  1. - Recommended for everyone with good taste. - Recommended for people who like Eels or John Parish (get the bonus disc version, it's better, if you can't find it, look for the 'Rotten World Blues EP' which is basically the bonus disc anyway) - Recommended for everyone who likes good metal. (this one's sorta hard to read. It's "Wayward Sons Of Mother Earth" by Skyclad) - Recommended for people who like Alice In Chains and grunge.
  2. Okay, I can understand that people don't think a tie is interesting enough, but man, saying Argentina and Holland were playing badly, that's just dingo. Both teams had an excellent run in that game.
  3. Black Sabbath - Sabbra Cadabra Still on a huge Black Sabbath kick.
  4. Son of a dingo. I can't go, I can't afford it. Oh, the woes of a starving college student/artist.
  5. That song sticks in your head so badly. The Flaming Lips - Free Radicals (A Hallucination Of The Christmas Skeleton Pleading With A Suicide Bomber)
  6. Eh, you're probably going to be fine. Good luck though.
  7. Black Sabbath - Embryo Black Sabbath - Children Of The Grave
  8. Holland has an all-proffesional army. I didn't have to go. I wouldn't have gotten in anyway. Asthma, hayfever, allergies, and the overwhelming urge to point anything with a barrell at ducks (damn you duck hunt!).
  9. That's because all artists only have one song on it. For Billy Joel, it should have been Pianoman.
  10. Sad Sappy Sucker is only interesting for Modest Mouse diehards, though. It's basically a bunch of B-sides, songs they recorded before they became serious, and stuff from, honest-to-god, Brock's answering machine. Although Birds Vs. Worms is a nice track to play on guitar because it's simple and catchy. Dio - Holy River
  11. Wow, Def Leppard's drummer still has both arms there.
  12. Cliff Richards and The Young Ones - Living Doll Still brilliant. EDIT: Also, I grew up in the 90's but I know all these songs. I blame my parents. EDIT: OH GOD DANZIG. *drooling fanboyism*
  13. I've never used my tears for manipulation. Oh, and I'm not crazy. Men are emotionally retarded... I learnt that at uni and from personal experience. It's a sad truth, so accept it. Crying is a form of release and is a good thing if it is required for the said purpose. Keeping things bottled up is unhealthy and leads to further emotional problems. This is a very unfair observation and says more about you and the kind of men you choose to hang out with rather than men in general. I'm retarded in many ways, but not emotionally. (Yes, I know I'm going to be the butt of many jokes for that comment, because people here have absolutely no imagination when it comes to joking and mocking.)
  14. That was the scene I was talking about too.
  15. I have actually heard this comparison before but specifically about "Good News For People Who Love Bad News" (they said something like "now Brock's suddenly trying to be the new Tom Waits, a much harder act to swallow"). There were a couple of good bits on that record, couple of mediocre ones and a couple of bad ones. "Dance Hall" specifically, is a track I wished they hadn't put on there. A friend of mine started listening to Tom Waits today (courtesy of me) and she actually said "he sounds like the devil", so yeah, speak of the devil. Kamelot - Memento Mori
  16. Frodo was indeed far better in the book. Not nearly as whiny or weak. Movie Frodo did nothing but get stabbed and trampled and helped by his friends. Book Frodo was smart and did a lot of things on his own strength.
  17. I came close to crying when I read through the Megatokyo archives for the first time. That comic is so depressing later on. I'm 18.
  18. You're a sad, sad person with no feel for friendship or camraderie. I wasn't able to get much of a feeling with the book (I read it right after The Fellowship Of The Ring came about because I wanted to know what happened next) because I didn't really dig the writing style. I'm more of an audiovisual person. Reading's not my thing. When I write a story I usually end up doing it storyboard style instead.
  19. What, I'm gay for Frodo now? Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, but I'm not. I cried because their friendship was being broken up. That's hard. I've had this happen before myself. This happened in the scene I described as "when Frodo left for Valinor". Your reactions really say a lot about how insecure you guys are about your sexuality.
  20. I suggest "The Lonesome Crowded West" and "The Moon & Antarctica" Also, Burn Piano Island Burn is really insane. There are two things about that album. 1: It's loud as dingo. 2: There are so many pretty and catchy melodies hidden underneath all the noise and screaming. Currently listening to: Loreena McKennit's Book Of Secrets. Purdy.
  21. Good News For People Who Love Bad News was kindof disappointing. Too much wannabe-pop-epics. My favourite track off it has got to be This Devil's Work Day. Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze
  22. Yeah, and everyone was telling us "haha you got rid of your best players u r stupid" beforehand. Still, keeper Van De Sar still shows no signs of deterioration. So sad he's quitting.
