I assume that street-fighter is the most funny multi-martial-class in the game now, just take it and watch how enemies die While more street-fighter testing I come with next funny dialog in my head Game designer 1: Ok, let's add passive that give you +15% damage bonus for 2H for all classes Developer 2: Added Game designer 1: Ok, let's add active paladin skill that give you additional 25% to damage, Developer 2: Added .... Game designer 1: Ok, according to calculation there remains +153% Damage bonus that we can distribute between other classes...., but we already give them +15% to 2H damage, +25% to Active skills, ... maybe we can create amulet that give additional 3% damage for all party Developer 2: Added Game designer 1: Hmm, still remain 150% to damage, where we can put them ? ... Now help game designer to put remains 150% a) Give 50% damage to barbarian (non berserker subclass) frenzy b) Spread 100% between ranger abilities (and move some accuracy bonuses to other classes), add bonus to druid feral form c) Increase all 2H weapon damage d) Nerf all recovery items and add this value to +150% damage bonus, and give all this bonuses to single class :D

But +100% To Crit, +50% to Flanked, +50% Recovery time is insane damage bonus, you can't balance such big values with near death mechanics. Or obsidian should buff other damage bonuses, for example +30% to crit from passive, +30% For 2H weapon etc... I can't understand why in game exists barbarian frenzy, that give you -10 deflection and +5 to constitution and strength and GODLIKE PASSIVE for street-fighter which with single flanked debuff give you +50% recover + 50% damage This is only concept, If I made this build, then it will be 100% for solo PotD + DD maybe Hardcore DD

I recorded video with my proof of concept Solo AOE Spell-blade build, it's not ready yet because I wait for next patch and afraid of further nerfs, but it's look very promising, I can't use Abracham for this character, because of that I picked light armor, but of-course this build needed heavy armor https://youtu.be/sqIn_99dOs4 Fun starts from 2:30 The build concept: Street-fighter passives + Crippling Strike + Wizard Pull of Eora + Wizard Spirit Lance + Wizard Citzal's Martial Power If I can hit INT cap (35) , then Wizard Citzal's Martial Power will has duration ~ 82sec, with empower you can cast it 2 time, i.e you can continue battle around 160 sec, To warm up your spell blade guy you need ~20 sec, to do this, we can summon Sirena/Phantom and go to invise, after warm up your deflection will be around 130, 140 constitution, 180 reflex and 150 Will Your accuracy will be around 130 - 140 with skill and 110 - 115 without skill With heavy armor you will hit 18AR, this value will help your survive PotD penetration Painted Plate give you stun relation Abracham + Street fighter + You can use scordeo for further warm up will reduce your recovery time to 1 - 1.2 sec, go to bloodier state and destroy everyone I assume for bosses fight you can take staff that leach health on hit This fight done with Deadly Deadfire mode, if you played only on PotD this will be much easier When enemies miss you, you do AOE riposte and again hit everyone, with MAX int, this will usually all guys near you Each AOE hit produce, 20% raw damage All afflictions applied also on AOE Don't forget that this build support VERY defensive play style with shield + minor blights, maybe that combination even stronger than Pike. Bligts also has +20 hidden bonus to accuracy https://youtu.be/ToKZnOSDRow Checkout bligts damage and get ready for nerfs :D

I will try this build on TSC, but only after patch :D I asked you because maybe you know something that I don't know, and may be you already try to go in melee. My assumption based only on your stats and buffs duration from video Well you probably want to drop priest as neither wizard nor priest offer any decent passives for melee combat. I ended with street-fighter/wizard, but now I wait for patch, because I afraid of possible streetfigther nerf

Thanks, I specially choose this helm, instead of queen hat, because of glorious look :D I didn't write that, but when you playing this build you feels like steampunk knight, shield and pistol, mind powers, teleportation, lasers :D I uploaded Nemnok fight, I tried to aggro all enemies on the map, but I didn't understand where fire bats gone ? https://youtu.be/tyIbBr5jSXU

