I don't know if this is just me, but I am finding loading of the saved games, unbearable in the late game. I have SSD and I have no problem with area loading time (which is quick) but as soon as I initiate loading of the saved game, it needs over 2 minutes to complete! At the beginning of the game, it was quick, but as game progressed, it was getting longer and longer. I suspect it is related to the world map, as it seems to me that the more of the Deadfire world map was uncovered the longer loading time was getting. Is there something I can do about this or is this just the way it is?? Loading procedure begins with about ~60 seconds of black screen where whole system is unresponsive (for example, switching to desktop doesn't work). Then ~10 seconds of loading splash-screen where system is again responsive, then another ~60 seconds of black screen with unresponsive system. And then saved game is finally loaded. My version is Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Obsidian Edition from GOG with all DLCs installed, and OS is Windows 10.
I was enjoying POE about a year back but had to stop half way through because the load times became redonculous. I want to reinstall the game but if this problem wasn't solved I won't bother. I have a strong PC handles all other games well.
I got 4 BUGS/PROBLEMS: 1.- Can start the White March missions, cause I can't talk with the steward Like: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/81328-cannot-speak-to-the-steward-to-begin-durgans-batter/?hl=steward 2.- Eder keeps wait for talking, but already chosed all options in our conversation 3.- If I respec my character, Savage Attack, keeps available without any need to pick it. And if i choose it during lvl up, i got 2 savage attack available. 4.- The loads time are hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrible.... I know a lot of people are suffering from long loading times, and even on a good system this can be annoying. Most of the time you spend a lot of time on a map, so it's not a big thing, but after playing the White March and running around in Stalwart this actually became really annoying. With all the running in and out of buildings, you spent more time watching the load screen than actually playing the game. I don't know if it's technically feasable, but my suggestion would be that in areas like Stalwart, Defiance Bay and similar the full map including it's buildings are loaded, so transitions in and out of buildings are done without a loading screen. This might make the load times for the initial entry slightly longer, but you would skip the following transitions which I'd prefer any day of the week. Love the game, and can't wait for the part of the White March!
