  1. Kinda but not really, little numbers flash over them almost too quick to read but they are there. HP bloat of the enemies kinda sucks but so far my own HP seems about right. The game also tracks stuff like damage given and received, biggest hit, kills, etc Oh, I meant the animations, not the numbers.
  2. Is it true, that there's basically no damage feedback from enemies when you hit them?
  3. I can't basically play PoE anymore because of the loading times. With 2.01 loading times and combat performance went through the roof.
  4. Gosh, I can't think of anything more boring than another piraty setting with lots of boring water and boring, tropical islands and random "arrrrs" and "hoist the sails, ye lads". Nu-uh. Go and play those sh**** Risen Games, there you have them Pirates. Yo-Ho.
  5. I'll pause the game and will return to it in some month or so when TWM Part 2 is released. Till then, I keep my hopes up, that those things wll be dealt with. I can live with some skills not working properly, but the loading times are to much for me. I work all day and when I have an hour or two in the evening to relax with PoE, I don't wanna sit half of the time in front of a loading screen.
  6. My barbarian can't use frenzy anymore, loading times went through the roof with 2.0, no advantage in 2.01, game is broken for me. Pitty.
  7. Any news on that matter? Did 2.01 reduce the loading times and improve the overall performance? Had no time to look into that matter today.
  8. Though "Säulen der Ewigkeit" sounds pretty awesome in contrast Yeah, just like a Ken Follet novel!^^
  9. I don't regret buying the game and am full of praise for it, but with patch 2.0 the loading times and overall performance jumped the shark. I stopped the time: 2 Minutes to get in the game after clicking on continue, 30 - 40 sec for any area transition, 20 seconds for entering random builiding. Combat is a mess now, with everything laggy and delayed. As much as I recognize the improvements done with TWM, this really breaks the game for me. Very sad.
  10. As far as I'd interpret the concept art, that "humanoid giant" clearly died a looooong time ago. Also, fighting enemies that size would be looking ridiculous.
  11. Hey there, Most of the chests in the ogre caverns show the "stealing"-symbol (red) while looting them. Is that intended? Never noticed that in a dungeon-enviroment before. It get's even more strange, because some chests are selectable via the standrad pick up-icon (blue). Thanks! Eisenheinrich
  12. I guess, it has something to do with the implemented A.I. After turning it off, the game ran smooth as usual. But with A.I. on, the game was a laggy mess and nearly unplayable. Same goes for the loading screens. They were a chore before, but now they're 30 - 40 sec long and that really puts me off. Damn, I want this game to work so much.
  13. Oh God, I wish Watchers of Eternity was the actual title, shortened WOE, like in ... um ... Woedica! That would be epic. Instead I have to say Pillars of Eternity, which really sounds funny in german.
  14. Funny, you sound like a german grognard. Down here, it's all about artsy-fartsy charakter-play and amateur dramatics. But, I guess that's just different tastes. ^^
  15. Guten Tag, let me explain this matter further. I already arrived in Stalwart and am now clearing the surroundings of Durgan's Battery. And what can I say? The combat is tough but more rewarding. Stalwart is gorgeous in terms of design and atmosphere. It think it's better done than Gilded Vale, and miles above the lifeless broadways of Defiance Bay. That guys fighting the fire at the burning hut? Very nice touch. The whole ogre attack? Chilling entry. The grumpy dwarf in front of Ondra's temple? Great character! I have the feeling of a more lively and therefore believable town. There even are better background noises than in GV and DB. As for the story, it sucked me right in. It's more basic than the mainplot and I'll always prefere nice chunk of "Reclaim what was once ours"-Questlines over the philosphical and broody aspects of the maingame. The Feeling of TWM is more of a classical adventure-module of the old days and I love this. Not to mention, I always prefered IWD over the Baldurs Gate-Saga (which I also hold very dear). So far I only can say: Mission accomplished! Eisenheinrich
  16. Guten Tag, saw this item in Stalwart and now I wanna know: What does MKII stand for? I don't have a clue. Besides, I'm having a blast with the new areas! Great job, well done! Salutes from the German Reich, Eisenheinrich
  17. So, after watching the newest Gameplay-video, I assume TWM won't be onyl snow and ice, but also Tundra and Woodland-Wilderness. Glad to hear that!
  18. That's a lie and you know it. While not as good as BG II, NWNs Campaign was far from being badly written or executed. I have fond memories of the quests that involved time travel, the quest in the snowglobe, the Captain's war and Mage Tower in Luskan and then some stuff. I remember the NPCs in NWN were mostly excellent written. But what I always loved the most about NWN ist the UI. A thing of beauty.
  19. Yeah, it gets slightly ridiculous now ... the lack of conversation between Obs and the community is strange, too.
  20. I started NWN 2 to bridge the time till the expansion. Have to say: A splendid experience! What an underrated gem.
  21. I use Kana mainly to speed up my ranged attackers in combat. Quck reload and that stuff, I guess it's called "Ila nocked their arrwos with speed" or something. Because of ranged weaponst in PoE are very powerful, this is a welcome addition.
