Ok, so my computer screen has some sort of blue tint to it right now. This has been happening for about a week now, it'll turn blueish tinted and then go back to normal. I didn't change any settings or snything to make it like this, it's just like this, and it's really bothering me. Is my monitor shot?

I've only ever had one, and I never really considered it a choose your own adventure story until Blank brought up this topic. I don't really know if it's more of a roleplaying book or a choose your own adventure, but it has elements of both. It's star wars, and you could choose between being a Jedi, or two other guys that I don't really know what they were. Anyway, one of the other guys' son was kidnapped, by Bartok assasins with Trade Federation droids or something. You were supposed to save the guys son.

That's where you're wrong. I can tell you that. Sure it might not be true, but hell if I'm going to let you take away my right to say things like that! -

That would have to be B though, because in order for young Jink here to pull toilets off the wall, you first must go find the Dungaro Bracelet of Strength. -
The Legend of Lylox: The Sword of Infinite

As you throw the land deed down on the table, you think of how easy this was. Almost a little too easy, wouldn't you say? You then look around the room and notice the array of shady characters and hookers. You realize that there are quite a few big guys standing around. The kind of guy that when he was a kid, he would steel your lunch money. You know the one, just walking to the lunch room, and all of a sudden some punks grab you a throw you into the bathroom, other students and teachers ignoring your cries for help, pretending everything is ok, when in reality, IT'S NOT! No, everything has gone horrible wrong and soon you find yourself being held upside down, even though those bullies know that won't get any money out of your pocket. So your just hanging upsidedown, screaming and jerking your body in a spasm of pneumatic jirations reminiscent of something pneumatic that jirates. Hell, you don't even know how to spell jirate, if that's even a word. "Kid. Hey, kid! Are you alright?!" You come to and realize that you are on the ground, your chair, knocked over. "What happened?" You you question, as you begin to stand up. "Well, after you lost, you started freaking out and having a seizure or something, like some sort of siezure having pneumatic jirating machine." "Wait, what?" "Yeah, you know, something pneumatic, that jirates." "No, I mean, 'What do you mean I lost?!'" "Oh, yeah, you lost. You had 21, and I had two aces, so that makes two." "Wait, what? I had 21, that means I should have won!" "Well, maybe in bizzaro world or something, but here in our world, the REAL WORLD, that's not the case. Maybe you shouldn't play games if you don't know how to play them." "Wait, what? Isn't the object of this game to get as close to 21 without going over?" "What?! Were have you been kid? In Hiloxian standard house rules, to win at black jack, the player needs to get as far away from 21 without going over. I even asked you before we started if you needed to hear the rules." "Then what's the point of giving another card and the secound round of betting?!" "You know, theatrics." "This is ri-dics! I want my money and land deed back." "No-can-do kid. All bets are final. Now if you're finished, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Your little stunt has scarred off our customers." You stand there for a moment, trying to wrap your mind around the completely unpredictable events that have just unfolded before your eyes. You know that Ms. Ramone'll kill you if she finds out you've gambled away the ranch, AND not gotten the groceires. The time for action is NOW! Or, you could just walk away, and play it safe. After all, there are a lot of big guys in here... (A) You didn't bring your bow for nothin'! These guys need direction, and you and your trusty bows can shoot a few arrows to point them in the right direction, if you catch my meaning! (B) You think it's best to leave and formulate a plan when you get outside, away from all these, big guys. -

John Zorn's - Locus Solus yeeeeah thats not jazz. "it dont mean a thing, if it aint got that swing" this stuff should be placed closer to thrash. lol

Personally, I'm not really that impressed, because it just looks like cutscene footage, and not actual gameplay. I mean, couldn't they already have cutscenes that nice with the previous generation?
-
Wals, this is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Thanks to you and Blank for making it possible.
-
Yeah, I still think it'd be a great idea.

"Hit" you say with confidence, but at the same time, a hint of uneasiness. The dealer looks at you. His eyes peirce through you like two Dungaro spears through a floknox in spring time. Aroung 6 A.M. when the dew is just fresh on the glortax leaves, about the time the floknox is waking up, that way, the Dungaro can catch them off gaurd for max kills. You realize he has put your card down on the table. It's a five, that brings your total to 21. The dealer stays. "Alright sir, are you going to increase your bet, or stand at the current bet of 30 rupits?" Hmm, you don't have any more money on you, but that deed to the Ramone ranch that you stole should fetch a few rupits. (A) Increase your bet and bet the deed. (B) Do not increase the bet. -

"Alright, easy there big guy. " The dealer says with a smugness so smug, that you wouldn't be able to even begin to comprehnd the level of smugness it was. The dealer was a man of about 40, slightly overweight, but not enough for you to be able to call him fat and get away with it. He was dressed in black pants and a white shirt with a red vest, and a name tag that read "meta." His accent seemed english. and his breath stunk something feirce, probably from all that mold cheese and furry sausage english people eat. "Hit or stay, sir?" "Huh?" "Hit or stay?" You realize that the cards have been dealt. You look down at your cards. You've got a six and a queen. You look at his cards and see an ace showing. (A) Hit (B) Stay -

You walk into the casino, with no problem. After all, there is no age limit on gambling in Hilox. You head on over to the black jack dealer and throw down your thirty rupits. "Welcome to Black Jack sir, I trust you know how to play by Hiloxian house rules, or do you need me to tell you how to play black jack?" (A) "Get out of my grill homeslice, just deal the cards before I get salty on you." (B) "Yes, I need you to tell me how to play." -
Yeah, plus that isn't like, gameplay footage.

If you don't consider saving the game world and saving the entire world as the same thing, then there are plenty of games out there I'm sure that are just like that then.
-
Focus. Personally, I know I'd be interested in a detailed murder mystery using an RPG system. Social skills for evidence gathering would be interesting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Alright, that would work, but as I've said, the apeal is in the setting. So you'd be saving the group of cities from barbarians. You'd be saving the game world from barbarians. I'm not sure if you meant that one was supposed to be the main focus of a game. It sounds an awful lot like a quest, and not really enough to be a main focus of a game. I can see how this would work as a main focus of a game with out feeling like the one who is "saving the world"
-
Would those be the focus of the game, or just examples of part of the game?
-
For example...?
-
If you don't want to give me an example because you don't know, that's fine, but don't use the excuse that I'm baiting you. Unless everytime someone tries to discuss something with you, it's just baiting.
-
I'm not baiting you. I really am curious about what you are talking about. I mean, I could be wrong, what you are thinking of could be a fantastic, fun, and revolutionary game.
-
No, I don't know what you are getting at, so describe it for me. What is it exactly that you are talking about?
