I was at the stage of "Find Yngfirth in Dunnage" and nowhere near Dunnage actually (instead I was on an island visiting a forgotten tomb). After killing the Death Guard Fanatic there, the quest suddenly updated as if I had found Yngfrith. Savegame on entering Tomb (before killing Death Guard Fanatic): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-J_4GGqYzyFYvhSjcpq2WewTVnGpYdmY However, even after it updates the quest, talking to Modwyr does not progress the quest

Thanks Aarik. Another bug I noticed since for which you can use the same savegame is that even though I didn't have Pallegina in my party (or recruited at all), I got a conversation with her when talking to the Thug in Delver's Row about the dead body. To reproduce you'd have to give the crates to Morena in the save, go topside, then talk to the Thug who won't be hostile now about the Death Godlike.

When talking to Mad Morena, depending on the dialogue options picked, she will ask either for 4 or 6 luminous adra crates. However, even if you go for the 4 crate option, the game will then deduct 6 crates from your inventory. Savegame: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pkfU0FvGt32GbU-D7WxOcPNR5wVmbW8K/view?usp=sharing Another bug with the overall Delver's Row Task / Quest is that if you entered via the temple rather than Delver's Row to the Undercroft, you can sneak to the lift to take you to Delver's Row, but can't get past the Thugs without fighting them. This is because there is a floor trigger near the lift on the Delver's Row side that automatically makes the Thug hostile before you can physically get close enough to start conversation to stop them attacking you. In some cases you can talk to him anyway, but because the game already set the hostile status first, regardless of dialogue outcome they then still all turn hostile. This means that you cannot actually get back to the surface level without a fight or talking to Mad Morena You can reproduce that with above savegame too.

And also it is charming rather than dominating because it grazed you. But you are right, neither should happen

So I figured out why the game was stuttering a bit at night time in big cities such as Neketaka when I move about in stealth mode and press TAB to highlight stuff: It is because the random NPCs which are present during the day are made invisible but still present (view cones and all) at exits of the district and near houses, and the overlap of these which is displayed when tabbing is causing the stutters. Most noticeable if you stealth near Cotto at the north exit of the harbor district

If you speak to Kahn and start off asking about the contract rather than negotiating the fee (picking last 2 dialogue options), you eventually become unable to accept the contract or negotiate the fee in that conversation. If you then end dialogue and talk to Kahn again, you can ask about Oswald and the contract but still will not have the option to accept the contract. Unfortunately didn't keep the save.

3.02 Chanter not Chanting by default
PX1player replied to PX1player's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Strange, but then I also found it strange that after I uploaded the save, I then edited some chants and it worked normally again. Maybe worth testing a theory: Edit some chants. Remove Kana from party and add someone else Get Kana back into party but don't edit his chants Maybe that causes it? No idea -
Thinking here of optimal weapons to aim for, that are also achievable in a way that the game isn't already over by the time you get them. Been considering trying out a solo barb run since I've not done solo before, and potentially going for dual wield since 2handed on solo just sounds rather suicidal because slow. Granted, the soulbound 2handed swords are quite nice though, but don't synergize well on carnage I think? At the moment I was thinking that for example The Unlabored Blade and that durgan enchanted stiletto with divine mark would be a good combo to go for. However, both weapons being fast, I'd probably be relatively weak against high DR opponents with no way to mitigate it, other than hope for more burn procs. Maybe a war hammer like Strike Hard as an alternative weapon to use since it comes with speed, disorienting and has enough slots for either legendary or superlas and has higher base damage? Downside is that it has a different weapon focus from stiletto for when I swap it in... Open to ideas Also considering that there are likely to be times where a shield will be necessary, and the soulbound one seems best suited for that. Would it be worth picking up weapon+shield talent for the extra reflex and deflect? Non-class talent wise, I imagine I need at least 1 weapon focus, maybe 2? Hold the Line will be necessary due to solo and not wanting -10 deflect/sneak attacks. Two weapon fighting. Superior Deflection. Maybe weapon+shield focus, maybe bull's will (though less likely to be necessary in solo?)

Not sure what's causing it, but some fights, enemies have this blank (white square) debuff (up to 4 of it) named Sagani Attack (noticed mostly in od nua and sun in shadow). Sometimes it has no name and is just a white square (that happened in the WM2 bog area vs cultists). https://www.dropbox.com/s/21gqywsp0jimjd9/e2d2ab70-196f-49d5-a02a-bece575f0330%20quicksave2.savegame?dl=0

When you return the items to the Vithrak leader, there is a dialogue option saying that his scouts ambushed you on the way back. If you took the master staircase to say level 11 and then went down to 12 without meeting the scouts again, this shouldn't appear as an option https://www.dropbox.com/s/fxzxg6m7pm3vk1s/e2d2ab70-196f-49d5-a02a-bece575f0330%20save.savegame?dl=0

There's something wrong with the automatic AI for playable characters. Basically, if the option includes using Endurance restoration skills such as Second Wind, Lay on Hands, Restore X Endurance etc, the character will cast it on themselves (or allies) not only when they are low on Endurance, but also if they are only low on health. This means that if a character has 100 health left but is also at max endurance for that health (i.e. 100 endurance), they will still use the endurance restoring ability / become a target for allies using abilities even though no endurance can be restored in that case as health is too low.

When you close down and restart Pillars of Eternity, picking up loot results in the character interacting with the loot picking it into their inventory. When you select to pick up to stash instead, this behavior is saved for the duration of the game session only. This means you can load game and it will still remember to pick up items to stash. If however you close the game and start it again, it will default to the above behavior of placing it in character inventory again

I have Kana setup with 4 different chants but have manually selected Chant A (gets rotating green thing) However, while this works for the first battle, after battle, none of the 4 chants is selected and consequently in the next battle he won't chant unless I manually tell him to do so again. I don't think this happened before I gave him more than 1 different chant option. Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4gpu3otkikkhsjh/e2d2ab70-196f-49d5-a02a-bece575f0330%20autosave_1.savegame?dl=0 /edit Also, I notice that while not in combat, I can change the Chant modal, but if I'm not in combat but also in stealth, it is greyed out until I exit stealth, even though chanting won't start until combat anyway /edit2 The Plot thickens! At the end of each combat even though Kana wasn't chanting (no sound, no bonuses being displayed anywhere), it will still say "Kana stopped chanting Chant 1"

Did you try resting several times in a row since then? Try going through the Godhammer line of questioning, that was the last bit. Also check you have done the Magran's forge quest in Defiance Bay etc - best look at the wiki for the various steps Can't say I've had any issues with Durance in 3.02 (and I was at the same bit you were at pre 3.02)
