  1. lol it was just a misunderstanding all along
  2. "Some traits are jobs, like the farmer, and others are prominent personality traits, like trouble maker. " Question to Obs devs: is arsonist one of the choices? Nice interview. "you kick the beggar and steal his beggar bowl
  3. Then the dragons shouldn't be fights in the first place. If the player decides to attack, sucks to be him/her.
  4. Imagine that. Sewer slime monsters are attacking the city! Save us from the pollution brigade, Captain Planet! >Okay, because I'm Captain Planet. >Okay, but it'll cost you because I'm evil. >Actually, I'll kill you all and promote pollution, my title is a misnomer LOL Brilliant.
  5. "Please, Captain Planet, the factories are killing the resources around here. Do something!" >Okay, because I'm Captain Planet. >Okay, but it'll cost you because I'm evil. >Actually, I'll kill you all and promote pollution, my title is a misnomer LOL
  6. Thinking about it from a roleplaying perspective, imagine the possibilities! Do I keep polluting the planet until I doom future generations or do I impose self-centered ethical beliefs on other people that polluting is bad? LOL it's a dilemma! I'm heart.
  7. Wouldn't *anything* be an improvement?
  8. It'd be Captain Planet because Captain Planet is AWESOME. Why else?
  9. I think a Captain Planet RPG would be a really nice game with a very cool concept. Imagine the roleplaying possibilities. Will you align with the faction of pollution, or fight for the planet? LOL this makes me giddy. I'm heart. What do you guys think? It would be cool if this was PNJ haha.
  10. Maybe not FR per say, but they didn't like the setting. Go go WOTC!
  11. I've read the preview. I can understand the dude's enthusiasm, but I'm not impressed. Of particular note is "In one Dark Brotherhood quest, for example, I infiltrated a dinner party and used various means to isolate and eliminate guests one at a time. The remaining guests dynamically reacted to the assassinations - accusing each other or equipping themselves for battle." "I found the populace gathered at their local church. Angered by the frosty reception, I tossed their holy book aside and gave the priest a knuckle sandwich. As expected, most of the citizens rallied to defend their preacher, but I was surprised to see one unarmed citizen bolt out the door. Once I had worn out my welcome, I casually left the church (...). The cultists didn't abandon the chase, and more amazingly, the "coward" who fled the church returned brandishing a sword retrieved from his house." Strictly speaking in terms of AI, that does sound neat, but AI is not a substitute for actual writing. I can imagine how fans of Morrowind would be enthusiastic, though.
  12. Magical Volo for global admin!!!
  13. Of course he got paid. Dragonlance Adventures team were employed to make some art stuff for Pirates of the Sword Coast. Stefan Gagne was originally hired to do a DD mod for Bio as well, but Wizards of the Coast didn't allow it because the mod wasn't 'Forgotten Realms' or whatever crap. Go go WOTC! On the bright side, he released it for free instead http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=modules.Detail&id=4078
  14. http://www.civfanatics.com/civ4/info/civics/ The new civics system means you have much more flexibility compared to government systems from previous games. Religion and culture also play big parts into making your cities well-known.
  15. Oh. Well, basically, it'll help you keep track of the other Civ4 players on this board. If so and so, and so and so are online, you could start a sporadic session, for example. I've done that a couple of time. So, Civ4 sessions with specific people. Then save, and resume when everyone is back online next time. Check http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=39240
  16. Depends what you mean by "culture".
  17. The Lone Wolf dude didn't get hired by Bio. He did however make the Shadowguard digital distribution module. It's never been a secret that Bio pays attention to good NWN modmakers. Stefan Gagne was offered a job, IIRC. Heck, even in the standard application process, you're told to write a NWN mod (as the preferred method). Not to mention there's a NWN writing contest right now, with the 10 winners having a chance to get considered by Bioware. Due ~ 2 wks. 3500 words, 3 NPCs, 4x4 area. Sidequest.
  18. That's because your paladin wanted to charge up her loading ramp.
  19. Come on, dawgs, Magical Volo isn't a rambling madman, of course he makes sense! Obs specifically said NWN2 won't have sewers. "But you can emulate sewers" "But other tilesets can look like sewers" "I can roleplay sewers if I wanted sewers" "But sewers aren't integral to DnD" are all petty excuses to justify why SEWERS ARE NOT IN THE GAME - which, btw, they aren't. Game over, dawgs, game over. R00FLES!
  20. http://www.gamebanshee.com/interviews/nwn2protagonist1.php "you get to select a background for your character. Backgrounds represent what you were doing before the adventure, and they have an effect on how you
  21. I like sewers because that's where I dragged bodies after I murdered them and.... nm
  22. Then join the Xfire network!
  23. It's be nice to have an 18-player session based off these boards. Then real diplomacy would be in effect. Players plotting things, PMing each other, making deals. No permanent alliances. Unfortunately, the logistics of such a game would be insane. PBEM = 1 turn/day would be really slow. Then comes the issue of one player not emailing the file to the next. One culprit means endless delays. For direct IP games, I guess it could happen. We could schedule it, so only people who could follow that schedule consistently would sign up (eg. a few hours each weekend).
  24. I earned my levels in KOTOR2, Hades! I EARNED THEM!
