I really love that post, Llyr.

Woah woah. That's not positive enough. Think happier thoughts.

Bioware/Bethesda appreciation thread
No. Male Shepard? Hah. No. Being positive, KotOR was a good game. I've deleted my memories of Male Shepard. And I enjoyed Mass Effect's ending more than the rest of the game.

World of Warcraft
Anyone. They have a lot of servers, so just ask your friends which one they play on.

Minimum percent run?
I don't think you can complete AP 100% simply because your choices open up certain opportunities and deny you others. But the "Dossier" aspect might be possible to complete.

World of Warcraft
WoW is worthless if you don't have any friends playing.

Bioware/Bethesda appreciation thread
Now, Obsidian is great, I'm glad we all agree on that. But Bethesda and Bioware also do good things and I think it's time we put our hate aside and see the positive in those two developpers who just don't get enough love around here. I'm not saying we start treating every good thing they do as God's gift to gaming, but still... Here, I'll start. I like Bioware's voice actors. They're always pretty good, especially Jennifer Hale, and I like Carth/Kaidan's voice actor (mostly because he also played Scorch in Republic Commando.) Bethesda makes some big open worlds that have some nice places to explore. Like Megaton. That was nice. Point Lookout's trippy mushroom scene was nice too. Oblivion and Mass Effect were pretty. Mass Effect's ending was very epic and enjoyable.

New Mass Effect 2 character
Nah, they're just making Shepard a jerk because every fan of theirs thinks it's awesome. Being a murderous badass is now the epitome of roleplaying. PS: You can really feel the love in this thread.

New Mass Effect 2 character
Because ME's characters were boring.

What are you playing now
I don't see the difference. You can pick up dead guys and throw them on other guys (all the time). But mostly I prefer the whole "I'm throwing tables with my MIND" aspect to just throwing them with a gun.

What are you playing now
I started to notice how awesome the physics for Half-life 2 were around the first advisor scene. That looked amazing... honestly Episode 2 was pretty good. At least you got to see some important events happening. I finished Gears of War 2 as well. Excessively good looking, provided entertainment for as long as the campaign lasted and the plot is great as long as you skip all the cutscenes. Oh, and you get to ride a giant dinosaur with gattling guns on its hands and a giant rocket cannon on its back.

What are you playing now
For the record I think Bioshock did the Gravity Gun much better than Half-life ever did.

What are you playing now
I actually thought that was pretty meh the first time around. It's not really scary, but what mostly got to me where the endlessly spawning zombies (There's a special circle of hell for this). Not to mention the level design is just... weird. There's always a very specific way to go somewhere and searching for it reminds me of those point-and-click adventure games. If I want scary, I'll get the Nightmare house mod. I need to stop bitching about Half-life 2.

Don't google it. Check here instead. It's safer for your eyes.

What are you playing now
I've gotten to the Black Mesa East "cutscene" in Half-life 2... ugh. So pointless. But I really want to get to that 10000 achievement points mark, so I'll keep playing.

DRM Thread
Piracy is just another word for stealing, really. I hate it when people make up excuses. But removing SecuROM out of a game (let's suppose it's a legit copy)... now how can you blame anyone for that?

New Mass Effect 2 character
Oh great, another strip club. By the way, that trailer probably showed all there was to Grunt. He probably doesn't have anything interesting to say other than "I like to kill stuff". [/pessimism]

Star Wars the Old Republic
I honestly don't believe this game will do anything else than crash and burn.

Games you are looking forward to
Bioshock 2. As long as it's just as well written as the first, I'll love it.

DRM?
So guys, what DRM?

World of Warcraft
Flamestrike used to be so awesome in Warcraft 3. :'(

Awesome/interesting games no one has heard of
I laughed. ...Forgive me.

Torment 2: City Of Doors
That would win an "Most Artistic Game of the Year Award".

Starcraft II campaign stuff
The commentators mostly ruined the battle reports for me. I can't stand them, but hey, at least it showed some new gameplay.

Starcraft II campaign stuff
Looks... okay. Nothing particularly interesting, except maybe for the fact the game is very pretty.
