I experienced something like that with my char. I'm not sure whether it's a bug, or if it's to do with how you play. I created a "mercenary" char (and I know it gave me the merc stats/equip since I started out with the worn equip, minerals in the hold and good relations), but for some reason I was put down as a "figthter". But after doing a series of mercenary missions for the Moloqs it changed to "mercenary"! Wo-hoo! I guess you should try doing pirately things like extorting and stuff. Also: How do you get those uber titles like "Magnate", "Hero" or "Dealer"? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You will get those titles depend on your reputation and ranks, once you gain enough exp (by fighting Dominators/Klissans and pirates) you can visit the military base to get promoted.

Sounds like fun, but I'm not getting an Xbox for this.

It plays like Star Control (the Urquan Masters), so if you like that game you will most likely like it as well. Edit: That's assumed that we are talking about Space Rangers 2, and not Star Rangers.

It's a fan made mod for their own game, there's no legal issues AFAIK.

I doubt they will do it, since this mod will likely increase K2 sales, unlike that C&C mod.

Controllable for me, I can't stand the henchmen in NWN because they are simply too stupid to be of any use (especially the spellcaster type).

AA is nice, but I won't die without it.

You can become lawful by not choosing any of the joking and (obviously) chaotic option, like talking to the undead in the first few levels. Hope this help.

sorry, but it played like a fps/rpg hybrid to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How you play it is irrelevant, what matters is how everyone can play it. Blowing the crapola outta everything is the only way shooters are generally played, whereas in Deus Ex it's just one way to play. A game that allows you to play through the entire thing relying on stealth and avoiding combat is not a shooter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How you think about it is irrelevant, what matters is how everyone thinks about it. You can download the IWD 2 portraits for BG 2, then use them in IWD 1.
