  1. Anybody reminded of Sion in the first picture?
  2. I'm french. I'm just not France-french.
  3. Oh well that's not too bad I guess. That Subject Zero outfit looks so much better than her regular clothes.
  4. You can't make Shepherd have a decent conversation - the character is a total moron or your average douchebag. In ME2 especially, it always goes like this: that odd choice on the left is "say something stupid and get corrected by the NPC", the three on the right are basically "say something everyone already knew or bark out an order any idiot would have already been following". And then you get into the "investigate" choices which wind up to "Tell me about X". Sometimes there are other choices on the left, which are usually "Ask a question you *know* is way too personal" for renegade choices. Just listen to Shepherd once in a while, he/she's the worst character in the game.
  5. Well I think she's hot.
  6. As long as we get trench coats and don't spend the entire game shirtless like that guy.
  7. You've played games long enough to know this is just wishful thinking. We all have.
  8. I cheated a bit in Bioshock 2 and got 9999 Adam. This literally removed at least 4 hours of gameplay from the game, even when I went out of my way to get nearly all the audio logs and all the Power to the People stations. I beat the entire game in one sitting and a food break. So, the good: -Combat is better. The weapons are a lot of fun and the upgrades on each of them just make them even crazier. There are a lot of gene tonics that alter how you play. For example, try Handyman to repair bots + Deadly Machines + Hardy Machines + Security Command 3 . Or Drill Specialist (which restricts your weapons to only the drill but boosts your plasmids) plus all the eve saver tonics, drill vampire and drill power tonics. You can charge up Cyclone Trap with other plasmids and this works very well. Even the bees are deadlier this time around, since the plasmids don't just have better damage as they level up but also different effects. Unfortunately, this same combat sometimes becomes a literal cluster**** of plasmids and gunfire and only a few abilities allow you decent crowd control. -Research is a LOT better. You don't have to constantly use the camera while you're defenseless, but actually start filming and then attack. The more original and diverse your attacks are, the more you score. -Gil Alexander/Alex the Great is probably the best character in the game, Sofia Lamb isn't too bad and Grace is also a well done character. -The Little Sisters say awesome things when you have them on your back. -Choices have more consequences this time around. I won't spoil anything, but it's not just about harvesting little sisters or saving them to turn into either Mr. Goody Two Shoes or Robo-Hitler-with-a-drill. The bad: -Like I said, the combat is a bit chaotic, and it also gets old very fast unless you start getting creative. If you bother to harvest all the corpses you can, you'll be sick of it by the end of the game. -Some of the characters are just bad, especially Eleanor. She's the most important character in the game, but she's also terribly written and sometimes annoying. Father Wales is just a religious freak, nothing new about this. As for Sofia Lamb, she might be passable, but she's no Andrew Ryan. She's not as well written, definitely not as deep since she's essentially just a mad scientist with a crazy plan that can't possibly work and is also completely useless. While Ryan had some reasoning behind him and you could clearly see the man started with great ideas that just didn't work out, Lamb is just some manipulative mad woman. Also Ryan's voice actor was great while Lamb's isn't. -The graphics... they're the same. Oh sure, it's pretty, but you'd think they'd do something new. -Rapture as a setting is getting old real quick. It has an insane amount of leaks and one can only see so many slums before getting tired of it. We barely get a glimpse of the old Rapture, which really is a shame. -You get to play as a Big Daddy. This basically means your character has no soul and is barely more interesting or deep than a robot. You even get to move just as fast and still have your free will. I don't know why they even bothered with this. Basically, this isn't much of a sequel. Maybe more of an expansion pack, but even then the story is just tacked on. Yahtzee put it best - BioShock 1 is better on its own and does not need a sequel. I haven't tried the multiplayer but I doubt anyone is even playing. Doesn't look that great either. Rental at best. I give it 8 puppies out of 2 Big Daddy drills.
  9. This is a good thing. The Codex cannot like something, it would only hurt Obsidian.
  10. It's called love, my friend. Perhaps you've heard of it? I meant she worships him a lot. Also you do not know love. Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. It is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds.
  11. Meanwhile, Tali's waaaay too obsessed with Shep, Miranda's hiding serious self-esteem issues, Jack is... Jack, Kelly likes every species including varren and Garrus is basically a giant metallic space chicken... those are somewhat disappointing romance options.
  12. This gun does everything. Looks badass too.
  13. Saw the first few hours of FF13. Gotta say I'm impressed, even the characters/story don't seem as awful as other JRPGs. Voice acting isn't too bad either, but the most fun part looks like the combat.
  14. I think that's just fan speculation. Cryo ammo doesn't give out any bonuses against anything, it just makes frozen enemies take more damage. Your pistol probably burned through the armor by sheer damage - at a certain point, whether it's weak or not against barriers, the pistol WILL break through in one or two shots. Maybe it was the Heavy pistol critical kicking in?
  15. That's why you bring a sword too. Then you block the bullets.
  16. Never used the Cain on it and always killed it. Incinerate works very well on it.
  17. Just... watch your aim. You don't want to miss a shot of that thing.
  18. As far as the timer, I'm not sure what you're referring to - you only have a few seconds to line up the shots in Chain Shot, certainly not 30. I can't speak as to the inspiration behind Chain Shot, I just know it was one of the skills that was implemented the earliest in development. I think it was more inspired by a Bourne-like mastery of situational awareness. From what I've seen, it's pretty awesome, but I think it would be even better if you could hear each individual shot (in rapid succession) instead of a single bang. Ya I agree, also it would be better to have a tiny more delay between instead of just 3 instance shot from a pistol... Like a 0.3 sec delay between each shot would be great, its more realistic, and a lot cooler and understandable. Right now its like a shotgun shot. This. I know Chain Shot has been in the game for a long time, but instantly firing all shots just looks weird and a lot less badass.
  19. GET OUT. GET. OUT.
  20. A western Final Fantasy made by Obs would probably wind up looking like a depressing mix of Planescape Torment and Arcanum. ... that would be real interesting.
  21. MAKE IT SO, OBSIDIAN.
