  1. That would be considered bribery and Naboo would soon have another Senator... There was a request on a Russian KOTOR forum to draw Revan and Bastila having sex. Someone said: "Only if Revan is a man, otherwise, it will be perversion..." Jokes aside, I don't think they would go that far. But obviously, fanfic writers will disagree. Word of warning: don't portray Jedi like monks. Those who don't isolate themselves from the community certainly aren't. Besides, the personal lives of KOTOR-era Jedi seem to be less restrictive than those of the movie era (but obviously more restrictive than those of the NJO ). At least they are allowed to have private property.
  2. Why do people care so much about that lightsaber when they get plenty of them throughout the game? Or about Atris... In the final game, she's a rather minor character, and she better be left that way. I'm not sure if I could stand her as a party member.
  3. There are standard trigger points at certain locations. Actually, there are plenty of them throughout the game. For me, the Bastila/Mission and Bastila/Carth interactions fired in the Upper City of Taris.
  4. They do mention the Sith. Their refusal to fight the Sith is one of the reasons why Kreia despises them. ("Take me to Atris. She will have the strength to do what the Council cannot.")
  5. Precisely. Minor choices define who you are, not one big choice. The ending of KOTOR I doesn't actually depend on your alignment, it depends on whether you agree to follow dark Bastila or not.
  6. Actually, you can unlock the "How did you become Mandalore?" branch. However, it requires triggering all of his, like, four influence points to get 82 influence. - Onderon: support Ponlar and provoke an uprising. Tell him you support Vaklu and want to attract his attention. - Talk to Anda and agree to remove the three captains off their posts (you don't actually need to complete this quest). Again, tell Mandalore you want to attract Vaklu's attention (ensure that Mira, Visas and Kreia are not in the party). Note: you don't have to support Vaklu. You can decline Tobin's offer in the cantina, it won't result in influence loss. - Onderon (return): support Talia and agree to kill Vaklu. - Ravager: kill Tobin. However, before doing so, enter solo mode and guide Visas away from you and Mandalore, otherwise she'll leech influence.
  7. Yes, especially for the KOTOR era, where most characters are considered minor and don't have articles or have stubs merged in "Lists of minor characters". Marvelous.
  8. I had the same problem with an NVIDIA card as well, before I installed the latest drivers.
  9. Wow, I can definitely see her playing Visas in a TV series . Those wild eyes would be hidden under the veil anyway... Just like there is no Bastila but Jennifer Hale.Except there won't be any KOTOR TV series, and even if there were... By the way, is there a gallery of TSL voice actors somewhere?
  10. How about sending her a petition?
  11. Randomly Generated Name was... clever. "I'm not Revan, I'm Randomly Generated Na... wait, I should have known!"
  12. Obsidian didn't use Exile for the character name. Exile (and the longer form, Jedi Exile) is a fan nickname designed to somehow refer to that character. I wonder how they will call the KOTOR III main character...
  13. I think it's a KOTOR I problem, I had the same glitch with an NVIDIA card. Never encountered anything like that in KOTOR II or other games.
  14. I never have credit problems. The only other exploit I remember is Atton's infinite influence exploit with the playing pazaak in your head?" option.
  15. Why, why in the galaxy doesn't she want to write a KOTOR II parody? ((
  16. But the NPCs who have names are supposed to have roles! (This is why Taepalae in K2 is confusing, too...)
  17. Nonsense. We know who is Atton and Disciple's romantic interest: the female Exile. Hardly gay for me.
  18. I'm thinking about a text game engine that uses dlg files of the KOTOR format and NWScript for customizing dialog nodes. The bytecode proved to be very easy to learn and the interpreter small and easy to write (I have already written most of it and it works with nwnnsscomp, although if you see the code you'll probably die of laughter). The syntax properties are not a requirement for such a project, of course, but a matter of personal preference. I like NWScript and don't like Lua, that's all. By the way, Dashus, can you please explain the bugs you mentioned? What is shortcircuiting and how to reproduce the bug with corrupted switch statements?
  19. Wel, now that we have ROTS, I doubt we'll have many more Force ghosts running around. Even Ajunta Pall and other ancient Sith Lords are sort of a contradiction between G- and C-canon.
  20. Kreia is D-E-A-D. As dead as one can be. Either you toss her body into the depths of Malachor, or Malachor explodes, making her resurrection even less likely. Nihilus is also dead, unless they have a clone supply like Palpatine did. But I think Obsidian won't repeat that cheap, tacky plot device from Dark Empire.
  21. Well, it's not necessarily a bad thing, maybe you'll learn Force Sight ... Corn Flakes, that's strange. If you encountered Carth at least once, then you definitely should encounter Carth after blowing up the Ravager. Maybe it's because [you were DS? Should check trigger conditions...
  22. I hate Lua. And yes, there are C-style scripting languages, but they are either too heavy for embedding in simple projects or don't have the features I want: strict type checking, explicit variable declaration, and preferrably a byte-code layer, while avoiding overbloated syntax. When I saw NWScript, I thought it was just what I needed.
