  1. I'm not sure I would call a SP nerf a lose/lose and a buff a win/win. numbers creep is a serious issue for any game, that wants to expand or maybe become a series at some point (with the potential to take your old save games with you e.g.). so I'd rather prefer a singular nerf to an op/out-of-balance class or ability, than a system wide +1 to anybody else.
  2. what was the average acc - deflection score you used in your formulas? the usefulness of the acc talents strongly depends on how good your acc is vs the average enemy's deflection. also as I had a discussion about the sabre in one of my threads yesterday: on average, posters agreed, that slashing faces higher DR than other weapon types. so while the sabre does sport the highest 1 handed damage, weapons with -DR, 2 damage types or +acc may often still come out on top (thread was specifically about mace vs sabre though). also, can you use your formula to map the usefulness of savage attack (overall damage difference per 100 attacks, with savage attack active or not) with high enchanted weapons and endgame talents vs the acc-deflection difference? that would be something I'd be interested about. how does this change depending on base weapon damage and enemy DR? if you stack high crit multiplier on a char, does switching on savage attack lose its usefulness earlier? if so, by how much? all in all: I think once you bring some different chance to hit into the formula, things get wild, and stop being simple.
  3. thank you all for the insight. it seems i severely underestimated the mace on first glance. which is awesome, because i like maces. next character will be a dual mace wielder now
  4. Just a quick question: what benefit does the mace offer compared to the sabre? While the mace ignores 3 points of DR, the sabre comes with a flat 2-3 points of BASE damage increase. So, what are the opinions on the matter? To me the sabre looks flat out better than the mace, once you get even a small bit of damage increase. the only other difference I can see, is that more often than not, armors have a higher DR against slashing than crushing damage, especially the heavier ones, but not sure if this counts as a general rule in favor of crushing damage
  5. oh, thanks for the tip with the control settings. i have to try that. but what actually puts me off and is the main source for the control confusion on my end is the fact, that i can not click on a character to select them. i have to click specifically on their feet/their selection circle to select them. i really have to force myself to remember this each time...
  6. Everyone has different opinions, but my problem is the real one... yeah sure!
  7. sounds like a good suggestion to me (though i'm currently thinking about running a med-might melee dps now )
  8. I support the idea that the difference could be made much clearer.
  9. Wait, so that means might is actually not that important in the long run? It's 3% damage increase per point at the start of the game but dwindles to something between 1-2% at the end?
  10. Has this been posted already: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comicsandcosplay/comics/critical-miss/13763-Art-and-the-Internet I bet the author reads these Forums (edit: Looks like it's about another webcomic on the escapist, oh well...).
  11. Path of inXile: Wasteland 2 P:E Looks good to me, though
  12. "eye patch" ist aber die Augenklappe. also reden wir hier nur von einem "stitched stylized eyeball" auf einem "eye patch". Finde die Übersetzung von Pho für den Halbsatz also ok, wobei ich evtl: ""Eine mit einem Augapfel bestickte Augenklappe ist um seinen Kopf gebunden" persönlich am besten fände.
  13. Jad make an account just to agree. I think the music is outstanding. When i started up the game for the first time, my room mate came im, and being a hobby musician himself, the first sting has mentioned, was: "Oh wow, that game got some great music." (He knew i had a new game, but approached from behind the screen, only hearing the music first.) so yeah, well done, very well indeed. p.s.: btw, i seem to be unable to upload a profile picture. are there any requirements, like specific file types?
