  1. If I ever play a PnP DnD game this is what I am going to do now. Heheheh.
  2. The honest upright citizen in me thinks this is terrible. The hooligan in me who's always out to make a quick buck can't help but saying to himself "Man, that's awesome!" They can have my files. Seriously. Anyone who doesn't keep backups of their important things is at fault anyway.
  3. It is true, and that's how they 'invented' it. Until then the equipment had been too bulky to put in something as small as a joypad. Reinvented it is more proper I guess. Meh.
  4. A first person shooter? Man, I was about ready to buy a 360 until I read that part. Weak.
  5. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've done this. It was actually a pretty damn good nude model.
  6. Heheh, kumquatq3 said wee wee.
  7. But I can point out London, Berlin, and St. Petersburg.
  8. Why hasn't Max Payne 2 been re-rated to AO yet? There was a nude Mona model in it where all you had to do was enter a console command. No modding or nothin'.
  9. EB Games. Welcome to Lovecraft's universe <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly!
  10. Also I'm not sure what the problems with the gameplay mentioned are. The game is too hard I guess? I've been running around for six and a half hours now and I still don't have a weapon. The enemies are freaking infuriating. Pretty damn intelligent, all chasing me down, all calling for backup, all breaking down doors I've barricaded! I feel very, very frail.
  11. Also it's only $30. Get it now you jerks.
  12. I just got this today against my better judgement. The lure of an official H.P. Lovecraft game was just too powerful. I have it for PC, since I have no Xbox. I've got to say this is one of the most polished games I've ever played. Yes, it is a more or less straight port, the controls and the files show this (controls are pretty optimized for an Xbox controller but work just fine with the smallest amount of tweaking) there are higher resolutions, up to 1600x1200. I haven't really tried any of them though because my computer sucks at the moment. It's a beautiful game though. Easily the scariest thing I've ever played, and I've played a lot. Some of the parts actually made me nauseous, and these weren't the gameplay parts, but the journal entries and written tidbits. When playing it though, there's just a general sense of unease and dread. I'm not sure exactly how they pulled it off, but the developers totally nailed the whole universe. The entire game has a very organic feel, even if some of the graphics aren't the greatest, but they're good mind you, prettier than most the stuff I'd played recently. Man, I'm just kind of rambling. The point is, it's a very good game, and you're seriously missing out if you don't get it. No bugs so far, at all. Troika could learn a lot from whoever finished this.
  13. 21 marriages... She must be madly experienced to lure that many men. Admit it, you can just hear her voice asking: "With or without teeth?" " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh baby!
  14. I'd hit it. Over and over again.
  15. I think one of the funniest things I've ever read was the transcript of Eldar's Campaign when they were deciding what to do about the vine, and Baley's bard says "WELL WE DON'T HAVE TO KILL HIM WHAT'D HE DO TO US?!!" Then the others attack the vine and almost get their asses handed to them. I like games where I can be subterfugey better. I think I did an okay job of that in Ender's Vamp campaign, which is my only real experience with PnP, but then again I did attack that one dude after my bag of sneaky tricks ran out... (He wanted me to drink an unknown substance that could've done my disgused by Obfuscate character harm, not knowing what it was I decided to attack while he still thought I was his friend, but it turned out that even though he looked pretty mild mannered he was an Elder.
  16. THREE MOTHERF**KIN' X'S!!!
  17. Everything else is behind the CPU tech anyway, it'd be stupid to buy fancy shiny top of the line processors. I dunno, if I do buy dual videocards it'll be after newer stuff comes out, I'm strictly in the planning stage/catching up on the tech specs I've been neglecting right now.
  18. Maybe it runs crossfire even better? Anyhow, at wholesale prices I could probably afford two of those by the time they go down in price. Hmm... A lot of this will depend on whether Calax can scramble the money to make it with Comic Con with me. If he doesn't I'll have an extra $300 or so dollars lying around.
  19. Guys, I know this is late, but I saw The Goonies at a midnight showing last Saturday. Then I went to a party. Alcohol, weed, and shrooms may or may not have been involved. I didn't get back until the morning.* *Because I was making money of the suckers who got drunk and couldn't drive.
  20. This is a gift and a curse. Trust me on this one.
  21. Doesn't matter to me, I have free insurance. <happy dance>
  22. Not scared, eating it up!
  23. Now you can't accurately assess that. You being over it != most people being over it. I doubt most people even know of the new name yet. Ipod manages to sound like a fancy gadget, Wii sounds like a touchy feely high school art project. I'm not sure they actually invented the two-button controller and directional pad, nor the analogue stick as a device for playing games, but popularized it for home consoles for sure. Anyway, I see your point, but I still stand by what I said. The importance of quality and inventiveness in games still overrides gimmicky new ways to interface with them IMO. I'm still waiting for someone to get rid of the traditional right analogue stick for modern controllers and put a a touch pad similar to what you find on laptops on there. It would bring the precision a little closer to what you get with a traditional mouse. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh ye gods no. Touchpads suck, no tactile feedback, a nubbin would be better, or better still a trackball. Nintendo first invented the D-pad on the Game and Watch series game watches. They implemented it on the NES after noticing what a pain the old controllers were on your hands, and wanting to have the functionality of a joystick without the wrist cramps and lack of other controls. They did in fact invent the analog stick, and leading up to the N64's launch it was such a secret that people playing with it were required to use the controller while it was inside a cardboard box!
