  1. I have heard of that game, but not the company.
  2. How huge are these German companies?
  3. I played the game for approximately 3 monthes straight (literally no weekends), and got paid to do it. I think that is better than a free copy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still say ouch, though it would only matter if you were actually still interested in playing the game. My friend at Bioware was able to procure a copy of NWN: Diamond.
  4. No free copy for you? Ouch.
  5. It looks innovative and different. My biggest hopes for the game have nothing to do with the actual game, but the design of it (procedural, procedural, procedural).
  6. I'm guessing 2008. THere is no release date though.

I remember listening to people bitch about how he was underperforming and whatnot. He has really come on as of late....11 points in his last 11 games, now 13 in his last 12! I also loved all the people that complained about Horcoff being in the #1 spot. A PPG isn't too shabby at all. And Rem Murray's an Oiler again.
  8. Then why play CRPGs? Your bestest CRPG game ever has piss poor character visuals. Even today with amazing 3D graphics, there's still rather restrictive limits on how character can look. Is it even really possible to have a character "be yours" in a CRPG anyways? IMO there's waaaaaay to finite avenues to explore in any CRPG, excepting maybe a game like Morrowind. In Fallout I have to be THE vault dweller, and in Fallout 2, I have to be the vault dweller's decendant. Baldur's Gate => Bhaalspawn. Morrowind's pretty open, in that you're just a prisoner being put on an island. Gothic series is a bit more open as well.
  9. Then I guess a real time iteration is metagaming....it's not part of the rules either. http://www.answers.com/topic/pause Seems like the action is stopped while waiting for you to do your thing. The great thing is that you could spend about 27 hours determining what to do for your next turn, just like real life!
  10. While you are waiting, the game is paused. By your definition, it's metagaming.
  11. In that case, every turn based CRPG employees extensive metagaming. Though I'm sure you have had no problems employing this tactic....
  12. They are very different games. I think GalCiv2 is a much deeper game, but the combat in Empire at War is significantly more interesting.
  13. Darth Vader happy he chopped off Luke's hand?
  14. I'd maybe buy this, if the original poster asked the question. It's your own fault for thinking Steve's question was anything more than what it actually said. Besides, the thread was about a Jade Empire easter egg in HotU, not about Easter Eggs in items. You're just trying to save face.
  15. Wasn't Lou Gutman the name that I made fun of Hildegarde with? Well, he posted something about Lou, and I went on about how he totally just bashed some benevolent dude in New York? The name sounds familiar.....
  16. Someone asked if there is Easter Eggs, at which point you replied it doesn't have equipment, to which someone called you on it, at which point you clarify by stating the equipment isn't like HotU. Though your most recent comment helped obfuscate the thread even more.
  17. I never did see the remake. I had a feeling it just wouldn't be the same.

Meh, I think Joseph has been much more consistent this year than any of our three headed monster. He'd also have the benefit of playing behind one of the best shot blocking teams in the league. Though maybe he doesn't thrive in that situation.
  19. Irrelevant. At best you can conclude that the RT combat in Lionheart sucked.
  20. Did you actually get it, or are you still playing with the demo.
  21. I'd find a way to wreck it On the plus side, if you did completely demolish the game, they can always just use a previous one, and never let you touch it again
  22. Its not a lie. It dosnt have equipment in the same way that HotU does. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's not what you said though...
  23. That would require being familiar with the cliches of haunted houses. Doom 3 IMO is a better example of trying to hard. They had imps jumping out of pretty much everything, that my default way of opening up a door was to quickly strafe out of the way since more often than not, there was an imp behind it.
