Am I the only one who couldn't hate Darth Traya?
vaxen83 replied to Darth Zaskaszh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Odd that in the Korriban vision it is BLUE. Since you seem to love the statistics of lightsabers why do you think she uses the three at the end.It has been a while since I've played so I can't make suppositions on the reasons for the colours, and I don't remember them.. Lucian, I think It would be nice if Disciple quoted Orlando..'bish bash bosh I cut of his leg'....sounds better in Italian. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Her lightsaber colour might have been anything. In any case, colours might not always reflect a force user's position. If we considered what kinds of sabers she used, blue was used by her in the Sith cave, red was another she used in movie when she was confronted by both Sion and Nihilus, and purple for her multiple saber attack. Red is used by her again in end battle when dueling with her. Vague, isn't it? I think the triple saber attack was a demonstration of some kind of DS technique involving telekinesis of some kind since she loses both her wrists, one of which is hacked off by Sion. Given that the promo stuff showed Kreia wielding a double-bladed green saber, which was why I was thinking of what kind of green that could be. And she could have wielded a single lightsaber when confronting Sion on Harbinger. Not sure why it was with a vibrosword instead. Also, Sion simply cutting off her wrist without Kreia demonstrating defensive tactics of any kind or sparring at all tends to be a bit simplistic, especially since her skills in end battle show otherwise. -
One has to wander how Kreia understands intimately Kae's personality in a way that other K2 characters might not.

What Did You Like About Kotor 2?
vaxen83 replied to CoM_Solaufein's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If the last Handmaiden was differentiated from the other Handmaiden sisters, they would not look like duplicates of each other. -
With an Assassin, would preferably use Insanity as a main force power. Force Wave makes things a bit too easy.
-
Well, considering an LS story for K2, it could have been more detailed. And Kreia's constant manipulation sometimes can make dialogue a bit tedious. Anyway, it somehow feels easier for Jedi Masters on Dantooine to be drained empty of life by Kreia who also knocks Exile unconscious with a force wave rather than having an Exile PC sparring with those Masters and absorbing their knowledge of certain Force forms. Besides, story tends to revolve around Exile and Kreia.

Most powerful Jedi.

Mace Windu was probably skilled in the Ferocity lightsaber form. Find Windu's lightsaber a bit interesting as it tends to relate to colours red and blue, like somewhere between DS and LS. -
So far, in terms of DS/LS force powers, might not be able to think of any yet. Have been considering a further form of Battle Meditation, that has a capacity to induce NPCs who not party members to fight against each other. (Probably a universal force power) Might give it a name like Conflict Conflagration which is a universal power. Induces both party members and NPCs to fight against their own kind they know. There might be times when such a power is offered as a dialogue option that could incite some heat into an argument between two NPCs, inducing them to blow up into a quarrelsome debate that escalates gradually towards a fist fight. So far, have yet to see such a power that creates divisiveness among animals and people. Say, for example, those boma beasts and cannoks inhabiting Dxun's jungle terrain. However, this power is limited to small-scale battles, and could not bring two major parties co-habiting on a planet against each other where armies might be involved.

If you are thinking of amplifying damage further, could go for Guardian and either Weaponmaster/ Marauder so that you might get increase in damage or Str from either LS/DS mastery. Believe that Marauders have a skill called Fury or Frenzy that increases Str by 6 points. Also, Weaponmasters are able to increase their basic melee damage by between 2-6 points. Find a GNS strength enhancer to give +4 to Str, Sith power gauntlets for +3 to Str, and a Power implant to add an additional +2 bonus to Str. Furthermore, either Disciple or Bao-Dur can create Strength upgrades for armour that your PC is wearing.
-
Anyway, getting back to topic. (Sorry, a bit carried away) Basically, any first planet that is gotten to after Telos, three parts have to be obtained for sabers. Can be Nar Shaddaa, Dantooine or any planet. K2 is structured in such a way that it is not possible to not get those three parts for your first saber. Talk to Bao-Dur after obtaining them and he will fix it for you. Some upgrades for sabers include Ultimate Diatum Cells, Expert Fencing Emitters, and Adegan Lens. Bao-Dur's skills will assist with creating these items. Your PC needs to have Repair skill as almost every time components are broken down from unneeded items, amount of components obtained is based on Exile's repair skill rather than repair skills from party members.

