Alpha Protocol on GTTV next Friday
As further evidence of how AP is marketed, the copy-paste blog post du jour that's making the rounds according to Google Alerts is "Alpha Protocol to feature achievement for pimpin' dem hos". The title was probably written by a kotaku blogger or something and the focus on the romances was (I assume) the prerogative of GTTV. Not exactly the sort of promotion I'd think would be effective, but then I'm classier than 99% of people who read gaming blogs.

Nobody cares about AP...
George Bush doesn't care about Alpha Protocol.

AP questions
It goes with the same path you took on the previous node. First node, no idea.

Playstation Version
Team Fortress 2's PS3 port blew in comparison to other platforms, but that was mainly because Valve didn't really support it and the port was handed off to some other, smaller developer.

AP on Qore today
I didn't really like the music, but I'm suspecting it was the BT song, and I really loathe BT. If not, well, I never liked the "club mixes" from Deus Ex either. The more ambient pieces were always superior.

AP on Qore today
I started the download on a friend's PS3 but we ended up leaving and coming back home (hour-long drive) while the download was somewhere around 70%. Either it's a long program or it's in HD. If it's HD, what a pain in the ass.

Hey, there's actual footage in there. Kinda cool looking.

Hey Bok...
At least according to the article, the real concern is that lower-end hardware can't run Cryengine 2 effectively. That's why they're moving forward.

Bioshock 2 in next PC Gamer
As a shooter I'd actually put Bioshock ahead. The dice-rolliness of the combat in FO3 left me wanting.

Release date
To be fair, there doesn't seem to be much consensus on when AP will come out amongst retailers. The most bandied-about date is "Summer 2009", apparently, which would bear out a June-August release window.

Release date
So according to Sega it's both already out and due in a few months? great.

Bioshock 2 in next PC Gamer
Fixed. Bioshock was interesting. Story was pretty good, I never saw the twist coming. Also, finding the voice recordings and figuring out what went down in Rapture was pretty fun too. The story felt like some crazy stuff that got cut from an episode of LOST. The evil plan depended on you randomly having a plane crash straight into the Lighthouse/Rapture. Well if you didn't know, they explain why the plane crashed where it did. Sorry if you knew that but I couldn't tell I didn't catch that. How did Fontaine engineer the plane crash?

Release date
It's not surprising. ****, I'll have my own place by then. Man I don't like that character art. I work in a College of Business, I've seen enough meatheads for 5 lifetimes.

AP questions
The dialogue system looks to be extensive and fairly unique. There won't be completely formed sentences, but nor will there be misleading summaries ala ME (presumably you won't be shooting anybody unless you specifically tell the PC to do just that) There is no dialogue wheel in the ME sense, with the right thumbstick navigating possible choices. Rather the X,Y,A and B buttons (and their PS3 / PC equivalents) will be utilized.

AP factions
Private Military Company? Or Para Military, I don't know. Anyway, it's been said (long time ago, so things may have changed) that the groups you align yourself with will fundamentally alter the way missions play out. In one playthrough you may be able to walk through the front door of a place, in another you may have to sneak in through the back, etc.

Release date
Negative. I mean, it's possible but highly unlikely. No info about a release date and then they drop "COMING OUT IN A WEEK AND THREE DAYS" on GTTV? I'm hoping for late July, but it could also be September. If I recall correctly it wasn't a long time between Dead Space got its "media blitz" and the time it came out (which surprised me)

The Black Hound FAQ
Josh expressed in the past how mind-numbingly slow asset creation was with the team that he had (a team consisting of more than one person) I would suspect that's one of the big things. Plus NWN2's has had the advantage of being tested and patched, to an extent, whereas the old TBH engine never hit retail and thus we can assume didn't get much in the way of testing at all, if it was even fully functional at the time of the project's cancellation. Dude's not ****ing Superman, he can't finish a half-done studio game all by his lonesome.

Alpha Protocol on GTTV next Friday
That Dead Space segment was about a minute long (the trailer part) so I'm betting we'll be getting some nice detailed stuff.

Here, I'ma give you all a basic template for pimping AP elsewhere. Also throw some stuff in there about GTTV and all that jazz.
