  1. What a GREAT E3!!! I was mind blown with: Wolfenstein The New Colussus The Evil Within 2 Life Is Strange Before The Storm Spider-man Metro Exodus Far Cry 5 Starlink Beyond Good & Evil 2 All of them stuck in my mind. That's probably more than what I've walked away with than any other E3 in the past. They didn't really show any rpg's but the tradeoff was legit worth it! :D
  2. Mixtue of non-linear and linear inside an open-world sandbox. The story missions will be linear, with scripted parts... kinda like Tomb Raider and Uncharted games while allowing you to have the freedom of past Spiderman games. Of course this map of New York Ciry is going to dwarf the past Spiderman games and that's saying something because Spiderman 2 the video game has a massive map. Someone made a great comparison that Spiderman is a mixture of Batman Arkham City, Uncharted and Watch Dogs and I think that's spot on. It's going to be a phenomenal game and it's made by Insomniac who's never really made a bad game. Overall about E3... I think Sony and Ubi had the best presentations so far, the fact that Sony stuck to exclusives that will never be on pc is a good thing. They didn't disappoint Ubisoft just surpirsed everyone with how good they can continue to be. They are versatile and know where they want to go. I respect them for that. But did anyone notice that this years E3 was severely lacking the usual emphasis on rpg's that E3 usually possesses... but it's nice to see action/adventure games like Spider-Man and Beyond Good and Evil get some eyes. Microsoft focused on hardware, and Sony focused on software. It's a shame that Microsoft focused on so much that has already been on pc and trying to make them look like something new. I wouldn't even want to talk about the Devolver or PC shows...
  3. Ubisoft is smart, they played their cards right. Well, we got 2 games everyone wanted... Bubsy and Beyond Good and Evil 2. That's better than Half Life 3 lol Now I want more info on Sonic Forces and those beautiful physics it uses for the puzzles.
  4. Well... it should be pretty clear by now that Ubisoft had the best presentation by far. And yeah. Beyond Good and Evil 2... well I've been waiting for that for years lol Alotta great games from Ubisoft. Far Cry 5 looked amazing as well.
  5. Well... the pc show is lucky it was before Ubi's show and not after. Following would probably be a pretty bad idea. Valve is going to start publishing which means that either next year or the year after, the PC shows will be much, much better but at least this pc show has actually interacted with the audience and made use of the stage unlike Microsoft, EA and Bethesda. It's important to not base E3 as a wholly on presentations, but on the floors too because the old E3 shows were just as horrible if not more horrible, to get the full experience one has to go and be on the floor - otherwise you probably won't appreciate E3. The 8-bit strategy game they're currently showing looks weird...
  6. BATTLETECH!!!! I thought people here would like to know that it got a damn good presentation on the E3 stage.
  7. Bethesda wasted everyone's time until they got to The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2, not sure why they'd waste their time with VR when that community is very small and not growing at a particularly fast rate. If I had to choose between them showing Wolfy 2 and TEW2 or a new rpg, I'd definitely go with Wolfy2 and TEW2. So me, personally, I'm happy. PC show starts soon: (15 min?) https://youtu.be/QiCc1wQSrZ4 Not sure what to expect... maybe some indies and a new gpu? Who knows...
  8. B..b...but Sony's conference is today, a bit after Ubisoft's. Today will be my favorite day of E3. Sony wil feature some indies I'm sure.
  9. I'm going to pre-order The Evil Within 2 soon (unless E3 shows something that catches my interest further), I loved the first one. Didn't think it did well enough in sales to warrant a sequel. Still, probably the best horror game I've played. Excited for the sequel! That Metro game looks sooooo good! Guessing that won't be out til the end of next year? "Liesel!!!" Shouted the little girl. That was a pretty darn clever reveal for Wolfenstein 2. Looks like they one will be great as well
  10. Agreed. Life Is Strange 2 looks phenomenonal. Glad it's a prequel about Chloe and Rachel. Chloe as main protagonist <3
  11. I agree with everyone on youtube that the new AC os coser to Dragons Dogma than Assassins Creed but that's a good thing. Looks legit so far
  12. I already gave my reason. I am in a developer chat with developers, I wouldn't be able to do justice for a decent thread, it would be low quality.
