  1. Yeah, seeing these two statements side-by-side, one immediately thinks the fault does not lie with the game. Some people cant handle the truth. Sad but true. The bugs, the rushed incomplete ending and the poor story and npcs really crushed kotor2 even though it had, for its time, a great gameplay engine. It was a sad excuse for a game
  2. Whatever you want. Most do it at 4-6 Most fights in the game a very easy. Then there are some insane spikes. (Dragon fights). Raedric is an earlier spike but can be avoided as a spike if you do it at level 6 or above. I prefer when my games have alot more challenge in all fights but no crazy spikes
  3. The load screens, in this day and age, is beyond insane. Seeing how the game is not very flashy there should be no loads at all. They should not build a new engine. The poe players are not about flashy stuff anyway. They really, and i cant stress this enough, need to learn how to fix their billions of bugs. The IP is fine, sidequests were amazing in poe. They got stuff like that covered. Now fix the issues and profit
  4. Cc is insanely overpowered. Keeping enemies constantly cced is very easy with just a single wizard. And just like the OP says if you lose control over your own team...
  5. But the really powerful spells have pretty good range and since the enemies swarm over the tanks they are actually peetty close yet dont break away to go for back row so that isnt an issue. But the auras wont reach my own team but ive tried having them closer and then friend and foe is all mingled.up and spellcasters get attacked at.times. Arkemyr%27s_Capricious_Hex+insect plague is a very nice opener that has enormous range. Having an area filled with seal, ice.fog etc aswell makes encounters a bloodbath and the hardest enemies will often not even dent my tanks.
  6. I enjoyed the read. I normally play gold pact paladins so: (Stoic)Sworn enemy I type alittle less than you : ) I really enjoy having the premade npcs, adventurers feel empty, i wouldnt change a fun party
  7. I never did get a rank in disfavored but what happens if you have: Favored Rank 4 Rank 3 Disfavored Rank 1 Would it be +6 defl or or +5? Anyone knows?
  8. Ok good. Thanks for the clarification i misunderstood your findings before.
  9. The basics about how dex in armor effects attacks. 3 dex vs 18 dex with 50% recovery And 3.dex vs 10 dex? 50% recovery armor again What is the difference?
  10. When chosing your convictions in conversations you eventually get a rank (clever 1, honest 3 etc) for each rank you get +1 deflection, +2 reflex, will, fort. You can only claim these bonuses for the first 3 ranks in each of your dispositions 3 clever 3 diplomatic = 6 the max you can get. It takes time to build them. Keep chosing them. This only works for main character
  11. A great formation for a paladin tank (or tanks) is front position and then all the others in the last rank. Yes your aura even with 19 int wont reach anyone but your other tank but noone will run past your tanks. Ive done hundreds of battles with this formation 2 as far forward as possible, 4 as far back as possible and the enemies just swarm the tanks. (No engagement talents) Coupled with the paladins insane defenses that makes for a very powerful tactic (wizard, druid, priest spells raining down on the poor enemeis)
  12. Its fine. One could argue that obsidian has really balanced the stats for a paladin well and building a better paladin then that isnt possible. Id probably prefer less in intellect and more in constitution to make the best tank possible but the difference is really small tbh and something has to be sacrificed. My favorite current stats are Mig 11 Con 18 Dex 10 Per 10 Int 10 Res 19 I also really like changing MIG and Con for eachother if i want more offense and healing. I say high resolve for a tank paladin and best race is moon. The rest is all fluff. I wouldnt lower two stats of the same defense though (low per and dex) And even maxing resolve for a tank i mean a high resolve is nice but 15 or 18 at level 14 doesnt mean that much. I kind off like having 2 high stats for rp reasons aswell. For example the mighty paladin with iron resolve. Fits nice
  13. The exact opposite of this. KOTOR2 was garbage. Buggy beyond belief but its greatest flaw was a very weak covoluted story. Kreia is possibly the worst written rpg character obsidian has ever done. Also the ending was beyond rushed and unfinished. KOTOR1 was much much much better. I loved that game. To bad kotor2 wasnt a worthy follow up at all. The main story in POE is pretty weak aswell but not anything near kotor2 (which is a hundred times weaker) but the side quests are really good and some npcs are well written which saves POE and makes it good overall background wise. If you want to play a great obsidian game, one of the best games ever made all genres, then the final new vegas ultimate edition is what you need.
  14. This. OP does not know what he is talking about. CC was before the accuracy buff to PE borderline broken. It dominated the game. Now? I redid all the bounties and my wizard could keep all enemies more or less constantly cc on hard. None of the bounties could do even 20% dmg to any of my chars.
  15. It has short range but it is good against the dragons. And its level 2! Even a graze really hurts their danger potential to harmless. Chaining it can work because of it.
  16. I agree arquebus with exceptional and +25% dmg enchant. Boom headshot. Also the range for taking out that almost dead priest or druid about to cast that spell..
  17. The orders and their talents are just fluff. The normal talents are better Shiledbearer has a somewhat unique good build but the standard pally build is still better imo. As for stats id say max resolve. The others you can do what you want with as a first timer, it wont be bad at all. They all have value.
  18. Min max? Paladin with pike and 3 res? He got the min part covered well. The max? Not so much
  19. Sabre. Purgatory in twin elms. Good choice with paladin and moon. I understand why he tanks better than eder. Silvertide and faith and convic+reputation is a great combo I suggest looking at the build i posted in the other thread
  20. Here is a build i like. Hardest tank. And still good damage. Just try him and you will see. Moon race Aedyr/ ixamitl.plains Mig 18 Con 18 Dex 3 Per 10 Int 10 Res 19 He will be a fantastic tank. Give him the sabre that drains hp and you will be surprised at the damage he deals. Use other sabres before that. Level 2 weapon shield 4 better faith n conv 6 deflection 8 will 10 fort 12 refl 14 cautious attack (last 4 in order you prefer, cautious nice for bosses) Level 3 To hit aura 5 sworn enemy (use this to pump damage up) 7 flaming sword 9 bonus vs will attacks By his silvertide, 2 strong lay.on hands and drain attacks coupled with insane defenses makes taking him out hard. His endurance pool almost becomes his health pool He works almost the same with 11 mig and 10 dex if you prefer
  21. If anyone is trolling its clearly you. You dont know what you are talking about mental fortress often does not work.
