  1. Umm isn't this a no spoilers forum area. Mapping out what's in dungeon rooms is a spoiler.. Reporting.
  2. What is with people saying wizards are crap. They are really powerful actually. Just because you can't spam your entire grimore every combat? They have AOE ranged auto attacks, 2 times per encounter aoe damage/stun and a tome slam that's pretty good. Their CC spells are great and single handedly win fights for the party. On top of this the class scales better than the rest, so should start weaker. How does this make them weak and useless?
  3. But he's ok with the wizard slinging fireballs all over the place.... Yup this game is supposed to be real.
  4. Nothing. There are those of us who are good with strategic combat and those of us who aren't. The ones crying just aren't, it's like the ugly girl wanting to be pretty, it just won't happen for them unless they go for plastic surgery (mods later to make it easier). RPG games these days have gotten way to easy for the casual gamers and when they don't the casual gamers ruin it by crying until the devs change it. Then those of us who like the challenge throw the game away in disgust of how easy it is and not worth playing anymore. I sure hope they keep the minor difficulty of this game where it is.
  5. For me it wasn't about progressing, I simply won't play the game when it's possible for me to mess my characters up by either accidentaly double clicking or saving a game without removing all my stat gear. It ruins the playthrough for me so I have shelved the game until it's actually a game.
  6. I think it's a stylistic choice and your opinon is valid, but I for one really love the dark ominous feeling about the environments and that you really have to look to find everything.
  7. Oh, but didn't you know slicken according to the OP is the only CC spell. Nothing else would work in its place. I love seeing the normies squirm and hope they stick to their guns in not turning this into another faceroll RPG.
  8. I'm simply offended that you're offended. Please stop being offended so that I can stop being offended. Thanks.
  9. pretty legit question on the hotfix thing. In my mind the game is unplayable in its current state and I have shelved it until they fix the two big bugs. But the patch is supposed to hit tomorrow so heres hoping...
  10. Sweet I might actually be able to play this cool game i bought last week now.
  11. Any paladin with max might and dex using a reach weapon from second row will be a good DPS paladin.
  12. The fact that the visuals are boring is important. Just look at FPSs with guns that have weaksounding reports; even though they might be statistically powerful, they still won't feel satisfying. The same is true for the wizard aoe. However, on the balance side, it's a realatively small AoE that does relatively little damage twice. There's also little tactical choice in when to use it no meaningful choices regarding it. That is, you are always better off using both uses in an encounter (assuming the fight lasts long enough), you are always better off trying to hit as many targets as possibly (but they tend to cluster together, so that's not too big of an issue), and it will always just be a small amount of damage + daze on a small burst at close range. It can't be a cone that does slow, a touch attack that hits a single target for lots of damage, a bolt or anything else. There is a tactical choice on when to use or not use the per encounter abilities, it is called your spells. So no you are not always better of using both uses per encounter. It isn't all or nothing on spells or encounter abilities. Yes the damage is a bit low on the AOE encounter ability but it does daze which in turn does alot of damge by letting your other members hit and crit more as well as get hit less I think you are way undervaluing the ability especially on a wizard with high might the damage is pretty good for an encounter AOE ability. Again you can aoe your auto attack as well, the wizard has so many options, and their spells are powerful enough that they don't need to be spammed unless you are not playing well. I for one like how they've done the wizard because they have so many encounter options and it's not just spamming your grimore spells so they feel special. I mean you can still cast once or twice from your grimore per encounter and still not have to rest that often. They have done a great job with the wizard as it still scales like old D&D games but has more options early than said games for contribution to more fights.
  13. Might does affect the endurance regen. I would say for orlan fighter tanks you max perception, and resolve, after that it's just flavor choice unless on POD difficulty where you will need some con for not getting one shot. As said though it's just flavor choice after perception and resolve. flavor examples Int for longer trip times. Might for a little more damge and healing regen cond for defense vs burst damage and bolstering fort defense dex for having more "uptime" on your activated abilities. (not sitting as long waiting for recovery times for trips and such, as they are based off the initial attack speed of the attack used + modifiers.)
  14. I find stealth useful on my second liners (polearm users) if i have low stealth on the tank i can keep the secondliners closer behind them at the start of a combat without having to worry as much about my secondliners getting targeted and allowing the tank to pick up the engages without having to wait to bring in the second line damage. However, yes athletics is neccessary for not having to rest so often, and I think survival is very strong if you are making food recipies.
