What are you playing now?
I applied the blood patch, but haven't noticed anything. Did I do something wrong? It really only shows if you do an attack that decapitates, or otherwise severely wounds, your opponent, and then it's only a small amount.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - Bloody good game -and now that the I have the bug-fix it really is bloody-, glad I decided to buy it as soon as it came out.

Laptop Time
Look at the Vostro series from Dell, they're cheap and you can get better components.

The Witcher Enhanced Edition is out!!!
It's worth the money, or time if you already have a copy and are going for the patch.

EA Sticking With SecuROM
I'll write a better response when I wake up tomorrow, but I just thought I would quickly address this one point. While I would prefer if games were playable without the DVD or CD -mainly because I do play games on my laptop in addition to my main PC and thus I don't like carrying around the original copies of games as they could be easily damaged- that is not my biggest concern when it comes to data rights management. For example, I would have bought The Witcher: Enhanced Edition off of Impulse if I could have gotten a physical DVD, yes I am still one of those people who like their tangible products, but instead got the regular, TAGES-enabled boxed version. Sure, I might need to keep the DVD in the drive for now, but I am sure there will be a crack sooner or later - and if there is not I'll just pick up another copy when the price drops. Now, you might be tempted to say something like this; "You SPENT MONEY on a DRM-enabled game?! Doesn't this make you a hypocrite for critizising EA?" However, you would be wrong. For TAGES, as far as I know, is nothing more than an extremely complicated DVD-check and does not require you to register your PC or tick off one of your three, or five, installations whenever you set-up your game. I might not like it, but it certainly seems a hell of a lot better than the alternatives.

EA Sticking With SecuROM
Modding is a major issue, the control scheme and upgrading are others.

EA Sticking With SecuROM
I would not abandon playing old games, nor would I get a console; however, I would not, in all probability, be buying any new releases.

I'm now modding The Witcher, or at least playing around with the editor.

Romantic drivel
nope Why am I not surprised? EDIT: Wait, you didn't get sex?!

Evidently a copy of Portal is a good gift to give a potential date, or at least that worked for me tonight - I'll have to get her some mods though.

EA Sticking With SecuROM
They do use SecuRom already, you know? Sure, but not in the same way as EA - it is not as draconean. I will, sadly, not spend money on the latest Obsidian products. You'll still play them though, right? Nope. I have yet to play Mass Effect or Spore, I doubt that this stance will change because it's from another company.

Disk 1 Help
There is one option, but I cannot talk about it on this forum. You might want to try doing this though: Step 1 -- Create a folder on your hard disk, for instance, C:\KCDs. Step 2 -- Copy the entire contents of KotOR 2 CD #1 to that folder Step 3 -- For each of the other CDs, copy only the single filed named dataX.cab to the same folder, where the "X" in dataX.cab is the number 3, 4, and 5 depending on which CD it's on. Step 4 -- Run the installation program Setup.exe from that folder you just created. When you're done installing it, you can delete that folder from your hard disk.

Zombie survival
I started up the forge the other day and began practicing forging melee weapons, it's harder than I remembered although I'll have to post pictures if the project comes out in reasonable shape.

What you did today
Some are, some are most definitely not and are better armed than some S.W.A.T. teams - it depends on the level you are talking about.

What you did today
I'm going to swing by Gamestop and pick up a copy of The Witcher - Enhanced Edition later tonight and pick up another game for a friend -not sure what I'll get her though- as a gift.

EA Sticking With SecuROM
Good riddance if they're not going to change the DRM that they use.

TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline, READ FIRST POST BEFORE POSTING.
Yeah, well, I believe they are actually doing some voice work and have made some new modules - so your examples are useless. Also, as a person who admits that he has no knowledge of modding, I find it humorous that you seem to be all-knowing when it comes to this particular one.

What are you playing now?
How is it? Great. At first I thought it was not gong to be up to par, but once I got into the game my opinion quickly changed. Is it worth reinstalling to play clear sky if you have only recently finished STALKER. Are there new areas, or just a few new missions There are several new areas and enemies, and the old places look different enough that they're interesting while still staying true to the original.
