  1. I got scolded by the head foreman of the plant for not guessing and preparing for the possibility that someone(the #2 foreman of the plant...) would use the plans for sofa #30 to check for a part in sofa #32. Different models, different plans, right? RIGHT?
  2. From the thread's title I thought they were married over the weekend. Congrats!
  3. You know what I meant. These Apatow films all have a very similar "jobless pothead slob "vibe to them. It's where the comedy comes from. Oh and I'm pretty sure if one looks closely enough there is pot use in the "party scene"...
  4. Superbad - Some funny parts but I'm getting annoyed with all the same cursing/sexual/pot jokes found in all these movies involving Seth Rogan. Yes, we know you find pot head slobs funny. We get it. Enough. Anyway I had a few chuckles but I found Knocked Up funnier and a better film overall and 40 Year Old Virgin is still the comedy king of the decade for me. 7/10 Plug Me In - Haven't watched it yet. My wife gave it to me for my birthday. Since I'm a huge AC/DC fan I'll give it a 9/10 right off the bat...
  5. QFT! I used to be like a lot of guys. I didn't want kids, I wanted to stay single forever, enjoying my time drinking, sleeping, watching whatever movies I wanted and playing video games. These feelings changed a bit after I met my wife but were still present in various degrees until the very second my daughter was born 6 months ago almost to the day. Let's just say that having a child is like getting hit in the groin really hard by reality. This is a good thing. How shallow my life was before my daughter. But the second she was born it's like I understood everything. All came into focus and I learned that SHE is what life is about and everything else is just filler. I love you sweetheart!
  6. I thought it was pretty good although the flash backs did mess it up for me as well. And I couldn't figure out the time frame. Obviously it(what they called the "present day" events) happens before the destruction of the Pegasus and before New Caprica but after Cain's Death. The "Guardians are pretty fraking awesome too!
  7. Enchanted: At about 3/4 the film turns into an ordinary chick flick but with Susan Sarandon completely destroying the movie(as far as I'm concerned anyway). She's still hot and looks the part but her performance in this is terrible. The rest of the movie is pretty good. Some truly hilarious moments and a really good job from Amy Adams. 8/10(if not for SS it would be a 9)
  8. I completely agree with you. It's just more... magical. The other two, although quite spectacular, are war movies set in medieval times. #1 embodies the fantasy genre to quasi perfection.
  9. Good or bad? I went out and bought Hitch****'s Rope last night. Watched it today. Great movie. There's about 15 minutes of cool stuff (2 fights total for the hero...) for 1 hour and 45 minutes of yapping. The setting makes it interesting and the tech is pretty good but it was overhyped. It's also pretty close to the poem but it takes some liberties that purists may find offensive. Viewer discretion is advised. I found it pretty good but I won't see it again until the DVD comes out. 8/10 (because the changes didn't bother me too much)
  10. Beowulf Pretty good although I was familiar with the tale and since it is actually very thin it kind of ruined the movie for me a bit. The tech is pretty good also but CGI actors are still stiff and cold and the acting itself is still stale. Beowulf makes great leaps in that regard however. I wish someone would make the entire story of Beowulf. If he's such a great monster hunter why is it that every time his story is told we only get Grendel and it's mom? Also after seing this, I want a God of War movie. I couldn't stop thinking about this throughout the film. 8/10
  11. "Respect the ****" Magnolia was great. And it's not that he overacts, it's that he acts the same way. Wether your watching Jerry McGuire, Born on the 4th of July or even Magnolia, your still watching Tom Cruise. Because he's playing the "star system", because his agent and the producers are telling him to. I think he is well cast in most of his films. I also think he must ask for a bit too much screen time i.e. Last Samourai. Meh.
  12. I can't watch The Godfather. I can't understand how anyone can get all sentimental about thieves and murderers and make them out into heroes. I don't get Sopranos either. I don't deny they are superbly filmed and written movies but the subject matter discusts me. Sorry. Meet the Robinsons: Surprisingly funny but the pacing is way too fast. Character models are so so but the animation is great. Also, the creators have the "shiny chrome effect" mastered. 8/10
  13. The main baddy in Heroes is Sylar. He's the main threat of the series. However Adam is probably the baddy for Season 2, much like Linderman was for Season 1. I still would like to know who White Beard is.
  14. A writer/producer apologizing? Don't see that too often. I wasn't aware that Heroes had dropped off so much in viewer appreciation but I agree with what he says. Love stories pretty much killed BSG. Although I liked Hiro's it would've gone better for me if he was actually Kensei and not . I would've liked to see the actual trials take place, not some shot of the results. We have a supposed bad@ss samoura
  15. It's of him shooting shapechanged Adam?
  16. No you're not. However, not all of Isaac's paintings have come to pass so.
  17. Well if he has Peter's power he could've time-jumped anytime after meeting Hiro. Then walk by Claire. Or anyone.
  18. I'm saying his ability could've surfaced before he got shot, not necessarily at birth. He became aware of it then, not before, unless he did know and we didn't. Heck for all we know, since every hero seems to have a duplicate, Adam could have Peter's power, allowing him to travel the space time continuum after sucking in Hiro's.
  19. Says who? What if it was the first time he was shot? What if he knew about his ability all along? He could be thousands of years old.
