  1. Resolution from Endless Paths 4 and after u reach act 3 , Purgatory in other hand , Resolution + Purgatory both Durganized = better than soulbound Sabres in general are best weapons for rogue , because of its high base damage which then scales best with rogues bonus damage multipliers . Also u should aim for ~ 0% recovery This is imo best for a melee rogue that is built around sneak attacks and deathblows , if you build around backstab and invis soulbound weapons will do . Also interesting mention for mid game maybe some1 will find this useful : As soon as u get to defiance bay , Do quest for White March Steel Dagger ( + Speed ) , and Buy Rapier with + Speed from codex shop in ondras gift , you will need Dual Wield Specialization and Outlanders Frenzy Talents 1.25 x 1.2 x 1.2 + 0.2 = 2 = 0 Recovery , even if u use Padded / Leather / Hide and Even Scale armors ur attacks will be very close to having 0 recovery , add Cape of the Cheat from strongholds quest for Escape one per encounter without spending talent points in it , when combat starts let ur tanks grab aggro , Use Outlanders Frenzy , Use Escape to teleport to enemy back line - kill them all , meanwhile my MC rogue was lagging behind in act1 he is real monster in act 2 killing stuff left and right
  2. Is there any way ? Accidently made weapon 13/14 only with fine :/
  3. I agree , if you really want useless character u must make melee who is squishy as fck , then try to flank someone and eat 25 most random disengagement attacks ( even if those enemies are attacking ur tank lol ) Barbarian with Maxed Con and Resolve would probably make quite decent tank
  4. Island Aumaua Quick Switch Cipher = Blunderboss :D Every single party i ever made has that Island Aumaua Quick Switcher who uses blunderbuss be it Cipher , Ranger , Paladin Rogue , or even Priest of Magran swapping them arquebuss'es
  5. On 3.02 Ciphers are amazing imo , Whispers of Treason is now main spell for early game , Quickswitching Pistols can get you up to 50-60 focus at early levels , which then is enough to keep at least 2 targets charmed for the duration of the fight , in act 1 u can get up to 3 pistols , but one of them is in Raedrics Hold so i just use 2 Pistols and Arquebuss , cast one whispers of treason at the start of battle , followed by 3 gunshots and u once again have 40-50 focus to spam whispers of treason . I Enchant my pistols with Accurate 1 early , and keep them until i can get my hands on Unique / Exceptional Blunderbusses , also Accuracy bonus VS creature type from Survival is amazing for early game , i only pick Crowd Control and Debuff powers early game because i find those most useful I failed dialogue with Ogre in Dyrford Cave with my lvl 5 mostly melee party on PoTD ( i havent been in defiance bay yet so my gear is all act 1 ) , i was sure i will have to reload , but then i sent my fighter(4 Engagement Slots ) in front while cipher charmed one bear , followed by 3 gunshots into other bears who are decent targets for focus building with Pistol , and i noticed that i have 50 focus , all i did for the rest of the fight with cipher was chain Charm bears meanwhile my party is dealing with the ogre , and surprisingly i finished the fight with only 2 knockdowns one of them being hunters pet , ogre killed all the bears himself and died right after. Basically any fight where enemies outnumber u greatly can be "cheesed" with whispers of treason spam ( i say cheesed because , damn this spell is so strong now , really very strong ) My favorite targets to charm by far are priests , starting from Xaurips u can usually charm a priest before he finished casting first spell , and then he will buff your party like a boss , same goes to any Kith groups , charm a priest and u won
  6. Race discussion has another thread , it would be much better if this one stayed about Rogues and Barbarians because this is actually important meanwhile Race balance is least of our troubles imo also best fix for godlike races would be to : make some of the headwear available for them - hoods and hats basically , looking that best headwear is helmets this would be somewhat balanced and satisfy the community
  7. Maybe i will try Dragon Chanter Tank , Melee DPS Wizard ( wizard/rogue anyone ) and damaging heal bot paladin on my next playtrough :D
  8. I would go Chanter for tanking and summons , wizard because they have all kinds of spells for every situation and can switch between tanking and blasting any time , and some kind of healer
  9. The potential of full Backstab build would come only late game but , going invisible 6-7 times per encounter with SA+DB+BS sounds like fun , i will probably retrain my rogue when i have all the items to see how it does
  10. Dyrford Cave, Hidden Stash near Ogre On day 12 i got Necklace of Fireballs not stalking boots
  11. I kinda find Defend Self , necessary for trash fights where u just want to auto attack enemies to death , without it my characters would go idle after killing one ( maybe it has to do something with my other options ) , other than that i would never use AI for fights .
