Spring. It's fairly unique romance/horror movie. Fairly light on the horror but doesn't pull punches with some of the visuals. Some unnecessarily drawn out bits in the beginning. I enjoyed it.

Ash vs. Evil Dead season finale. Damn they've stepped things up.

I never said I can't deal with it. I liked the movie well enough. I just don't think this aspect is particularly well done. The originals are old movies. There is a lot of stuff in old beloved movies that wouldn't fly today. For example "Luke I am your father" is never going to get more than an eye-roll if it is done today. It is not unreasonable to ask for the new ones to be smarter.

Sure. But with Joffrey Baratheon the character and the circumstances that put him in that position are superbly well explained. He is the product of his environment which you get to see. Joffrey Baratheon is a kid that is deeply twisted. Kylo comes of like a kid with a tantrum that should have him sneaking out of his room to go drink beer past bedtime. This is what a "rebellious teenager" is. It is telling that this is how he seems to be described all over. Not like a warped and crooked child or an evil little s---- like Joffrey. But like a character from a teen TV show about high school drama.

Stupid and doing stupid maybe not the greatest pitch for a worthy villain?

The Force Awakens isn't exactly rich on ideas. It's the "feel" that the movie gets right.

I am curious about this:

I'm not sure I want Rey's character to be explained with some "oh she has just forgotten". I would rather they just do better in the sequel given that it's the perfect opportunity because the next arc should be about training where all the character strengths and flaws come out. I don't think the character is "terrible" in the context of a movie where everything is done with broad strokes. But it's definitely a noticeable flaw in the writing. I also don't want this to end up like Lost. I hope JJ knows what all the flashbacks and visions mean.

Apparently standing up to SJW pressure is good for business
Fighter replied to free_many's topic in Computer and Console
I am a little tired of people pretending they don't understand how the internet works. The idiots amongst gamergate are prominent because that is who you prefer to pay attention to. All the journo-activists latched onto what helped them write their narrative. And I'm not going to give them the benefit of taking that narrative seriously. -

A hashtag threatened to rape women? As meaningless a statement now as it was then. -
With Broken Age, they have delivered a game people didn't quite expect, but was pretty good nonetheless, so by itself that would not undermine my trust in Double Fine. With Massive Chalice, they delivered a pretty decent game and what was promised, so by itself that would not undermine my trust in Double Fine. With Spacebase DF9 however, they released a game into Early Access where they charged money for the product and then released it in completely unfinished state, abandoned development and did not allow for any refunds and that would sort of undermine my trust in Double Fine unless everything else they did in the past was excellent. Which, as far as I'm concerned, it wasn't. So I wouldn't trust them with my money. I 100% agree with what Keyrock said: I'm cheering for Double Fine and want Psychonauts 2 to be amazing, but I would never trust them with my money. Did they not also get way more money than asked and that lasted them for Broken Age part 1 only and there was a risk they may not even be able to finance part 2? Which brought in all sorts of questions like how come with even way more money they barely managed. Or how much did it cost to hire well known Hollywood actors and was that really necessary.

Tell-Tale Games Announces New Batman Video Game

Are they even doing more The Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us, anyone know? -
I really wish they'd do something like what Shadow of Mordor does with at least part of its main quest. That is not copying the Nemesis System exactly but the idea of giving you room to complete a larger goal in your own way with your own unique path and result. But likely it will be typical Ubisoft busywork schlock.

Door Kickers. Bought it for 3 something euros and it's lasting me hours.

Finished Dreamfall Chapters Book 4. It's probably my favorite.

Door Kickers is much fun! -
Yeah Schafer no longer has the spark and keeps mismanaging projects. No money from me upfront but hey I hope he makes it and it's worthy.

It's good to hear I'm somewhere in the beginning.

Playing Dreamfall Chapters. It's now full of ham-fisted sjw-isms every other conversation... One badguy sleezebag is a racist sexist atheist (or would be: hates the idea of gods and magic) who rants about female incompetency and yearns for a world built for man, preferably "Northern man" (yes he specifies). If you click on him Zoe says (jokingly), "I could kill this reactionary misogynist and no court would convict me, it would be justifiable homicide." It's like they took all of tumblr and shoved it into one character interaction and made it as unsubtle as possible out of fear you wouldn't get it.

Hah. It felt like they made that decision literally before or during the making of that very episode. As just in the previous one you get a choice to kiss or nor kiss Anna.
