and therefor the masters never truly got a chance to prove themselves against him, nor did they expect his arrival.
  4. Well now that I've read all this. Most people here (with the exception of the Architect who has a valid point) seem to be missing a valid point: Query: Why did the Council wipe Revan's Mind? Blatant Answer: Safety. How would you contain the Dark Lord of the Sith? (ooh Now I'm morphing into a HK unit ) I doubt many masters of the order could've stood against Revan. Take Darth Nihilus in comparison to Revan. Nihilus was a maggot compared to Revan in power. Yet Nihilus could probably himself take on a Master or Two of the Order. Though then it's a question if Nihilus and Revan could be truly compared due to that Nihilus was a wound in the force like the Exile and had a different set of power than Revan. oh well In conclusion: I think the only way for the council to contain Revan was to wipe his mind. Revan was no fool, and I doubt neither the high council on Coruscant nor the Enclave at Dantooine could've held him in one grip for a very long time. We should also remember that Revan was pretty charismatic, even in his role as a Dark Lord of the Sith. Though I must also say: Now we have to ponder over Kreia's words: Did Revan truly fall? Or did he do what was necissary to prepare the republic?
  5. :D Amen Sturm lol. I gotta say that Malachor had a nicer theme. It definately gave a nice impression if you played it during a dark stormy night
  6. I must say that this whole topic is a bit  . Considering how much Cut content of The Sith Lords was about Malachor V. I believe they'd (if the cut content's restored by TSLRP) be a close match. But to give my direct opinion about this...Star Forge, definately. Especially if you get those dark side robes from the Star Forge ...a shame that you can't get the Mask though
  7. Amen, watchman Don't you dare releasing it now
  8. Can't access it either *wishes someone/thing could fix it*
  9. Oh I think I said it maybe ain't the place to say it, but I did feel an urge to say it :"> hehe, oh well. Hopefully they'll release another progress report soon. And Darnit, I saw the M4-78 team's homepage was down again
  10. Well, here's my 5 cents: I'd first like to thank Team Gizka and the M4-78 restoration team for their hard work, I'm dying to see your mods guys :D Right now I'm playing KOTOR 2 again with some of Team Gizka's bug fixes found on their homepage It's great to get rewards for some of the huge quests (Telos Fuel-Quest) for instance Okay, here's the deal. I've read through this thread and maybe this ain't the place to say it, but I'm quite sick 'n tired of this fine game to get bugged by people who think that it "sucks" Too many times has this game been compared to the predecessor, Knights of the Old Republic I, it is both wrong and impossible to compare these two games. First of all this game is connected yes, but still *NOT* KOTOR 1, nor does it continue the story after the destruction of the Star Forge. Sure the game's got a lot of bugs < trust me, i've experienced them too many times myself -.- *grmbl grmbl* > Yet I think that after seeing the screenshots from both Team Gizka and the M4-78-team, this game will be fantastic. I've also looked at the progress reports from Team Gizka and they've done a heck of a good job so far, and I agree with Wild Storm here, they'll probably bring up some juicy material in their next progress report...hell...we can hope at least Once again, I'd like to give my outmost thanks to both Team Gizka and the M4-78 team for exisiting, and I'm dying to see your work completed I've got a question though, maybe dumb to some people but still ; How far up in the progress is Team Gizka? I haven't seen a progress report for some time now
