  1. No one is ignoring any of it. People simply think it's not exactly fair to judge millions of people by actions of a tiny minority. Like it wouldn't be fair to say that all Serbs are borderline fascists just by looking at you. I'm sure most of them are lovely people.
  2. Please show me where i said anything even close to that.
  3. We don't know yet if the problem is refugees or something else.
  4. Ah, i see. Dictatorship is bad except when it's good. Okay.
  5. Lol, and how people like Putin rule and stay in power? And before you're going to say anything, recently a man was sentenced to 5 years in prison for holding a sign in public. And as you can guess it didn't say "I love Putin". So please, explain to me how a dictator happen to rule Russia? Is it because russians are simply used to violence and harsh punishment? Or maybe the answer is a little bit more complicated than that, just as with Middle East? Rosbjerg is absolutely right, every generation had it's own bogeyman. Unfortunetly every new generation forgets about it and the cycle begins anew.
  6. Well, considering we don't even know yet if there is a problem, my solution to it would be better integration. Education, jobs, control. As i said, Moscow has trouble with immigration too. And there're a lot people who think just like that, let's deport all of them and be done with it. Of course these people don't bother themselves with trying to actually understand the issue. Because if they did, they would see that the real issue are not immigrants per se, but corrupt goverment, police and business, who all profit of people who are practically used as slaves. No wonder some of them then become criminals. Obviously, the situation in Europe is probably a little bit different, still i imagine the solution is mostly the same. It's just a matter of creating a system that works.
  7. Just in case you don't know, Moscow has pretty significant problems with immigration and terrorism too. And i oppose building walls here just as much as in Europe.
  8. Well, some might say that the way immigration was handled was pretty bad. So in a sense, "native population" is not completely blameless. And i'm absolutely thinking in terms of what's best for me. I live in Russia, multicultural, multireligious country. I have no desire whatsoever to barricade myself from anyone. I want to leave in peace with everyone and i would rather take a long and hard route than an easy and fast one if it meant acheiving that goal. And btw, one thing i have to add. No one has been convicted yet, investigation is still ongoing. Yet you act as if you already know who exactly is responsible and why. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Looks like what i said earlier, that you don't really care who's guilty here. You hate muslims and this is a chance to hate on them a little bit more.
  9. If you cut your finger, take the whole arm off. No arm, no problem. An easy, not terribly complicated solution that doesn't take any time. Perfect.
  10. Of course. Just build a wall and every problem will be solved. That seems to be a popular sentiment around the world right now.
  11. The more i read discussions about this and other similar topics, the more i get the feeling that a lot of people really couldn't care less about the victims or finding real solutions to the problem. They just want something that confirms their own agenda. Disappointing.
  12. I imagine if you read Remark's book synopsis on wiki, they might sound quite dull too. Yet they are anything but.
  13. Maybe you should read the books first before claiming that? Seems odd to judge something without even knowing anything about it. Or to judge books by playing a game... Btw, a review of Sword of Destiny. Lots of spoilers, so skip to last paragraph if you don't want them. http://unitedfederationofcharles.blogspot.ru/2015/06/sword-of-destiny-review.html
  14. Huh? "Unexceptional, middle-of-the-road"? I'm not sure those who read them would agree. And while i don't read that much, i did read Lord of the Rings among other things. And if Witcher is unexceptional, what the hell that makes LotR then?
  15. Not so bad if you'd prepped your mind for this months ago. To me it's more about the why and how now. I remain ever curious as to why actions like this are considered profitable or why all companies seem to follow this pattern. Because they are profitable? You spend less making the game and still get huge sales. So why bother making it better? Companies like Bethesda will only stop doing that when gamers stop bying their games.
  16. Well, for example i know there are some groups in US trying to get money out of politics. You can join one of those. Sure, it's not as fun as complaining on the couch, thinking you're one of the few who "understands", but you gotta start somewhere, right? Changes won't happen on their own.
  17. "If you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror." There is an escape, and quite an easy one too. Go out there and change things. Also, you are exaggerating. I pretty much live in the "dystopia" you described, and sure it's bad but still a very long way to cyberpunk.
  18. A little bit too dramatic, no? Somehow i doubt this bill is going to be the end of civilization as we know it.
  19. 100 million if they just spent it idiotic stuff will give them game body that is playable and can be expanded in future (like most successful MMOs). As they have cult following like fan base that has given them already 100 million dollars, it is not impossible or even far reached task to get 100-200 million dollars from selling actual game when its is ready and continue the development of the game and then sell more and develop more and so on and so forth. Of course there is always high change that such hopes don't ever realize and they never achieve the goal they aim towards. But their current success gives indication that game have possibility to be actually successful MMO. That could've been possible if they stuck to their original pitch. They could've built the base and slowly added more stuff, like Elite does now. Problem is, that's not what they're doing. CR wants it to be "everything for everyone" from the very first day. They actually plan to release game sooner than most of the stretch goal stuff is ready (if they haven't changed their plans, as I don't follow the game's development, as I am not backer or I am not interested to play the game), although they have increased original scope some what with their single player campaign and FPS modes and such, which have delayed their project, but in my understanding otherwise they have not changed their plans in grand scheme of things. Well, FPS and campaign are a big deal by themselves. In any case, we'll just have to wait and see i guess.

  21. I just want to remind people that Mark Kern (lead of vanilla WoW) got his refund with the words "not on my money". And said that to ever have a hope of releasing the game they promised (biggest MMO to date) they would need at least ~200 million. And that's of course just the money, actually building it is the whole another problem. Personally, what i can see is 4 years of develompment and a pre-alpha at best. Yeah, if you use your imagination, you can see a game made on top of that. The issue though is whether they can actually make it, and the answer here is not as simple as some would like it to be.
  22. Just because there are some fantastical elements doesn't mean you can throw away logic.