I think it'd help if you show your stats and equipment. If you asked about cipher. There link to my build (you also can found one in the video description), https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/102168-build-glanfathan-soul-hunter/. I used scepter modal to penetrate monster PotD armor and drug that give me +7 to accuracy (with 4 alchemy) and food that you can stealth from boy (+2 to Perception, +2 Dextery) in house with sleep man My second attempt I done with Arquebuse, but scepter at the end was much effective, because then you can kill skeletons with it. Arquebuse you will needed because of veil piercing and high accuracy If you asked me about spell-blade, I currently wait for patch and then post video, but if you asked about items, I buyed and take all existed legendary items on port maje (club, amulet, helm), take armor with pierce + slash resistance, for other fight I took brigantine with 9 Base Armor, and eat food that give you 15% to damage absorption, I start fight with 10 potions of healing, only one mob can attack me, because of pale elf race, dragon can't do much damage with fire breath, with single hand you will have 60 accuracy and 10 armor with wizard buff

Yep, I understand that, but I think Deltro's Cage will be nerf as other good items, (I assume they will put beta patch on current week), I also understand that with high enough Damage you can do one-hit kills and you can always run away with invise, you starts hosong fight only with 3 guys, and I really like that playstyle, I also have same character as your But now I treat invise as very bugged mechanics for solo play, at first it completely break pure POE II AI, by removing aggro from your party, at second they should remove invise if you stay more than 2 seconds >4m away from any enemy, invise should work only when you near someone, but I'm not sure if in game engine exist something like this. Or may be add something like true vision in nwn This is bad game mechanic (but funny) , now I looking for some challenge and I tried to avoid Invise Aggro managment, Stack Splitting, Alchemy, Arcana, Armor / Deflection stacking ...etc But video with Ukaizo is really good example of this build power
-
I posted this fight at least 3 times, but let's do that again :D If you have cipher in your party you can use my tactic, I tried to not split stack to much, because otherwise I can't kill them all at once, but I din't noticed that first charmed boar didn't follow me https://youtu.be/2_wVsBaN_h8 I nearly kill all of them without stack splitting with spellblade (streetfighter), but all my healing potion ended and I died on boar :D You need to put yourself in position where only 1 enemy can attack you, take blunderbuss and distract yourself then switch to legendary club + stilleto (to overpen their armor), don't forget to kill all small wurms with powder keg, otherwise they will kill you on distance, and hope on good hit rolls
-
Good job, I also think that this fight viable with no poisons for melee, because Ukaizo boss specially designed for melee DW characters :D I'm also found Wizard + Street fighter with same setup more viable, because of additional accuracy, dexterity, int buffs, at the end Wizard has pull of Eora + Spirit Lance (Free AOE + Interrupt stunlock everyone for 30Sec), that automatically win most of the fights without invise (that is my idea about 2H weapon). You also can drop this potion that give you AS and use Scordeo, hit Ukaizo 4 - 5 time give you ~ 40% recovery speed for 30 - 60sec

2h is bad for single target dps that is the problem. On potd I use Lord Darron's Voulge any day on fights against multiple enemies but when going against say Ugaizo Guardian or Fampyrs with more hp switch to dual swords because otherwise I would be doing less dps. Yep, I agree DW for big bosses is required, but I'm has some idea, is https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Chromoprismatic_Quarterstaff still viable ? I want to do solo PotD without alchemy/arcana with 2H weapon :D

Fair points. So, even with Stalker & Resilient Companion and using the Bear (maybe the boar if healing is that big of a deal), the pet just doesn't survive well enough. I've read that pets can't survive much, but I wanted to know if the revive and heal abilities of the Chanter might offset that weakness or make it manageable. Nope, you will end with resurrecting your pet 100% of time, and also take in mind this classes combination is very boring, because it lack of recovery speed and damage boost

If you look some multi-class ranger experience check my build https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/102168-build-glanfathan-soul-hunter I recorded > 10 videos with ghost heart/cipher Check latest post in the topic, I recorded video with arquebuse, in summary don't pick any other class than Ghost Heart, if don't like too much micromanagement :D, pets die very often I don't suggest you to pick chanter, there exist much simpler way to speedup attack speed, pick Berserker + Ghost Heart, you still can summon you companion, you will have very high attack speed, when you kill at least one enemy you will restore immediately, you can stay blooded and has +25% damage, and +2 to penetration, sometime game breaker

