  1. My Hitachi 1TB from 9 years ago recently kicked the bucket, did not make backups, so had to send to data extraction :/
  2. Witcher 3 : IMAX Edition (4K texture mods, film grain, cinema dof, Reshade tone adjustments etc.)
  3. Been playing Overwatch, Witcher 3, and Fallout 4 in VR
  4. Yeah forget Prime95, and forget Furmark. Witcher 3 will stress your system in one shot folks
  5. Also probably the best system benchmark right now. Want to test if your CPU/GPU/RAM clocks are stable? Run around Witcher 3 at maxed gfx for a few hours
  6. I lost my saves also, after forgetting that GOG doesn't cloud save and reformatted. Just start a new Blood and Wine game, finish the DLC, and then start a newgame+ to tackle the main story with an op Geralt
  7. 10 cores, 8 cores, and 6 cores, now I know why the 6700k was $50 off http://www.anandtech.com/show/10337/the-intel-broadwell-e-review-core-i7-6950x-6900k-6850k-and-6800k-tested-up-to-10-cores
  8. Yeah I'm totally skipping this card for sure. Instead I put my 980ti under water, made a modest 250mhz oc, and I'm getting 10-20 fps boosts in everything now. Staying under 55c at load, and no more throttling. All this for like 60 bucks. Stock reference coolers are junk, I didn't know throttling held this card back so much. 1080 FE is worse? No thanks https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ZQ4PFX2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1464549737&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=980+ti+hybrid+kit&dpPl=1&dpID=417hMTSHiyL&ref=plSrch
  9. Yeah this wasn't the pascal I was looking for, the stock FE 1080 has like 10 fps gain over the stock 980ti, which can get similar results by simply overclocking. I may wait for a heavy factory OC'd version, the ti version, or maybe dare go red?
  10. I played HL2 on the oculus; only game where I needed a barf bag
  11. Overwatch is pretty cool, so are we just shooting bots?
  12. Well I put in some Corsair Vengeance lpx 3200 32GB (thanks Newegg sameday), defaulted to stock 2133 until I loaded the xmp oc profile and got 3200. Then my Skylake temps shot up 10 degrees lol, so I lowered the oc a bit. Hopefully the extra ghz on the ram will compensate?
  13. I should reinstall the original, it's been a decade, maybe all the performance issues are gone
  14. So halving the gb for 3400 is better value? They don't yet make 16gb sticks at that speed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231917&cm_re=G.skill_tridents-_-20-231-917-_-Product
