  1. I cant imagine how this would be possible in an MMO. I mean, one persons actions effecting the game for thousands? See Eve. But isn't Eve Online purely an open-world MMO and not a story-driven one?
  2. Good for you, another one saved from the scourge of the pay-for-play MMO!
  3. That's $15 that could be used to buy something that I'll be able to play forever without spending another cent. Exactly. I like either free multi-player or no-multi-player.
  4. I think it's under "compatibility" when you go to properties - not sure if it's the same in XP SP3, I'll look on my other PC later.
  5. i am an administrator since i don't create accounts. at least i think i am. That's not the same as running an application in administrator mode, or at least I'm fairly certain that's the case.
  6. The little heart means that you slept with that person.
  7. It looks like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is getting a film adaptation!
  8. Try running in administrator mode if you have any more problems, that's seemed to have helped people who get the CTDs.
  9. This was posted in one of the dead threads, but I thought I would re-post it now that I've found a quote from one of the developers. Shacknews also notes that Fallout 3 will have no install limit. You listening, EA? http://www.gamepolitics.com/2008/10/02/bet...y-drm-fallout-3
  10. EDIT: Accidental double post.
  11. Painkiller and one of its expansion packs -the original not the one with the half-devil main character- and I have to say that I find the starting Orphanage level more disturbing than all of Doom III and its expansion, or any other game I can remember for that matter. I thought it would be more like Jericho, fighting demonic enemies and twisted versions of the past, but so far it's not been like that at all. Maybe things will change when I get further into the games -I'm playing both- but, at the moment, one is an ok shooter and the other is simply troubling. I think it's due to the fact that you, the player, are forced to kill children -even if they are zombie-like demons, they still look and sound like children-, and there's no way around that fact. In other game, like Fallout I/II, the option was there but you were not forced to take it if you did not want to - there is no such freedom here. Maybe it will feel different once the initial shock wears off -I was not expecting this and so it probably had more of an effect that it normally would have-, I'll see and post what happens as I get further into the game.
  12. If it's pay-for-play I'll not be paying or playing.

  14. I don't know, some of them are good..
  15. Die Arse - ass does not have enough letters.
  16. dog cats dip pats sip pigs sap dogs etc...
  17. Sure it's not d** s***?
  18. Yeah, I would think one of them might not count - not sure we're thinking of the same reason though...
  19. Uh, no there should not. Some games are built around a certain person, or persons, and would not work if he/she/they were switched with someone else.
  20. Although you were right in a way, she had black hair in the films.

  21. Masquerade! Masquerade! Anyways, I actually might go to one later this month... :)

  22. So it's going to be these two? Doomguy: Doomgirl:
  23. Quite a few I know... Yeah, it's because they were gits - there are other games with male NPCs who can be romanced, if you so choose, that are not f-ing annoying.
  24. The original Fallouts had them -or at least Fallout 2 did, it's been awhile since I played Fallout- so I would hope they continued the tradition or at least had a logical in-game explanation of why it was excluded.