Alright. Is Eder good enough as a MT if I make him a Swashbuckler or keep him a pure Fighter, or should I invest in a Chanter/Paladin or Chanter/Fighter tank like I'd considered doing? There seem to be multiple different ways to handle this. I'll probably grab a ranged Cipher hireling as well to fill out my party and keep the boars Charmed and otherwise enfeebled. That'll aid my Marauder's Sneak Attack damage with his bow too. This is definitely seeming more and more doable, if slightly less heroic. You can take pure chanter if you fight in party, then you can summon a DRAGON :D, I like DRAGONS Swashbuckler is OK, but on first island you can't overcome enemy acc without Arcane veil, you can also take druid/fighter, but again it will be viable after level 4 in heavy armor

I found Lord Darryn's Voulge and thought: wow, that would be great with a Barbarian if Carnage triggers static charge. Next playthrough I might roll one. I found the small monk shield and thought: wow, that woul be cool with a monk/streetfighter with Riposte. I found the White Witch Mask and immediately decided to roll a new wizard based on Illusions. Stuff like that. Yep that is cool, this make ARPG games like Grim Dawn, Diablo 2, Median Xl, Path of Exile have so much builds and different ways to beat the game. The funny fact, in latest Grim Dawn patch they fixed same problem with defense as PoE has, they added hard limit to how much enemy can miss, something like 40%, there no point to go over this value

Did you try to convert your build to melee ? :D I got an interesting idea, if you stack enough dexterity (35) and use scordeo (~60%) you can reduce melee recovery speed high enough to use Wahai PÅraga, with that amazing black hole spell you can pull all enemies into single spot, and then destroy them. I'm not sure but may be Substantial Phantom, can attack you and generate electric lash for that Deltro's Voltage helm, if that works you can do very decent electric damage as bonus, there also exist gloves that can spam crack bolt on crit, and storm spell At the middle of battle you can use 1 - 2 Finishing Blow's Triumph of Crusaders, should help you regen health, with such high int, your buffs will be stay around 50s - 100s To boss enemies you can switch to DW, you can start battle with scordeo and Substantial Phantom, then after few hit's go to melee with death door, while you still has escape ability, you can escape regen and continue battle
-
So I doesn't see any fun solo/potd 2H builds (maybe Gut's, but I don't like fighter as second class) I missed barbarians carnage from POE1

I forgot to record this fight I stealth to bridge, at the center of map, and aggro all mobs (except 1 fampyr near crypt entrance), then return/run to map entrance and summon siren, she took all aggro from all mobs, then cast cipher ring leader on separate mobs groups Ghouls and then on all skeleton Archers (all the time I stayed away from fampyrs) after that all mobs start attack fampyrs (all of them have low will). Then you need only hold domination, until all fampyr dies

* You can use stack splitting, rise up stealth to 2 - 3 (respect if you needed), go near first enemy, wait until enemy detect you, go away, enemy will follow you * You can try stack splitting with traps, to do that you need to disarm all traps in start island, find a distance were enemy can detect trap, put it start fight with enemy * Rise up Alchemy and Int with Berath blessing and Magic Belt, you can have +7 - 8 alchemy, just use poisons in hardest fight and run until enemy die * The easier way to do that is pick class with summons (Ghost Heart/Chanter) * You can also pick cipher and spam charm spell ------ If you want to kill all enemies in melee, then you need to stack armor or deflection, you can mix berserker with priest of wael, and get free arcane veil. Or you can take warlock and use spirit shield, in summary enemy should miss or do only 25% of damage Don't forget to buy Legendary Club and use drugs that has chance to interrupt and +acc At the end you can pick monk class that use drugs, monk with their fists +10PL to Drugs is OP for first island (i.e you can achieve ~17 - 18 to alchemy power level and has > 30% chance to interrupt enemy + stun blow)
