:D Well for more detail: I am a right handed fencer, so naturally i felt quite unbalanced with a weapon in my offhand although i kept my stance the regular i would normally have. To even perfom the simplist of procedurs like an underhand parry or forward kata (im mixing fencing with a few other styles ive picked up recently (under the influence of 213374U )) became simply immpossible to pull off in combat. Attempted recreating some of the actions the pc used in KotOR (big mistake) my opponents foil glanced off my counterattack and hit me squarely in the chest. Personally the only possible way for that style to be of ANY use is if your constantly forming a cross around your body with both swords in a kata. I lost the duel 1-7

Instead of starting a whole new thread for this, Can anyone poke me in the right direction to some good music, i like all types and already listen to a wide variety of stuff but i need more. I think im going to bury myself in GCSE revision and music for the next couple of months with a admin text filter running i will come to the forum but it will filter out everything with an extensive list of words in it :D

Jedi should be able to do it as the lightsaber and even the blade is a part of the force, they could feel it. But goodluck trying to learn about it without force assistance... tried it again yesterday, i think i learnt how to absorb the attacks with my thigh more than parry them :D

Good idea, i was the one that got my year interested in the game and i'll be damned if i allow any of them to pay for some crappy X-Box thing now! And if they still want the game earlier... I will download and spend an afternoon cracking whatever feeble encryption they have put on it

OK just to clarify... There will NOT be 7 Forms in this game, they are EU material that is used to forge a history for a fictional reality. This game will have stances called things such as scorpion and such (style Darth Revan used in the cut scene aboard his flagship). You ask, this is the EU why shouldnt it have 7 styles? Simple, that would be worthless, not time efficient and would make alot of fans angry if they did not follow exactly what was meant to be. There will approximatly be around 3 styles which you can choose from.

I don't think that true. Jedi never looked for trouble either as Yoda said. Instead trouble is always looking for Jedi. And I do have the impression that Jedi did have Force trainning sessions and lightsaber fights. Even the younglins were holding lightsabers. Although one could say that Jedi were trainned mostly for defence rather than attaking someone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry im tired and wasnt being very coherant... Jedi are not trained to face off against other lightsaber users... I Gathered this from quotes from yoda, characters in the EU, and the Jedi's training in lightsaber combat. Jedi use the Lightsaber to defend against people user blaster technology (they use form 4 i believe ((please dont kill me if im wrong...its been a very long day)), whereas the Sith know their only opponent is Jedi, therefore they learn extensive lightsaber combat art's (Darth Maul using Staff Saber, Count Dooku using the old duelling form of lightsaber-ing (style 6 i believe once again) Too tired to type more so i will just end it at that...

If you think about them in all though, they arent as powerful at all.

Alot of Sith used arcane fighting methods. jedi didnt bother themselves with it as they were not trained for battle, that is why the Sith can kill Jedi easier than the other way around.

Luke is, in the EU (along with Exar Kun) he is just as powerful without all the Sith Magics. In the movies Yoda was out of his prime so had good force talent, but fighting drained his body too much. Sidious wasnt that powerful, but he was wise, and he was experienced... no point using a saber against someone that can sit in a chair and mangle you using the force, similar to yoda

I'd just like to point out for all you X-Box users i, as a pc gamer just looked for KotOR 2 on my mates PC... wanna know why? Because and as with all "going gold" things do, they leak onto the web. There is already (estimated as there is 1 DVD and 4-6 CD's) 8/10 of the files available... Unlucky Darth Gates, Piraters 1 Gates 0 Pc Users (depending on perspective) X-Box users (No real benefit) Im personally going to download the soundtrack, ouch, sorry obsidian dudes. But as for the game im leaving that on the web for some other nutter... i want to buy the game and give all the hard workers a payday but i'd just like to point out... The more anticipated a game is... the more gamers that are interested... The MORE piracy there will be because you will get a disgruntled pc user doing some naughty stuff Also back to the flame war between PC and X-Box, if you really wanna push a crazy assed mo'fo' into bringing down the X-Box live service (this is NO threat, but can be interpreted as one if you want), stop this war because all someone would have to do is ask "Myth" (well known for bringing down the Msn Servers and X-Box live servers for 3 days in the past, to do it again... because you know what, they prefer PC's O and Btw if you want plug and play mod a X-Box Controller with a Usb Adapter, get an emulater and buy x box games for the pc... big whoop <_<
