Fallout 3 is fun game, but I sure as hell didn't feel like it was all that much of a sequel to FO1 or 2. Nothing wrong with that, of course.

Are there any other animals native to Vegas that you could turn into huge monsters? FO3 was lacking in that department.

Do what I did and put the game on easy, skip the sidequests and skip all the dialogue. Not only is it more enjoyable - the combat gets shorter, you don't need to visit those boring sidequest planets and the dull conversations are mostly removed - but the game can be completed in 5 hours!

MW2. Tried the FAL for about 30 games or so. Should've dropped it earlier, but then I tried the smaller rifles (P90/UMP45/...) and gave up on that too. Guess I'll just stick to the SCAR-H as usual.

Eh, unfortunately the Dark Side Powers are always more effective. The Light Side powers are usually buffs and they're either ineffective or the fight is over when you've finally applied them.

It was a pretty ****ty caricature to be honest. I'd be pissed off too. I mean, I wouldn't scream in rage, strap explosives to myself and murder hundreds of people, but I'd still be angry at the author. There are much easier ways to protest against this sort of thing, if you're against it, and suicide bombing just seems like excessive effort.

Not really... Who the one really bad guy is or what nationality he has is not really important in the big picture though. Did we play the same game? Because the game I played wasn't patriotic at all... You need to listen to the pre-level speaches again then. It's all stuff like "We are the most powerful war nation in the history of man" said with a ridiculously masculine voice and with complete seriousness. Or "Every fight is our fight blah blah". No. No, it's not. Anyhow, the entire game screams of US patriotic war propaganda. It's actually a bit worrying that none of you even reacted to this. It probably means it sounds natural to you, which is what all propaganda is about: making the extremist sound natural. I hate when I sound like Yuushi or whatever that left wing nut in the Off topic forum is called! Oh, and I was supposed to be playing Borderlands right now (it finally arrived in the mail) but I vacuumed the inside of my computer just before Christmas and now I need a new graphics card. Don't ask. Those speeches are from Shepherd, who . You don't have to agree with him, they're pretty much there to establish who Shepherd is.

I could pretty much say the same thing of Killzone 2. At least the characters in Uncharted 2 aren't all complete idiots.

Also I always wondered if you could do something else about the Thorian. If you pick certain dialogue options, small arrows appear on the thorian node's health bar, and I assumed it would mean we could "persuade" it to cooperate and not outright destroy it.