  12. On my Current Playtrough , during Act 1 Bleak Walker Paladin with Dual Wield is MVP , i was thinking to start this character with 1h+shield , but that is not needed , i dont even have Lay on Hands because Athletics replaces it just fine , currently level 4 : FoD,Remember Rakhan Field , Zealous Aura , Intense Flames . Using Eders Armor Enchanted to Fine , i started with dual sabres but replaced them with Fine Sword and Flail from Eothas temple until i get to Defiance Bay , i take Survivals bonus to Damage Reduction whenever i can , also my Athletics skill can heal more endurance than i have , second chance helped me on the sole Knock Down i had on this Character and that was while it tanked 2 Skuldur Kings . Anyway , im sure that my Rogue could dish out more damage on a squishy enemy , but no rogue can tank so much damage while Dual Wielding , and early in the game rogue ends up shooting from the back no matter what talents u took on him due to Bottle Neck being the superior tactic in Act 1 . Also i feel like early game was nerfed too much its easier now overall due to Athletics , Survival and Decreased enemy numbers
  13. I just did that place recently , and i can confirm i got Boots of Stability there on the said day . also been using this list trough whole act 1 , by now 3 Torc of Falcon Eyes , 1 Stalkers Torc , Gauntlets of Accuracy , and a Healing Belt , still have 3 continers left in raedrics Hold . Amazing work for cataloging everything
  14. Nobody i asking for new abilities , what we need is current abilities tuned up and this is not too much to ask imo , now those abilities suck and they suck the same on PoTD and on Easy . Lets hope for 3.03 Patch
  15. Why would u want to go back to easier difficulty when you are replaying the game , its not the patches that made hard and normal easier to play, but the fact that you already played trough it before , your whole argument is invalid , rogues and barbarians need some healthy tuning to get on the level of other classes .
  16. What rogue needs is buffing its UP abilities : Riposte - Needs buff from 20% to some much higher percentage Shadowing Beyond - Per encounter Deep Wounds - Stacking like Boeroer mentioned Escape , Coordinated Positioning , Adept Evasion Feign Death etc needs some tuning , these escape abilities arent worth it All Strike Skills should be made into 2 Per Encounter , except the one that gives 2 afflictions it should be one per encounter
  17. Encountered this annoying bug when i press C to open character sheet , and try to scroll down to look up something and it keeps permanently scrolling up . Thought its my mouse acting out at first but then i tried without it and its still the same
  18. Is stealth even worth it on Rogue the sole class that should benefit from it ? If you cant backstab reliably with 12 stealth...
  19. i hope for last 3.03 ( nice number ) patch that addresses few remaining balance issues and last bugs , and i dont mean anything like cipher rework recently just some minor changes here and there , one can only hope
  20. your post seems very accurate and reflects on overall difficulty of PoE PotD. I am planing to start new playtrough with 3.02 , havent played since before WM 1 . I was wondering what is the best way to explore Main game Acts and Expansions so i keep the difficulty as high as possible ( im even thinking to turn on high level scaling on all places from the start of the game as this does not need cheats to be on and u can still get achievements after ) . Only concern i have is that Act2 cant be scaled so i kinda have to do it right after act 1 or it will become too easy , and by the time majority of act 2 is done characters become very powerful Also im wondering if Obsidian did any changes to act 1 , the true hard part of this game ( not that i mind tho ) , i remember it being kinda linear , and very limited
  21. I have a question about fighting spirit , Does its 1.1 damage stack with everything ? And was it changed to work instantly after going below 50% or u still need to wait 5 seconds ? Anyway , i think different races suit different characters , Wood Elf is always good for a ranged be it casters or physical , If u going for Quick Switch then Island Aumaua is the key , Coastal Aumaua for main tanks , those cant go prone or your party will suffer , Hearth Orlan for melee rogues and the like , Moon Godlike has its own special place in many builds because of how powerfull the racial is , imo the only worth godlike race to pick considering u cant use head slot item
  22. Any guesses when 3.02 not beta is going live ?
