  1. Wut? It even works with figurines. Yet another reason rangers suck.
  2. Oh. Why don't I feel like buying game 1 on steam...
  3. What doesn't matter exactly? What you take. Because hard is not hard at all so it 'doesn't matter'. All fights can be done with 3-man party as well. Sure, but the question is what build would be fun. You can solo with any build, but that doesn't make them enjoyable. What doesn't matter exactly? What you take. Because hard is not hard at all so it 'doesn't matter'. All fights can be done with 3-man party as well. What I specifically meant was the weakness of the barbarian, too little accuracy. On hard all the monsters can be hit way easier because they have 15 points less deflection. The nerf to deflection and and the accuracy buff from Perception could change that. makes it easier again for the barbarian who never was a deflection heavy build.
  4. Even though I usually prefer GOG I'm fighting with myself to buy White March on Steam. There are always early betas on steam and in this game I don't mind testing new content. So idk, anything against steam, other than it's less cool than GOG?
  5. Nah, a cipher still needs Dex, because casting time. I personally will only max Per in 2.0 and go for something like 12 MI, 15+/- IN, 12+ DEX.

  7. Ok on hard it doesn't matter. You basically have 15 accuracy more, because the monsters have 15 def less. In comparison even the 9 accuracy we'll get in 2.0 look bad.
  8. Thats true, though no purely martial class will ever outdamage spellcasters. Don't know about the barbarian, is he better in 2.0, because in 1.06. He kinda sucks.
  9. I can only share about my tank fighter, but I don't think the difference is huge. Fighters have armored grace after all which enables them to attack faster in heavy armour. In 1.06 the fighter is not quite there, yet. But in 2.0 with maxed Per you should do massive damage with dual wield sabres. The up to 9 extra accuracy will let him be beastly.
  10. I always take all three, but never use Mind Plague, lol. It's a good power, but doing famage is more fun. :D
  11. I personally like Goldpact because you can not only get Gift from the machine, but sacrifice Eder (or another companion) to the blood pool and gain 2 Might +2 Deflection. Also in the songbird quest, there is a cruel dialogue, which if you don't want even 1 point in, might be too much already for a pala that despises cruelty.
  12. It's a shame you only use it against dragons, though, the aoes are way more fun in the standard fights.
  13. Oh, yeah the defender nerf sucks. Bye defensive fighter. What you mean 10 Resolve, resolve still gives deflection?
  14. As long as you don't solo 8-9 deflection don't mean that much. Solos will be harder but still doable. Going for high Con is smart, whether you need 18 idk, 12-15 sounds fine.
  15. Party on hard. For several reasons, I never finished the game so far, despite all kind memories of Baldurs Gate and the original Dragon Age (hoping for 2.0. to fix a few things). So I'm a relative noob. Everything works on hard and i mean EVERYTHING. That's because hard is not hard at all Con got buffed and Deflection nerfed.
  16. A crit kills sky dragon a hit nearly kills him. Maybe it's 25 per second?
  17. Melee rogues have the highest single-target DPS in the game, but lack AoE, which is basically what he said. Don't think even the single target dps of a rogue can keep up with spells like Disintegration. It definitely doesn't keep up with the overall dps, which is all that matters in my book.
  18. Melee or ranged? If ranged, you don't need to focus on survivability at all, even on PoTD. In 2.0 you might not want to dump Con, but the last thing you want to do is wear heavy armor. Your DPS and Focus gain will be more important to the survival of your party as a whole than will your personal survivability. In the fights that actually pose any threat to your back row at all (that can't be countered with the appropriate priest spell), like ones with teleporting Shadows, I have tried it both ways. Equipping my back row with plate armor, they still eventually died despite lots of heals, because their Health will eventually wear down and you can only heal Endurance. The same fights were easier when I had my back row in robes, and had them CC and focus fire any Shadow that got to them. I don't even have this problem with a party of 3, my cipher survived all 3 levels of the lighthouse without in between resting, even though her health steadily depleted. Ofc she was wearing plate back then. Now I finally saw the light and gave her the robe from the Vithrack bounty, but she's level 12.
  19. Awesome. Variety is better than I thought. Mind you I only soloed with cipher, monk and paladin before. So how does the fighter survive this? Maxed IN for extra long duration of the defence buff?
  20. I don't think anything remotely similar is possible with another class, lol. And I guess if you get your gear without leveling 2 is enough. Also in 2.0 2 will be very easy because of PE. You'll probably kill him with hide armour or clothing then.
