  1. I'm not the only one discussing themes here.
  2. The Halo theme is pretty catchy. Oh, and (not actually a theme, but still awesome).
  3. Who's Gerald? He feels AP is a "high priority."
  4. Batman: AA is freaking awesome, but I have sung that tune a lot lately. I am currently d/l Empire: Total War off Steam.
  5. Linearity is not a requirement for an RPG. Looking at BioWare games, their most successful PC game, Baldur's Gate 2, is quite linear, and the only thing non-linear about KOTOR was that you could choose which Star Forge planet you wanted to explore next. NWN2 was pretty linear, as was MOTB.
  6. As someone that has tried to get their friends to play Baldur's gate and IWD, I know that it's very possible to be confused by the mechanics of AD&D in CRPG games. This is all with people that have no experience with AD&D PnP (myself included).
  7. Until I understood a lot of the mechanics of AD&D, games like the Gold Box games were very confusing. I didn't understand why Plate Armor had a lower Armor Class than Cloth Armor. And why did a +2 sword lower my THAC0 by 2?!? With the dice rolls being abstracted in CRPGs, a lot of the mechanics were not very intuitive at all I found.
  8. There's quite a few spell combinations actually.
  9. JA2 all the time is a wonderful idea!
  10. My guess was someone challenged Kaftan for being shallow for having strong physical influences on who he finds attractive.
  11. I think download limits depends on the game. I don't recall there being any download limits for NWN2
  12. I think Matthew's post was more directed at those that hadn't played the game yet.
  13. I just hold out hope that the inherent geekiness is appealing to some aesthetically pleasing, and financially secure, woman
  14. I think this is like the 23rd edition
  15. I definitely get the impression that the vision of the game they have, is that it is played in first-person mode.
  16. To be clear, I believe a lot of the reason why models are so skinny isn't necessarily because we consider that to be teh sexy, but because it's easy to make clothes for living coat hangers. Add in some curves and then you have to do a lot more effort in order to make the clothes look good. I heard this from a woman, that wasn't a model, so go figure.
  17. A lot of attraction is still a social construct.
  18. It's hilarious. I was wondering because at first when I got my Chinese Assault Rifle I was like "neat, the reload animation is really intricate." Then I fixed it, and was like "Wait... is it shorter now? Does it have multiple reload animations?" Then I realized it has to do with weapon quality.
  19. I do agree that most people settle. I think it's also true that we all "settle" in some way. But some just more than others. I prefer to not be in that group haha. I won't delude myself into thinking that I found the best match for me in all the world (since I'll never meet the whole world), but that person better damn well be one of the top contenders for best match I have met so far (and hopefully for the rest of my life).
  20. There's a third person view in Fallout 3? One thing I really liked about Fallout 3 was how the reload animations got longer and more elaborate the worse condition your weapon became. The rocket launcher was a lot of fun as you'd be flipping switches and smacking it to get it to finally work.
  21. I'm guessing because it just fits that archetype we're all used to. You aren't bound to wear them if you don't want to though. You could deck them out in full plate if you want
