Still Alive Still Alive AND Still Alive
  3. I really want to know why some people prefer AD&D to 3.++ editions. I just can't understand it. I vastly prefer BAB to THAC0 as well as enjoy how 3ed purged many - although not all - idiotic restrictions (not to forget 3ed brought feats) in D&D ( Granted, my knowledge of AD&D comes almost exclusively from CRPG's. )
  4. No it doesn't. D&D has its flaws, true, but it's still great system. And which does not encourage meta-gaming.
  5. But is it real this game don't have frickin' voice effects? I'm not expecting production values a la Hollywood, but no voices at all is a bit extreme for me

Indeed. What a fine, addicting piece of music! we do what we must because we can for the good of all of us except for the ones who are dead but there's no sense crying over every mistake you just keep on trying until you run out of cake and the science gets done and you make a neat gun for the people who are still alive ^__^ Btw, "Still Alive" aka ending credits of Portal has been already watched over half million times in youtube. Woot. As for Torment, I'm currently listening Deionarra theme. Man, I must get back to that game soon... but first, I shall finally finish MotB with my evil character

Portal end song - Still Alive BAAWWW this is just too great
  8. There's stuff from previous, non-final release build

FF Tactics has - when being objective - better TB combat. Of course, they should have, since they're newer games with more bells and whistles. However, Fallout's combat is extremely fun, although (especially in FO1) easy. But really, Fallout's are only games where I just start shoot random civilians because it's so damn fun. It has always been hard to play as "good" character in Fallout because it's just too much fun randomly walk in city and start slaughter 'Sides, do you have other game where you can shoot your opponent's groin for extra pain? Thought so.

  11. What the? You can only play as fighter, thief or wizard. You start as fighter anyway, lvl 3 IIRC. Later on you can change to thief or wizard. ATTRIBUTE POINTS DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH CLASS. They're, well, attributes. Fighter can be as smart as wizard aka has just as high intelligence. Attribute points has nothing to do with classes. Sure, it's questionable is wizard with INT 11 and STR 16 useful, but that's possible
  12. You don't have to play as wizard. Just make sure you have WIS/INT/CHA high. Game is as close to prose as can be with CRPG, fighting is not main strenght/focus of game. (IIRC there's only 3 hours of fighting that's unavoidable by dialogue and stealth ). Fights shouldn't be hard for "unoptimized" fighter. On the other hand you could go way I'm going to go with my next campaign. But I wouldn't recommend it for first time.
  13. PS:T has best plot ever. PS:T and Baldur's Gates use previous incarnation of D&D system. It was followed by (better) D&D 3.0 and 3.5 (pretty much same thing). D20 system of Kotors are bit different, but closer to 3.0/5 than to AD&D edit: Which reminds me, I have no memories of all the THAC0 stuff Also, remember that high WIS/INT/CHA are extremely important. If you still want muscled fighter with those stats high you should check this topic. But that's by no means needed. In fact, I think you should stay away stuff like that during your first playthrough (and in general I cheat never. Ruins the fun )
  14. It's too well known and profitable. WTF. AD&D sucks. 2nd edition is pain (lol@my latest replay of BG2).
  15. Doesn't matter much. Sales rate of DS compard to 360's = crushing defeat for 360. As it is with Wii.
  16. Kotor's combat was way too easy, but it was entertaining enough to keep me interested in game. Propably because of awesome animations (KII has best attack animations in CRPG IMO ). Also, "combat is teh suckage" definetly IS NOT main point of criticism. What was worst for me was part about party interaction.
  17. NOOOOOOOO Also, Best review so far IMO. Or maybe I should say honest. edit: No zomgbestgameevecanwegetsmoneynow or "baww consoles sucks so ME is suckage". Maybe disappointment to (?) hype has had some effect, but not much. By far most honest review so far. And fits in picture I've got from game. Solid title, but nothing special. And definetly no revolution of RPG's. 'Sides, it looks like game isn't extreme. Bleh.
  18. no it wasn't genius
  19. It's gay Mystra's going to die though Although I like "Spellplague". More crazed casters FTW! Also, maybe this's how we get rid of ridiculous
  20. You're being worse than Sand on his periods. Srsly.
  21. What you've been smoking? Malak has been dead for years in Kotor time
  22. Of course not, but all I've seen (dialogue so far, basic plot (machine aliens coming from dah deep space!), art direction, setting etc.) so far have been incredibly bland and dull. Nor I haven't heard about any interesting roleplaying options (so far just collar grabbing & according to PC Gamer's "review" options don't actually have much actual effect on world, more like just alternative dialogue lines), though glance on spoiler forums had one remotely interesting one. Apparently .
