Yesssssssssssss. I saw Blackalicious at some festival thingy over here. They were fantastic. ADF Soundsystem were also great. I nearly exploded when they dropped the Prodigy's "Charlie" into their set. Also, if anyone wants some silly (but fun) "jump around" type rap, try Ugly Duckling.

If it wasn't for rap, we wouldn't have such divine albums as Massive Attack's Blue Lines, or Tricky's Maxinquaye.

What's the difference though? I mean when does sampling stop being a rip-off and start being creative? I'm not having a go at rap here, I am rather partial to it. Hell, one of the best live shows I've been to was a hip-hop show. I also saw the Beasties at a festival last year and they are still phenominal.

Music doesn't need purpose. Why would it? It's entertainment.

I've just got a 20" iMac G5 at the moment with the 2.1Ghz processor in it. 250Gb hard disk, ATI X600 PCI-E, dual layer DVD burner, etc, etc. I don't have the room for anything with a larger footprint.

You'll find a lot of people belting the "OMG IPOD SUX U SHEEP" button on their keyboards, and that's nice. I've had very few problems with my iPod and I rather like the seemless integration with iTunes (and indeed my iMac). It's also very easy to use - it has a nice UI and the "clickwheel" makes navigation a piece of piss. It's worth noting that while the iPod is the only music player that plays stuff from the iTunes music store, it cannot play WMA.

Wasn't there already a mod in development for that?