  13. It's a shame that there is no official E3 thread here, I'm okay with it because I'm in a chat log with developers, reporters and different groups while I watch the live streams on a secondary screen for the presentations and floor cams. Still, for people who come on to the forum, it would be courtesy to create one whether the majority likes to follow E3 or not. And I realize that Random Gaming News may qualify "Just as good as an E3 thread so why not just come here?" It's really not though, because it's just Random Gaming News which is not organized gaming news. I'd make the thread myself but as I said I have been in a chat room folkowing stuff which is why I haven't been here. Someone please do us a favor and make an E3 dedicated thread.... or don't Anyways, I am excited for the new Wolfenstein, can't wait to see the game play. The art that has been revealed looks great!

  15. The Mummy movie gets Vr, mobile and console games. Yay!!!
  16. While this looks good, I wonder how it will stack up against Ace Combat 7 (PS4 version).
  17. I'm not afraid to point out that Steam has tons of faults and negatives but looks like on this forum, Steam is hated for petty reasons but yes, there are alot of things that annoy me about Steam, just as much as GoG. Also I hate uPlay as an app and drm but Ubisoft is an amazing company. It's hard to take the the Steam critiques too seriously on this forum when it's just constant bashing but like I said it's petty enough not to be bothered by - I just like to write!
  18. Thank God. I never knew that but I guess I'll add that to my list of reasons I'll keep supporting Steam and Uplay til my last dying breath. The more hate they get, the more likely successful they'll be (Paris Hilton Syndrome). As in hindsight, media works as so. As if every game created didn't strike someone's nerve already. But I must confess I'm not an SJW, just like supporting these trypes of things that don't really matter and yet people make it seem like the end of the world. It's only a big deal now because there's a big war between liberals and conservatives. The thing is that these things have always been in games, especially hidden well in games. Now that we have the Internet, there's always a group of people bent on exposing and disecting every inch of a game or movie and even music videos. So everything is found out easier and quicker. In reality, you're right, it's not a huge deal which is why I'll play what people hate as long as I enjoy it. I really smile and continue my support of the games I play and the formats which provide me those experiences. I mean, that's what gaming is really about... fun <3 Oh my... oh dear... Crap... I went far too off topic. Sorry!
  19. I think the fisheye effect can be reduced with FOV slider. I wonder how combat would look and feel, that's the part which makes games like Skyrim and Fallout so horrible in first person. Swinging a sword in a first person bethesda game always concludes to your character side-shifting and the screen tilting. I can't imagine that being the case here, even with the galloping effect. To be honest, I like that there's more wobbling in this first person mode but I can understand if people get motion sickness from it. In Skyrim, there's a bit of wobble but it has a very weird feeling to where it clips off the abimation so it feels like your character is floating and is stopped by an invisible wall. I've learned to like the more natural movement of the wobble with games like Outlast and such. Even better when you can see your characters hands place against the walls while peaking around corners and such.
  20. Far Cry Blood Dragon is pretty great if your a fan of 80's nostalgia film references like Terminator, Escape From New York, Robocop, etc. I am happy you skipped Primal because that's really the only "bad" one, in my opinion.
  21. Meh... The whole situation reminds me of when Tenryo "leaked" info about F K Digitals upcoming games. I'm not too worried about it but perhaps all this will work in their favor since these things help the dev/game get even more publicity anyway. It's important to remember that info on games often get leaked and I'm sure the threats happen more often but we just don't hear about them. The Tenryo/F K Digital situation was much more serious, though they're not an rpg company so I suppose it won't be as relevant on this forum. Still... https://m.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=845633698865305&id=118782954883720
  22. Probably the biggest game news on the net right now: 6 hours ago, Sega unveiled Chemical Plant level from Sonic 2 in Sonic Mania. Needless to say, within 6 hours, people have uploaded thousands upon thousands of videos on their hype because of it. Not just Sonic fans but gamers in general. You can check out why it's such a big deal here... Rehashes are amazing especially when they're this good! Go Sega, go!
  23. That first person is much better than Skyrim, I think.
  24. If you do not mind Steam, ShadySands might still have a Stellaris key!
  25. E3 is the reason I own a PS4... sadly, after E3 is finished I go back to playing my pc and my PS4 sits in my closet. Still, E3 makes me proud to own a statistic of PS4 owners and Sony deserves that much from me as they make it entertaining to watch. Microsoft has had some equally impressive shows, in fact I'll go as far as to say that it goes back and forth between Somy and Microsoft as far as who had the best show. Nintendo, very much like PC has been an afterthought at E3 since Gamecube died. I doubt the they'll have anything truly amazing this year. No Metroid, so on so forth.