Who did you keep in your party the most?
vaxen83 replied to Dark Romeo's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Disciple was hardly in my party for female PCs. -
You could also transfer 2 points from Charisma to Wisdom to increase max force points slightly. Str at 16 might be ok. With a pair of Sith power gauntlets and LS mastery, initial Str will increase by another 6 points.
-
Just thought of Cyan. It was left out from being an option in conversation choices with Atton in choosing initial lightsaber colour which Atris shows on Telos.
-
Somehow, think his Prestige Class could be a weaponmaster. Always tends to emphasise power of dark side. He has managed to use twin sabers before. Wisdom could be at least 12.
-
Either way is fine. Canonical gender could have been male, and I might still play as female.
-
Atris lightsaber colour was a close resemblance to cyan in terms of conceptual posters, but ended up using a red one towards near end of game. Kreia's was something close to green/viridian, but she used floating purple sabers. These being some examples of colour confusion for saber users.

Revan vs Palaptine!
vaxen83 replied to OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)'s topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Depends. Masters like Windu could be powerful in some sense. Perhaps like mastery of sabers or in terms of some parts of Force understanding. -
Wikipeda just mentions that Arren Kae was a girl with blonde hair and a bun. (By the way, how does blonder hair turn grey and white with age?)
-
Just not too sure if there were any reasons for Exile being female.
-
Ok, it depends on PC's current strength. If strength is at least 20-24, then lightsaber damage would be close to 10-30. Assuming that maximum upgrades (high damage crystals, emitters, cells and lens are considered) are available, damage could be close to 30-40. (Might even be more than that) On average, around 35. Critical hits double that. Average damage can go up to 40 or even 50.

For the tomb, there are two paths for left and right. Both lead to puzzles that have to be solved in order to get items from stone boxes near a computer console for each one. Answer for puzzle on left is Module C. Think answer for puzzle on right is 6 x 2 - 4 +5 X 1. (See if this answer is accurate and save game before even trying) Collect items in boxes after puzzles are resolved. There is an inactive droid on right path. If you have either T3 or Bao-Dur, use Repair to activate it. Use workbench there to upgrade armour and weapons. Through the door straight ahead from path that leads on from tomb entrance, clear out Sith troops. There is another door ahead, and three Sith/Dark Jedi. Just use Energy Resistance, Master Speed, and Force Wave if possible to take them out. Mandalore deals substantial damage if he is in your party and has vibrosword weapons Two paths go left and right from there. Get to either one and pull lever to open door to Freedon Nadd's resurrection ritual. Clear Sith enemies and find yourself confronting three Sith Masters. Activate Energy Resistance and depending on which party member those Sith chase, lead them around ritual area in circles. Then, once in a while, Force wave them. Even half damage from force powers helps. Keep using your party leader to heal other characters (assuming party leader has gained Jedi levels) And if all this does not work, then make sure that your party leader can still run around the pool of water. If you had equipped your lead character with Biorestorative underlays for either robes or armour, healing would not be difficult.

Am I the only one who couldn't hate Darth Traya?
vaxen83 replied to Darth Zaskaszh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Darth Traya's background. And her lightsaber colour that OE thought of reserving for her initially, but which was hardly in game. -
In any case, Jedi Guardians get +3 to Str from LS mastery.
-
Actually, a background of Darth Traya here does show a slightly different interpretation of her role in K2 than what OE chronicles have described Kreia as.
-
It is a randomly generated item.
-
Whichever planet you start off with, collect and locate parts for lightsaber. Upgrades for lightsaber might be like crafting items like Expert Fencing Emitter, Adegan Lens and an Ultimate Diatum Cell. Crystals like Pontite crystal can be obtained from the Queen's museum in Onderon's palace. Quite a few items are randomly generated, crystals included. If you have done Onderon and Dantooine, speak to Rodian on Nar Shaddaa to establish trade routes with her. Looking at her inventory after that will allow you to obtain crystals like upari and lordian gemstone. Some crystals like sigil, ankharres sapphire, Kai-burr and ultima-pearl will pop up once in a while. Damage with your saber also depends on your saber form. Ataru increases critical threat range of lightsabers by 1. Although the personal crystal from Dantooine adds bonuses to stats based on your alignment and level, it does provide some increases to strength and damage by a bit.
