  1. It's seems to be done by GOG. According to reviewers the games are just set up in an emulator, rather then natively made work for PC. Which is unfortunate, but that's better then nothing.
  2. Yo! Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid and MGS2 are available on GOG. According to some reviews "port" isn't superb, but as someone who never had chance to play those games I am genuily interested.
  3. Shockingly great sequel. Strongly recommend. Also: Ups! Late spoiler warning. :-)
  4. I think it usually does the complete opposite - making companions feel less like people and more like less convincing Joy. If let’s say complete strangers are kidnapped together and are consumed by parasites dating is probably not in their mind. It is also hilarious how everyone PC recruits is available. PoE1 are some of the more believable, relatable and “immersive” companions I have experience precisely because they feel like they have their own life - our paths just intersect.
  5. Yes, art is something that made it hard for me to get into. Music even more so. But mechanically it's a gold standard of what roguelite should be IMO. Never got bored of spelunky1.
  6. Yeah I quit sometime in 2nd chapter on my first playthrough. Finished full play through as BG3 research some months ago. I love the engine, but not campaign. I do like what I see from BG3 so far. D:OSs just become very barren if you don't have a co-op buddy. It seems like they are putting more effort into NPCs this time around.
  7. It's way too far away from me to be excited about. Nothing something/anything about it would be nice as well.
  8. I actually had a better time with D:OS1 then D:OS2. I actually thought the first chapter was the best in D:OS2. 2nd was by far my least favourite. Just remember to upgrade your inventory after every level up as jump in power between each level is significant. And there are a lot of levels to go through in chapter 2.
  9. Oh, absolutely nothing. SaveAFox was my daily happy pill through 6 months of COVID isolation. Finnegan is the star. Now I know what does the fox say. It’s “he he he he he”. I wanted a fox until I saw this video. Mink is dope though. I always wanted a ferret.
  10. I loved Witchers. Oh, it will sell well I am sure. It will also most likely be good. I just haven't seen anything that would make me want to play it.
  11. Next tuesday can't come soon enough with Spelunky2 coming out on PC. Empire of Sin is something I am keeping my eye on, but I need to see more of it. Baldur's Gate3 can my curiosity, of course, but won't be jumping into Early Access most likely. Mostly because I won't be able to run it. Also I am not sure if I would like it. There is Cyberpunk but 1) I need a new PC 2) I actually am not terribly interested for some reason outside it being a CDPR game. Humankind might be interesting, but need to see more.
  12. I vividly remember playing the mess that was Thief reboot - precisely the disappointing dead space that was the brothel level and watching through a peephole two NPC awkwardly humping. I had a realization that some poor slobs had to make it happen. Overall the update looks solid - lots of promising promises. But looking at those spreadsheet of how different PCs can boink and remembering that it's someones job to do that, and figuring out on how all races can boink each other... I don't want that job. It's not customer service bad, but it's bad.
  13. Assuming Avowed is a Skyrim duplicate - which I never believed it to be. Obsidian gonna be Obsidian. If Avowed Skyrim game in a way Falllout:NV was Fallout3 then I think both will find their own audiences with a healthy overlap. Even so, who knows what Bethesda wants to do - for the last couple titles they have been departing further and further from what I would expect “Bethesda” game to be.
  14. That was... unexpected. I don't know what to think of it. As of: Obsidian vs. Bethesda... I wonder if there will be consequences. Personally, I don't necessarly thing that there is genre overlap - appeal of Fallout3/4 and Fallout:NV are rather different I think... and even so, Ubisoft made a fortune by remaking the same game over and over again anyway. But that's like a big purchase.
  15. Michel Ancel, creator of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil is leaving video games. Did he watched way too much of SaveAFox in the last 6 months as well?
  16. Empire of Sin is coming out on December 1. Available for pre-order now. Not a fan of multiple packages. 35 pounds sounds fair, but I feel exclusive content pressures me to buy at least the middle one. Meantime, I am still not quite clear on how EoS plays. They started a continues playthrough. Part 1 is out, but it doesn't show anything new so far:
  17. I think there was the only playthrough of BG2 I managed to do without Minsc - it was an evil one. And none of BG1. I am a sucker for continuality so BG1 is always with Imoen, Jaheira/Khalid, Mincs/Dynaheir. I never found MInsc annoying, but he is not my highlight of BG2 either. Still, I could never bring myself to leave him in the dungeon, and he is just too earnestly enthusiastic for me to be able to leave him behind. He might be a simple one, but there is beauty and purity in simplicity.
  18. D:OS2 didn't allow romances between coop partners?
  19. Still more dramatic depth then the entirety of Kingmaker.
  20. You assume most players feel that way. While there are always vocal players calling for post-main-campaign expansion, I would be surprised if that was majority of players opinions, considering they have been doing that since New Vegas. Again, there should be “point of no return” save, which should allow you to do all DLCs, then playthrough the endgame and see the impact of this new content on the ending. I for one prefer new in-campaign content, as Obsidian RPGs a ripe for replay - especially one as short as Outer Worlds, though I am not sure if it have enough depth to warrant more then 2 playthroughs unlike PoEs or New Vegas. I get that’s it might not be for you, but I think you will see that many of Obsidian fans value their games for reactivity and replayability. As such DLCs that expand the core journey are valued. Still, I am still somewhat surprised that they don’t allow for playthrough on its own, unless Gorgon content is somehow uses other locations as well (like SSS from PoE2). My advice would be that if you are into “single playthroughs” in the future, just wait until games are as complete as they get. I never buy a game which I don’t intend to replay until it gets GOTY edition, or something like that.
  21. That’s how Obsidian usually does DLCs. I like that, though I will wait for 2nd DLC before doing second playthrough (plus stream release). Is there no “point of no return” save?
  22. Solasta EA out on October 20th. I like those dice animations. Not so much the rest of UI. I find it intrusive, in spite of being minimal.
