  1. The drunk side!!!! (w00t) Next time, tell the barkie to give me something other than juma juice.
  2. To the original poll I prefer to see a new ship instead of the old hawk. I want to see something new~
  3. Err... A game developed by both Black Isle and Bioware... I loved the bad guys in that series.
  4. How about a bad guy who just come to take away your divine essence... Err... I mean, your force. Plus, he has a vampire sister... Err... I mean, leach like alien "sister"...
  5. That's an awesome suggestion, but seeing as how the CRPGers apparently have no hand eye coordination, and they complained about the extremely simple Ebon Hawk turret minigame, I think we'd get complaints of 'twitch' elements. Although it will be great for me if it is another turret fight minigame style, my original thought is something like those catapults in the Neverwinter nights. Some modules or the HotU expansion have such design. I believe it will be fun to add this.
  6. Just few suggestions: 1. Sentry guns: Did you guys see the movie Aliens? I wish we can set up our own autometic sentry guns. 2. More "usable" stuff: Let's say I'd love to jump into a laser turret whan I see a band of enemy soldiers 3. Demolition: I think the characters with such skill should be able to set up bombs to blow up something... (Say doors, mainframe, enemy vehicles... etc.)
  7. Play on after game? There are few games I know that have such feature, the Privateer series/Freelancer/X-beyond the frontier series. I think ALL of them are not successful in this. Although the above games are all space shooters, they all have role-playing features. If you want people to keep playing the game after the main story ended, you got to make the quests interesting. The Privateer series were better, the first game has a random mission generator which makes people getting bored few days later; the second game has a mission pool which contains various well designed missions with funny story or puzzles, however, poeple still got bored since the missions started to repeat again and again. (They can not create infinite missions for the pool.) I don't know if the Obsidian guys can make a powerful random mission generator which can create hundreds of different missions with good story. Actually, I don't expect that! That is just a dream back to the time the OSI did not merge into EA. So I prefer the Obsidian guys focus on polishing the game rather than waste their time in this. If the KotOR2 won't do it the way I said, then the game must have LOTS of side quests. Now, what do we want to play it for? To reach the level cap? To get powerful equiptment? I think after we beat the main story-line, our PC should already reach the level cap or at least 2~3 levels away, plus we already got lots of powerful equiptmets. I don't see the point why should we keep playing the game.
  8. Basilisk droid TripleRRR Thanks TripleRRR I think the force speed should have similar effect. Since you can act so fast, the blaster beam should seem to be slower. But I don't like to see the blaster beam to travel as slow as the bullets in the matrix. Hay, it's blasters not the regular guns!
  9. Few suggestions for repairing skills: a. we can have more functions when we repair a droid: 1. Assasination: Go find a target, then KABOOM! B) 2. Self destruct: We only have this once in the original game. (In the Valker's base, lower Taris) I'd love to see this more in the new game. 3. Sabotage: Order the droid to carry a virus to infect the main-frame, ID4 like stuff. 4. Remote control: Use the data pad to remote control it to open the doors or sort. PS: I think the driods should not being considered as hostile by opponents as long as it does not fire at them. They should consider those droids as their's. b. Sabotage: Why can't we go to the engine room to set the self destruct mode for Levithan? At least we can temper with the engine... Additional suggestion: I want to see the Mandalorian droid! (Balistik droid?)
  10. All I want is a cheese burger... Ok, to be serious. I wish the developers can put in some animations like opening a hatch and pull out a gun like stuff when the droid is using flame thrower or freezing ray. It seems wired to see the flame or freezing ray come out from the blaster or no where...
  11. This idea is cool! Hopefully, they might put in some other competitors or some guild wars. I also like to see that we can run the places like casino, brothel and black market... PS: If I do run a game developing company, my workers would probably consider me as a slave driver...
  12. Even though the game is called "Kinghts of the old republic", this does not mean there is no NPC who has the thief skills... B)
  13. I have an idea. Maybe the developers can put in a luxury liner, which is like the one in the movie "the fivth element". There are casino, theatre, observation deck, bar and more on the ship, and we can go there any time. Knockback seems unnatural, but is a great idea if only some special guns have this ability. BTW, I wish the developers can make anyone who is caught by the grenade blast be knocked down. I think it is a wonder to see people who can run as usual after they are caught by blast...
  14. I just come up with some suggestions: a. Upgrades for Ebon Hawk: Yeah... I mean "UPGRADES"! Say, mines that can wipe out sith fighters or shield upgrades to make us harder to kill..... Just something that could add some spice during the turret fight. b. Joinable sub-factions or stronghold quests: Some other sides (not just republic / sith) to join, which may have their own allegiance to either side or none. They also offer some quests fo pc to gain access to their faction and some premium equiptment. The sub-factions also offer their connections and we will be able to get more options/paths for the main story. Stronghold quest are the same, except it's class based. (Just like those in BG2) c. More plannets/Space stations/Capital ships: 7 plannets for main story is fine, but I prefer to see some other places that have big side quests. The Yavin space station was not good, it's too small and the quests are small and boring. I think a place like the size of Taris and some side quests there will be great.
  15. Here is my suggestions: 1. Longer effective range for guns: I am a blaster lover. even after my PC became a jedi, I still use blasters quite often. There are two problem that is quite annoying for me: a. the blasters are not powerful as stated above. b. the effective range is TOO SHORT! I found that usually my PC can only fire 2~3 shots before the opponents move within 1 meter range and wave their melee weapons, and my PC uses two blaster pistols to made that much shots! 2. More differences between each weapon type: This one is especially for guns. I found that the rifle's range is only 5 meters longer than pistols and the damage they can cause are the same, which is not reasonable. The rifles should be able to shoot much longer than pistols or do more damage than pistols. Otherwise, why use the rifles? Pistols are small, easier to carry and hide, and can do the same damage as rifles! <_< What I want to say is to make rifles and reapeating blasters/cannons shoot much longer than pistols, and make the rifles and heavy weapons do more damage than they were in the first game. 3. More weapons: Let's say portable proton torpedo launcher could be useful in some occasion, or maybe some shotgun type weapons that don't shoot far but cause great damage to those who stand in a small area.
  16. Though multiplayer mode might be cool, I prefer the developers just focus on single player game and refine it. So my answer is: NO!
  17. I don't think the Mandalore is the name of the Mandalorian's homeworld, at least in KotOR no one mentioned that.
  18. Personally, I wish there is a guild to join which offers the insteresting and highly rewarded missions. I played the game Privateer long time ago, in the game, you can join the bounty hunter guild and take the missions which are randomly generated. Due to the difference of the game mechanics, I won't ask the developer to create the "randomly generated missions". Maybe it can work like the Privateer 2, which there is a mission pool and the mission offered was randomly chosen from the pool. So the developers can refine each mission, such as adding some back ground story or puzzles. Plus, those mission only little XP rewards with lots of credits. I think this will add more spice to the game and won't be much a problem to those who don't want to play as bounty hunter. B)
  19. Whip is funny! (At least in the NWN it was!)
  20. I wish I could see the cloud city in the game. (I forget what the plannet is called.) It would be cool if we stand on the top of the tower and look at the surroundings. See the cloud and the spaceship flying by, that my be a great scene. Also, remember to add the interoir of the factory, and maybe a sith in black with a black mask plus freaky breathing sound and say "I am YOUR FATHER!".... As for Mannan, I wish this time we go to other place, say Mon Calameri... (Do you guys remember the octopus head Adm. Ackbar?) That plannet has more isles and might be easier for developers to create more funny places.
