  1. If it had bots for LAN/Solo play I would likely pick it up, but since it doesn't I'll pass.
  2. Actually I agree with the deletions, others might not but I do.
  3. Yeah... That doesn't make any sense. Obsidian has nothing to do with TOR and BioWare is only making it because they are being paid to make it. If you want to be mad at something be mad at Lucas Arts.
  4. Strawman much? I'm one of those "fundamentalists complaining very loudly about restrictions that actually aren't all that unreasonable" as I believe that any DRM is too much DRM. Sure, I'll buy games that have lesser forms of DRM, such as Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2, but do I like the lesser form of DRM? No, I do not - it is only preferable when compared to the alternative forms that companies are employing. If a game has a DRM scheme I do not like I'll either not buy/play it or see if a friend has a copy I might borrow or play on their PC. Anyways, getting to Ubisoft's DRM, this new plan is just asinine and will, hopefully, die quickly.
  5. Yeah, all you have to do is turn off something like authorised=1 in an xml file. Still idiotic, but that's only part of the DLC problems isn't it? Yup. All you need to do is tweak a few lines and then the DLC will be activated.
  6. Yeah, I was going to pick that up as well... But not now, I'm not touching games with Ubi's DRM.
  7. Cool, thanks for that information.
  8. I'd like to see Culpa Innata 2 but it looks like that might be a dead project.
  9. If you have either of the first two S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games on Steam you can pick up CoP for $19.99.
  10. In most, if not all, of those games -it's been awhile so I cannot remember if the examples were this way- you did get a "character" - you are King XYZ, the leader of the great nation of ABC.
  11. Christina - Bella Morte
  12. Again? Wow, I guess that goes to show how resilient the 8800 is, although I would think that it's starting to show it's age by now - or has technology not advanced that much? The GTS 250 is a 9800 GTX+, and that was iirc a 8800 GT, and that seems to score ok (although not as good as newer cards) on most games.
  13. I decided to pick up the original Stalker game off Steam. I'm still downloading it, but I always meant to play it and never got around to it. There's a couple mods you might want to try, particularly Oblivion Lost as that restores lost content.
  14. I would but I'm fairly sure that the 3XX series in going to be out of my budget.
  15. Face meet palm.
  16. Cool, I'll try to catch it sometime. Is there a podcast version that can be downloaded or do we have to listen live?
  17. Sympathy for the Devil - The Electric Hellfire Club
  18. Well to each his/her own, Steph and I enjoyed the show and that's what matters. In fact I would say that the entire night was a success.
  19. Not strapped immoveably to your forearm like some piece of cyber-bondage gear. Knowing Bethesda it's more likely to be a bit of a cyber-chastity belt.
