  1. Ah yes I am sure they are epic long games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You wouldn't know as you've never played a console game How can you honestly complain about something you've never tried? Come on, DR, get a PS2 and see what you're missing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure I have in the past. My ex and my best friend have the bloody things.
  2. Ah yes I am sure they are epic long games.
  3. Trend which is the current trend at the moment. Make a short forgettable game than throw it away and install/start another game.
  4. Sounds good to me.
  5. The shortness of game trend is the fault of consoles. Made ideally for kids with low attention spans, who have no desire to take all kinds of quests, or explore the story. Hey lets just make it hack n slash.
  6. Nice try but you lose. R00fles!
  7. Lameness Meta, Lameness.
  8. Very duobtful on that. BG mods are very good. Besdies Witches Wake I have yet to find a good NWN mod.
  9. Yes that is good, we would accept that.
  10. You play fan made mods for NWN?? You make mods, thus being a fan made mod, for NWN?
  11. If it is, I blame Atari for it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, blame Lucasarts for KOTOR 2, blame Atari for NWN 2. And i think next time we will blame SEGA. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That worked for Troika (w00t) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course it did, Troika was great.
  12. Stop being narrow mined. Look into the future when you buy a game. If it has modding possibilities, it has more replay value, you get your moneys worth in the end.
  13. Would it have sold as well if it didn't have Dungeons and Dragons in the title? I think not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It would be nothing without the D&D name attached to it.
  14. The BG games have many mods, which keeps that series interesting.
  15. A tool set is what brings more life into a game>>mods.
  16. Those games except PST, are not throw away games. Throw away games is something that only keeps your attention span for one game, than you are ready to play the next great thing.
  17. One thing I'd point out Grom is that you do not need to use the toolset to benefit from it. Without that there would have been no NWNVault and no 5000 modules to download for free. If even 50% of those 2 Million (and I account for two of them) gamers downloaded even one user made module, they benefited/used the toolset. Heck, Shadowlords/Dreamcatcher/Demon alone has been downloaded nearly a million times from the 4 websites that hosted them. Take that away and where would NWN be? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It would be another throw away game. Play it once to completion that throw it away.
  18. Sounds lame. What fun is playing a game in such a short amount of time?
  19. No, Atari. We can not blame the great Obsidian.
  20. If it is, I blame Atari for it.
  21. Morrowind. I found my game guide.
  22. But people were begging to get to epic levels in NWN 2... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've never understood the desire for "epic" gaming. Seems pretty boring. But then, maybe that's why I've always enjoyed BG more than BG2 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I buy a $50 game I want my money's worth from it. Epic long game would be swwet, just like BG1 that you mentioned.
  23. That would be good. A 60+ hours worth of game play.
  24. Jar Jar should have been run over in the first minutes we saw him. Those damned Jedi.
  25. We shall see. I will say this again I like long houred games.
