  1. Yup. Too bad they went broke and we will never see a Majesty2 Why do they always punish the great original games, and gets Sequel 10+ (EA anyone?) major sales? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By "they" I imagine you mean the consumers that buy said games?
  2. Thanks to the dude that posted the MoM link. Been having a blast so far :D
  3. Lucas is none too happy with himself afterwards.
  4. Jussi's save was the #1 save of the week on TSN.
  5. The reason why Drizzt is interesting is because he's a Drow that defies the stereotype. It doesn't just make him a "funny shaped human" though. There's some truth to what Volourn said. People are fascinated with characters that go against the norm. I can't think of too many memorable characters that perfectly fit into the stereotype ascribed to them.
  6. Same with Having said that, I can still get into the RP of the moment. My transition from LS to DS in KOTOR was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in an RPG. By the end I had no problems signing off on the death warrants of party members. The same party members that I fought tooth and nail to defend and protect earlier in the game. It worked out so perfectly from a gameplay perspective that I couldn't have imagined it being any better!
  7. There's something I like about a game that can actually illicit an emotional response as powerful as guilt. I had such an incident happen in Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy.
  8. More likely been desensitised at least to computer violence. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Please oh please tell me that that is a joke.
  9. Just as a preemptive strike, I am going to comment that my lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming consoles is not because I'm a console "hater." They just don't have anything that interests me. I have been disinterested in the XBOX, and I suspect I'll be disinterested in the PS3 and the Revolution as well. Having said that, I absolutely cannot resist a fanboy, which is usually why you'll see me jump in. Carry on
  10. OMG Master of Magic!!!! A big fan of Colonization too!
  11. I may not like it when it happens, but I usually stick with the consequences of my actions. It makes for a more interesting experience afterwards, from a roleplaying perspective. I used to have a real hard time being evil in most games, but I seem to find it a bit easier now. Perhaps I have become more sadistic??
  12. Were you also a huge fan of Morrowind? Seems to match that criteria perfectly.
  13. Hate to burst in here disagreeing, but it is possible to play D&D real-time, it doesn't need to be turn-based. Sorry Mr. Sawyer Check it out here! You will all thank me later!
  14. Yes they do. For example, the PS2 version of a RE can only be played exclusively on a PS2. If you try running it in an X-Box, it doesn't work.
  15. The reason why I liked it is because of the context it's used in. If it fits the world and provides appropriate atmosphere, how can you not like it??
  16. That's what makes it great for me. Plus it has an awesome soundtrack. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I love the "Isolated" track in Jeanette's place.
  17. Could *HAVE* used him....sorry, just bitter after the loss. Though 2 goals against, and from what I hear they were deflections and very difficult shots to stop, is not too bad. Need more goal support. At least we got a point though. Here's hoping Robbie Schremp can walk right in and be a dynamite offensive player as a rookie next year.
  18. Ah, but then suddenly out of nowhere, Mike Morrison becomes "The Wall" and Edmonton sweeps its way to the cup "
  19. It is an interesting phenomenon that RP usually starts out great, but as games progress (not just Bloodlines), it becomes increasingly hack and slash with less roleplaying elements.
  20. Distances should not matter. Unless you're concerned that the speed of light isn't fast enough to transmit. If it had the range, we wouldn't be able to notice any delay regardless of where you were standing on the entire planet. It will definitely require more bandwidth. Though I've not known current input peripherals to be particular bandwidth hogs. The rest of your points are valid concerns, but I don't think delay will be much of an issue
  21. My question was pretty rhetorical. Though you do get marks for the correct answer
  22. One of the biggest concerns with adaptive AI is that it's not finite. How do you verify that it runs flawlessly?
  23. Why would there be a delay like you seem to indicate?
  24. I'm sure there'd be sensitivity settings to set for this to happen. Why wouldn't there be this type of precision?
