Not sure what you mean. I just rolled an Arcanist and was able to prepare spells like a wizard except that you only need to slot a spell once and then can cast it how ever many times you have spontaneous casts available.

I was thinking of trying this or sylvan sorc but haven't gotten around to it yet. Please let me know how it goes if you do try it.

Ok, I can finally confirm this after several tries because I kept picking an animal companion that is bugged and doesn't show up, wolf, so I went with dog. Then I gave myself 3 mythic levels and went Azata and now I have 2 animal companions.

I do believe you can have 2 animal companions but I'll test it tomorrow to make sure. I ended up installing a mod that lets me add levels and mythic levels so that I can just test stuff out and see if some combos and abilities are working. It will probably take a lot of retries.

As has already been said, these people ARE the experts with the vast majority having been in the military themselves or having some other relevant experience.
