  1. No, it has a focused story line around the PC, just not one that revolves saving the world or the character being the chosen one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So then what we have, in essence, is the set up of an MMORPG, without the other people. I'll agree that you could call the players life in the game a "storyline" but it wouldn't be a flowing storyline. It would just be your character doing quests and oddjobs, and then like saying, "This is the story of Harvey, and ordinary man in an ordinary village. He did oddjobs and quests." And I think a game like that would rely very heavily on the setting, like MMORPG's do.
  2. I remember the days of Supermarket Hi-jynx, back when people actually picked the good choices.
  3. You are the young boy ranch hand at Ramone Ranch. The Ramone's give you living space and food in exchange for milking cows and collecting chicken eggs, and other farmy ranchy stuff. You're parents were killed not too long after you were born. Their death was a mystery, one that you vowed to solve, at least until something better comes along. "Jink! Hey, Jink wake up!" You open your eyes. Golden sunlight shines through the small crack in the barn ceilling. you sleep in the top loft og the cow barn on some hay. "Hey, Jink, get dressed and get down here, ASAP!" It's Ms. Ramone. Some chickens probably got loose or something. Oh well, another day of hard work on the ranch. You hop out of your twig hay bed thing, and crawl over to your twig hay dresser thing. You put on your green clothing, and green hood hat thing, and get on your way. "Oh, goodmorning Jink, nice of you to join us." Ms. Ramone was a woman of her early 30s, thin, and womanly shaped. She had curves in all the right places, and a voice as sweet as honey. She was kind and caring, fun and energetic but most of all, attractive. "Shut up you old hag." you say to her. "Listen you little jerk, just take these 30 rupits, go into town, and buy me all the things on this shopping list, that is, if you ever want to eat again. And you better not spend any of the change on drugs or hookers, or else I'll ring your neck!" You take the money and head out. You decide to grab your bow, just in case. It isn't far to Hilox City, and you don't run into any problems. The gaurds recognize you and lower the draw bridge. "Out running errands for Jenny huh?" Says one of the gaurds. "I know I'd run a few errands for her if I got the chance, if you know what I mean! And I don't mean running errands!" says the other gaurd. You ignore them and continue into the city. You spot the store, but then something catches your eye. Right next door to the store, is the new Casino/Brothel/Drug house. And then you devised a brilliant plan. "Hah! All I have to do is gamble, triple my money, and I'll easily have enough for the things on this list AND drugs and hookers, and that old hag won't know the difference!" After careful thought, you decide it's best to: (A) Go into the store and get the things on the list (B) Go into the casino to strike it rich. Rich in hookers and drugs.
  4. If you are inferring that they are all young, blond males in green clothing, then I can not confirm or deny those accusations. Except I confirm them.
  5. He is a young blond boy, he can't just start out as a sorcerer or warlock.
  6. Isn't that like the structure of an MMORPG? And still, a game with no included storyline would need to have something else that apeals to the person to get them to want to play. The game would probably heavily rely on the setting then, and that might be tough to do, getting a setting that would attract enough people to buy a game with no storyline. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's not saying anything about having no included storyline. Just that the storyline doesn't have to do what many other games like doing (note: I'm not saying all) and that is forcing an epic story in a short timespan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's true, he isn't saying a game with no storyline, what he says doesn't allow a lot of room for much of a storyline. I'm going to stand by my statement. I'm going off when he says " Just everyday people staving off cruelty, evil, and whatnot that happens to come across their everyday lives." that doesn't make for much of a story. It really is more a setting thing than a story.
  7. I never used the term "magic user"

  14. Look that was just one isolated inccident! The Great Glendinni cannot be held responsible for squimish assistants that can't take a saw through the abdomen.
  15. TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE!!!! The land of Hilox was a peaceful one. It's vast and diverse, with mountains, rivers, lakes, rolling hills, and Hilox City in the mmiddle of it all. Hilox City is home to the Hilox Castle, and the Royal Family of Hilox. In recent years though, the land of Hilox has fallen on to darker times. A dark cloud looms over Hilox, a metaphoric cloud, one that has many of the peoples of Hilox uneasy. Evil creatures have begun to roam the land. Yes, there is something dark on the horizon, somehting, menacing. The people need a hero, and that hero is you. But before you start on your adventure, you'll need to choose what hero you wish to be. (A) You are the young boy aprentice to the famous mage "The Great Glendinni" you live with him in his magic shop in the city of Hilox. You learn from him and act as his assistant during birthday parties. Your knowledge of magic may just come in handy. (B) You are the young boy ranch hand at the Ramones Ranch just outside of Hilox City. You spend your days riding and roping, but mostly milking cows. On your off time you practice archery, and have become quite a good shot. © You are a young boy orphan living with the Dungaros of Dungaro mountain. You were found by the Dungaros as a baby, and raised by them in their mountain/cave village of Dungaro Village. You work at the Dungaro rock shop were they sell Dungaro rocks to unsuspecting tourists. With all of that rock lifting, you've gotten pretty strong, and can swing a Dungaro battle hammer like nobody's business.
  16. lol, everyone knows the internet wasn't invented until 2028, and my patent has been pending since 1936.
  17. Everyone knows you aren't supposed to swing it fast or anyhting, or else it won't register with the game. God, do you know anything? Maybe you should do a little research before spouting off nonsense and phallacies. Game over man. Game over.
  18. Just novelty? JUST NOVELTY?! Five years of research and innovation, and you have the nerve, yes, THE NERVE to call it just novelty? You sir, are a booger head. Good day sir. Good day.
